Capítulo 12: Chapter 11
They reached the apartment complex named Pearl River heights, the well renowned luxury complex developed by LZ Real estate and holdings. They were not all that well known but had a drastic popularity rise in the past 5 years. The ambience of the complex was very good. This particular complex had only 7 floors and a penthouse above that. What Xiulan didn't know was LZ Real estate and holdings was one of the many things owned by Lan Zhuo. The surrounding few plots around this particular complex was also under his name. The car gracefully entered the underground garage and came to a halt.
Xiulan alighted from the car and followed Lan Zhuo into the elevators. They came to the 6th floor when the elevator door opened. Xiulan who was in deep thought, came out of it as she noticed a man entering the elevator. He was about an inch shorter than Lan Zhuo, a bit on the thinner side. He had brown hair unlike Lan Zhuo who had jet black hair and brown eyes. He was a shade darker than Lan Zhuo and had a sharp jaw line. He was wearing a formal suit like Lan Zhuo.
He looked at the two of them for a moment and broke into a smirk. He quickly hid it, turned to Lan Zhuo and said "All preparations are done. The unit on the 7th floor is all set for occupation. The movers have been contacted. The area around Miss Xiulan's previous flat has been secured so once we get permission, we can clear out that flat and move all the items here. All the files that you have asked for have been arranged and the employment registration form as well. They are on the table in front of the sofa of the living room of her apartment. Anything else to he done?"
Before Lan Zhuo could respond, he turned to Xiulan and said "Hello Miss Zhang, I am Zhao Yufeng. I live in the 6th floor, just under you. I am Lan Zhuo's PA as well so let's get along"
Xiulan was surprised. She clearly heard him address Lan Zhuo by name and not as boss or CEO. She pushed that thought aside and realised that he was the infamous Assistant Zhao. Lan Zhuo was a low profile man so all his works (of appearing in the lime light) were carried out by Zhao Yufeng plus it was a known fact that Zhao Yufeng was hailed as the number one Assistant when it came to the subject of efficiency and capability. She felt honoured. She looked at him in admiration and replied politely "Good evening, Assistant Zhao, it's an honour meeting you! Let's get along!" and smiled.
Lan Zhuo ignored the smirk he received and was irritated at the look of admiration Yufeng recieved from her. Keeping that in mind, he said in a low and deep tone "No. That is all. Wait for me in the penthouse Zhao Yufeng."
Zhao Yufeng gulped. He really regretted making conversation with her and forgetting his boss's pettiness (what kind of best friend regularly gets subjected to threats?) He grumbled to himself and saw them get off at the 7th floor and continued upwards towards the penthouse.
The personnel of the complex was waiting for them at the door. He greeted them politely and passed on the keys to the apartment. Lan Zhuo took them from the man and instructed him to assign staff according to Xiulan's requirements. The personnel bowed and left.
