Sky waited for the four tailed fox to come out of his arm so that he could teach her a lesson. But she did not come out as he had expected.
He slammed his face as he thought that she might not know how to exit the arm. After all, his arm was special and would only let them leave if you request it.
He turned and looked at Artha who was still kneeling on the ground and said in a soft voice, "wait here, I will bring your sister back."
"Let me in, my lefty." Sky did not act domineering this time. He knew that he could only get out of this situation if he could go inside his arm.
But once he entered his left arm. The scene inside dumbfounded him. The four tailed fox was currently in her pure fox form.
This did not surprise Sky much, what surprised him was that the four tailed fox had nine tails. Five of the tails were illusionary while four were solidified.
He was really dumbfounded at this scene. Was the four tailed fox actually a nine tailed fox? Was she hiding her strength all this time?
The four tailed or rather the nine tailed fox had her eyes closed, just like the first time he met her.
"Umm! What is this situation?" He asked, not being able to withstand his curiosity anymore.
The nine tailed fox did not open her eyes nor did she move her small mouth, but a voice was heard by Sky. "This is the fate of the cursed clan." This voice was devoid of emotions, like it was already used to all the injustice in the world.
[ This is the fate of the cursed clan. What does that mean. Did it mean that, once a fox turned level nine, she would lose five tails and drop back to level four.]
Feeling the lack of understanding from Sky, the nine tailed fox once again started speaking. "The cursed clan. This is what we call ourselves."
"Do you know which race is the most suitable to cultivate the soul other than the dragons and the humans?"
"It is our nine tailed fox, a nine tailed fox is very special. When it becomes a nine tailed fox, it can have nine souls. One soul for each tail."
"So our aptitude is very high at soul cultivation, it can even come closer to those of dragons, who are said to be unrivaled under the heavens."
"It is precisely our talent at soul cultivation that we are the cursed race. The 'nine souls' in our nine tails belong to the strongest beings we have killed until now."
"So instead of saying we have nine souls in our nine tails, it is more appropriate to say that we 'imprison' nine souls in our nine tails to raise our aptitude at soul cultivation."
"Once you become a nine tailed fox, you would have to start killing strong enemies to imprison their souls."
"The first soul you imprison will make one of your tail disappear and your cultivation would drop to level eight with eight tails."
"But the next enemy you kill must have a greater strength then your first kill. This makes the second opponent even more harder, as your cultivation had dropped by one level and your opponent's strength was greater than before."
"Your second opponent's soul would take away your second tail and reduce you to a level seven, seven tailed fox. While the next opponent is stronger than the previous."
"This continues until your ninth opponent who is your strongest opponent. You would have to face him with the strength of level one monster."
"This is essentially impossible and you would die before even reaching your last opponent."
"Right now I have killed five of my opponents. This is the reason why a nine tailed fox like me had dropped to level four and only have four tails."
"Artha is even more special, she had already killed her sixth opponent and currently has three tails, she would have to kill three more opponents and she would be able to start her soul cultivation and become a God."
"But she was too hasty in choosing her opponents and killed a level nine 'Heavener' as her sixth target."
"Now her opponent's should either be a God or a very strong 'level nine monster'. Do you understand now. Why we call ourselves a cursed clan." The four tailed fox finally opened her eyes and stared at Sky.
Sky was lost in a daze. So this was the case, Artha was so strong that she was able to kill a level nine heavener when she was just a level four monster.
Even though he knew that Artha probably used some tricks to kill this level nine monster, he was still very impressed at her.
[ Hump! She is my woman after all.]
Sky thought narcissistically.
As for the clan being cursed, for having stronger opponents at weaker strength, Sky did not care about that.
He himself was a weak human, but if he used his ultimate, 'be eaten move', he could probably kill a level nine God.
So he did not care about being cursed. Instead, he was more concerned about making the four tailed fox leave his arm so that he would not be disturbed the next time he attacked Artha.
"You can leave this space, by asking my left hand to let you leave." Sky suggested her. Inside he was really hoping that she would leave.
He could have told her to leave directly, but she was his sister in law now. He did not want to be so blunt with her.
But the four tailed fox shook her head, "for some reason your left hand does not allow me to leave it. It is curing my poison right now, so I think, it would only let me leave once my poison gets cured."
"How long will your poison take to be cured?" Sky asked, his face gloomy. The longer she stayed in his arm. The longer he can't make any moves on Artha.
"About three years." The four tailed fox's answer ruthlessly crushed all of Sky's dreams.
"Since I can't leave until three years, make Artha the new territory lord." The four tailed fox did not notice the gloominess on Sky's face as she continued to speak.
"I understand." Sky said as he asked his left hand to kick him out. "Kick me out lefty." He said.
Strangely the left hand really kicked him out, he even felt his butt paining from the kick. He looked at his left hand with amazement.
[ Damn! Is there something you can't do. If I ever say that I was kicked by my left hand to someone, they would see me as a fool right. Ah! I don't care anymore.]
He returned to the bedroom and saw Artha still kneeling on the ground. He sighed and pulled her up into his arms.
He pinched her small nose as he smiled and said. "Your sister told me everything. There is no need to fear your last three opponents. With me here, we will kill them soon." He said.
"Where is sister?" She asked, not taking his words seriously.
"In my arm." Sky then mentioned about his awesome left hand and his immortality.
At first she did not believe him, but once he disappeared inside and came back. She started believing him.
She smiled and hugged him, "He hee! I don't have to fear losing you." She said happily as she thought about his immortality.
Sky also hugged her, but in his mind he was currently feeling a lot of emotions.
[ You might not fear, but I do. I fear losing you. I wish I could just lock you up forever, so that I could keep you safe.]
He softly kissed her hair, feeling the warmth from her body.
