To welcome the new year, Josh and Ed bought expensive firework. Nick, Sean and Alan, they prepared the firework sticks and small rocket firework for the boys to play.
The boys normally slept very early but since tonight was new year eve, they were allowed to sleep late. Nick, Sean, Alan and Hans held their youngest one and lit the the firework sticks. Mr Feng guided Calvin, Sasha eldest son. Fred watched Austen and Hugh closely. They did not want the boys got injured.
First, the kids were scared, but after while, they could not stop to light one after another.
"Becarefull" Their mother shout to remind the boys and their father. They watched from afar while had a light chat together.
Kenichi embraced Cacha from behind as they watched the kids playing. She leaned on his chest "The last new year we spent together was during my sister wedding three years ago. At that time, we only had one years old Hugh and baby Austen"
Kenichi smiled. His memory went back to four years ago when he accoumpanied her family on new year day "Back then, it was only you and me watched the firework together"
She laughed "But at that time, we were just strangers"
"Stranger who stole your first kiss"
Then they laughed together.
"Uncle K, lets play" The boys yelled from afar.
He smiled and waived the kids. Then he kissed her cheek "Babe, Thank you"
"Huh ?" Cacha did not understand why he thanked him for.
He smiled "thank you for being my wife". Thank you for giving me a home, a family.
Cache titled her head slightly befor she smiled at him. She held his cheek then kissed his lips once.
Kenichi laughed, he understood what she tried to say with her kiss. He turned her body to face him and continued their kiss.
The countdown started. 12 o'clock sharp, Hans lit the big firework that the men had set up since afternoon. The colourful fire work made the clear sky sparkling
"Happy new year hubby"
Right, another year passed.Klast year, she was his girlfriend. This year, she was upraged to his wife "Happy new year wife"
Their family holidays were last for three days. Dispite the time was too short, overall it was a wonderfull family gathering. On the second day of January Cacha, Kenichi together with Sasha, her husband and their parents continued their trip while the rest went back home.
Sasha's two children did not go with their parents. They begged and cried to go back with the rest, they preferred to stick together with their cousins. The boys uncles who were rarely spent time with them, were more than happy to bring them home.
Without the kids around, their trip turned to be triple dating. The young couples went snorkelling while the senior enjoyed the sun on the beach. Cacha really enjoyed her time, it was like late honeymoon for her.
The girls also used this trip to have bond with their mothers. When they went out together, They clung on to their mothers arm. They left behind their husband with their father.
Eventhough they had been married for three months, Kenichi and Cacha considered them self as newly wedding. As newly wedding, Kenichi wished his wife to cling on him 24/7. However, He was not selfish man.
He was fully aware that Because of him, his wife did not spend much time with her parents anymore. So, he let her do as she please. He used this opportunity to bond with his father-in-law. He also did everything to spoil his parents in law.
Hans grew up with Nick and Sean. He knew Mr and Mrs Feng were not materialistic persons. However,
Looking how well Kenichi treated Mr and Mrs Feng, Hans was worried that he lost favour. He started to compete with Kenichi. Hence, the war between sons in law was unavoidable.
They hinted the men many times to stop, but they both stubbornly continued.Witnessing Kenichi and Hans childish behaviour, Mr and Mrs Feng were speechless.
Cacha and Sasha did nothing to prevent their man either. They openly support their other half.
"My husband is the best" Cacha said proudly when Kenichi paid for their last dinner before they went back home.
Sasha was speechless. Kenichi won most of the battle of paying food. It did not stop there, Not only He booked business class tickets to go back home, He paid half of the hotel expense as well.
Mrs Feng knocked Cacha head gently "You should encourage your husband to spend money wisely"
"True" Sasha was happy that her mother critised Cacha and her husband.
Cacha signed "Mum, he said his job is earning money and my job is to spend it. what money for if no one spend it"
Mrs Feng and Sasha were speechless. Sasha was defeated "Alright, your husband is the best"
Cacha laughed "Your husband is also good. you have kids but we haven't got any. So, we have extra for Mum and Dad"
"Cha, does Kenichi have so much money so he can buy that winery in cash ?" Mrs Feng, who was rarely involved in her kids business, could not help but asked. She and her husband had been discussing about this for days.
Sasha was also curious "Does he borrow from his father?"
Cacha shook her head "I don't know much about his wealth. He only told me that he started to earn money when he was very young. I heard from Elena, he started investing in share when he was still in University. I can confirm that he doesn't borrow any money from Daddy. They haven't talked to each other since our wedding"
Cacha signed " Comparing my husband with our brothers and oppa Hans, He has much more money. But.. He has less care and love from his own family. If Nana and Grand did not call me very often, I fell like married to an orphan. I tell you,this year was the only time they remembered his birthday. Before, he never celebrated his birthday. He did not tell me openly but I know that he was very really really happy that mum cooked some food for him on his birthday"
On Christmas day, Kenichi returned his paternal grandparents call. They wished him a happy birthday. Cacha and her parents talked to the Andersons, they wished the family a merry Christmas.
"His mother.. does she talk to him at all" Mrs Feng asked.
"Not as far as I know" Cacha shook her head. They had been together for more than two years, Kenichi only saw his mother less than fingers on one hand
Sasha signed. She now pitied her brother-in-law. She and her husband visited her parents-in-law once a week. They often had dinner together. Her mother in law came very often to their place, she always brough Hans's favourite food with him.
Perhaps, Kenichi found a mother and a father figure from her parents. That was why he spoiled her parents to the extend "Cha, you should pay more attention to Kenichi then"
