'I can't let Chris get the upper hand here, again' Grayson told William as they sat in Grayson's office discussing how they could stand up in case Chris makes a move.

William looked at Grayson as he finished talking. William didn't have a clue at the beginning that the Chris Grayson was talking about was 'The Christopher Finch'. Once he was aware, he just didn't know how to react to it, he still doesn't know why there's an enmity between the two but he knew that Grayson returned back to this city after three years only to get his revenge on Chris.

But for that he needed to make sure that Chris wouldn't find any dirt on him, so that he could always be a step ahead. And that's why William was there.

The last time William saw Chris was during the dinner he had with them because of Charlotte and to him Chris didn't look like the bad person here and so it was clear who was.
