Capítulo 60: Don't treat me like a little girl 60

After last night I was feeling more comfortable with Ax. I had never slept so good.
My ankle was just a little sore today so I decided to go work.
After eating breakfast and Ax telling Daisy we would be back around noon to eat lunch we left.
I followed him to a large office. This room was probably the kings study when Grey Castle had a King.
"Today we need to visit these 12 prisoners. This note book has their basic info from their files. See these ones, I've already seen and I made notes. This one I can push easily. This one I need to yell the command in my mind to get her to obey. These three I'm trying for a release. As we visit these others I want you to make notes. Don't speak to the prisoners. No matter what."
"Ok" This job seemed easy so far.
I follow him down to the dungeon and he stops to talk to gaurds on duty. There are two of them.
We then go to the last cell, passing a lot of scary looking men, I keep my head down.
"There is a diagram on the front page of the dungeon and who is in what cell. Who is here? "
"This is Glen," I then turn to his page. "He is in for the murder of 10 people."
I see him stare at the man. The man sits and folds his arms. Then stands and turns around. I am puzzled.
"He is pushed easily." Ax tells me so I write it down now I know why he was doing the things he did.
Ax talks to the guy about why he was in jail and the man was scary. As we walked to the next cell he said, "That one will be a lifer."
"This next one is Alan, he is in for stealing."
Again he made the man sit and stand and I recorded it. He talked to him and the man went to jail for stealing a pig. He said it was to feed his family. He seemed really sorry for what he did but said he would do it again if it comes to his family eating or starving. He had been here only a year and he was worried for his family.
"Mark him as a possible parole."
The next two were just like the first, mean and ugly.
The fifth on was Claude he was in for sexual assault. This name sounded familiar then my blood ran cold. I became dizzy and hit the floor. When I woke up I was in Ax's room with a cool rag on my head.
"Your awake, what happened was your ankle in to much pain?" he asked.
I paused, should I tell him or not but I decided to be honest.
"No, my ankle is fine." I say.
"Then why did you pass out?"
"Remember what I told you about what happened when I was 14. The man that did that to me is Claude. After remembering it last night and seeing him today was just to much."
I watch him get up and walk over to the window. "You sure it is him?"
"Yes, Are you mad at me now?" I was now scared that I just started to trust him and he would leave me now.
He walked back over and pulled me into his arms. "I can never hate you. I am torn between killing the man and my duty to the king. I really want to hurt him for doing that to you."
"I'm ok now. Can we go back to work now?" I asked.
"Sure, But you can rest if you want. At least until after your appointment with the tailor at 1. Then we can continue together." He said.
"Please don't treat me like a little girl. I'm ok now to help you." I said.
I could see the concern in his face but he agreed. We went back down in the dungeon. This time I stay behind Ax while he talked to
Claude. I am still a little shakey but I hold it together. I pay no attention to what they are talking about. When he pulled me away he said, "He is easily pushed. No remorse so a lifer. Who is next?"
I look in the book, Frank, he is in for murder and theft. He killed a guard when he first got here." I say.
I watched as he stood there, then the man did nothing. Ax then placed his fingers on his temples and squinted his eyes. The man still did not move. He then talked to the guy but he refused to talk back and just spit at Ax. As we walked away he yelled out, "Your little sissy boy can come see me anytime. I'll show him a good time."
Ax grabs me and pulls me into and embrace and walks me away. I can feel his anger. When we get to the guards he says. "Just the basics for Frank. Cut his meals down to once a day for the next month. Never open his cage. I can not control him if he gets loose."
"Come on let's go eat lunch and rest. Are you alright?" He asked
"Yes, Thank you." We head back to our quarters. Daisy has the food on the table but she is not here. As we start to eat she shows up with Jake in her arms.
'Your back, Ax do you want me to change the bed linens?' She asked sitting her pug down to a bowl of stew.
"Thank you, that would be nice." He said.
We ate and as she was cleaning the dishes a old man came in. He measured my arms, waist, and legs. It felt weird to have someone touch me like this.
"Ok you said you wanted five shirts and trousers." He said.
"Also a nice suit with jacket. Also some night shirts, undergarments and a light weight jacket rain." Ax said.
"That's to much." I said.
"With it being summer you need cloths so you can stay healthy and clean. The suit is for if we need to meet with officials. I have my uniform, you are not part of the military so you need a suit." He says.
"Alright." I said
"Ready to go back to work?" He asked.
I nodded yes and followed him back to his office.
