With the team understanding that Batman's orders were clear and that they needed to allow him to leave on his own, the team gave each other a look.
"It is too boring in this cave. If either one of you decide not to go out with me, I will just go alone like my father is." Damien stated before grabbing his cape and running out.
Without wasting any time, Nightwing and Batgirl followed Damien as they all jumped in their own vehicles and drove off towards the city.
With Batman not going on patrol with them, this meant that Nightwing would be taking the leadership role. And the best thing with Nightwing as their leader on a patrol, is that Nightwing allows Batgirl and Damien to roam around more freely than Batman does.
Thanks to their combat experience after being under Batman's wing for several years now, Nightwing felt that Batgirl and Damien were able to protect themselves and were at least smart enough not to place themselves in too much danger without proper backup.
"Master Bruce, will I need to make arrangements for you while you are away?" Alfred asked Batman as Batman placed the mask over his face once again and was preparing to leave.
"Do not worry Alfred, I will be back in the morning. I am not going to a place, where I would feel any danger." replied Batman as he jumped into his vehicle before speeding off towards his destination.
"I should still make arrangements in case something goes wrong. Master Bruce would not be pleased if the board asks too many questions." Alfred thought to himself as he started to clean up.
Still raining very heavily, this night in Gotham felt rather lonely. The three heroes, after taking down two men who were trying to rob a woman in an alley, were now sitting on a rooftop overlooking the city.
"Where do you think he went?" Batgirl asked the other two heroes as she was using her binoculars to try to spot a crime that she and the team could stop.
"Beats me, but it seems that father changed when he saw what happened to the Joker." Damien responded. He was clearly worried about his father more than trying to find someone to give a beating to.
"What happened to the Joker was not Batman's fault. He might have blamed himself during the first few days, but, I think we all know that he would be more logical in a situation like that." Nightwing added before jumping down the roof.
"Hey, you are supposed to tell us if you spotted something!" Damien yelled out, feeling as if Nightwing wronged him in some way.
"Oh please Damien, you are just upset that he won the bet." Batgirl laughing called out as she followed Nightwing with Damien tailing them.
