Capítulo 23: A Needle in a haystack [Max]
My men surched all night and all the next day. Where can they have gone to.
"We need to take a break?" Robert says.
"No we must find her." I yell back.
"Max stop. You need sleep you have been up way to long. Take a few hour and clear your head. We will find her and when we do she will need you clear headed." Robert held onto my arm.
I knew he was right. " Ok just an hour."
I lay under a tree and Robert makes a fire.
I dream of my love. She is laying on the ground. I can tell she is cold. There is a stream running close to her. I can see Mt. Clearview from were she lay. I try calling to her but my voice won't work why? This is a dream... no a vision. Then I hear a small voice 'Daddy we need you. Mother is trying to hang on but can't last please save us'
I wake up with a jolt. "We have to go now I know were she is."
I take off on a run to the stream and start following towards the mountain. Then I see the small fire ahead. Robert and Adam are right behind me.
"Elizabeth wake up." I yell.
As I get to her I fall next to her and scope her up. "Wake up my love... wake up!"
There is no movement. Adam hands me a blanket and I carry her back to Grey Castle and the healers. She has to be alright after everything they've been through She has to be all right.
The healers push everyone out of the room as they work on Beth.
"She'll be alright I know." Adam says.
"She is strong. Max please do not give up hope." Robert lays a hand on his shoulder.
"I can't loose them. I will die with out them." I sat slumped in a chair waiting for the door to open.
Six hours later the door opens and both healers comes out.
"She is a fighter. We got her through the tuff part now she just needs to rest. She is awake right now but please let her sleep as soon as possible."
◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇ [Beth]
When I awake the two healers are over me. I am back in a room so someone must of found me.
"Where is Max and Adam?" I asked.
"First off how do you feel?" They ask.
"Tired but I want to see Max and Adam."
"We'll get them but don't exert yourself you must rest."
I shake my head and they both leave the room. Soon Max, Adam, and Robert walk in and I smile.
"Darling how do you feel?" Max asked.
"As I told the healers, Tried. How did you find me?" I asked.
"Our child told me in a vision. She is powerful at such a young age." Max said.
"She will be the next Oracle and your son the next ruler." I smile.
Max looks shocked.
"You mean I am going to have a niece and a nephew to spoil" Adam says.
"Yes, Is that alright?" I look at Max.
He leans over and kissed me, "Yes that is alright with me. Twins I can't believe it."
"Will leave you two to rest." Robert says pulling Adam from the room.
Max takes off his heavy cloths and climbs into bed and pulls me close.
"Your Uncle has been executed and we will find Saundra and deal with her." He says.
"No" I say.
"What do you mean no, we can't let her get away with this." I can feel his anger.
"She is dead. I had to do it to save our children. I only had enough power for one try so I made her jump off a cliff. I'm sorry." A tear rolls down my cheek at the memory.
"Don't cry, she is not worth it. You did good."
It did not take long for both of us to fall asleep.
I wake up the next morning. Still tired but I know I need to eat. Laying beside me was Adam holding my hand. Max and Robert were gone.
"Adam wake up." I say.
Adam stirs and opens his eyes then that big goofy grin spreads across his face.
"Morning sister." He says.
"Morning brother. Did you know we have an older sister?" I smile.
"We do?"
I explain about the lady in red that I met in the between world and how she was our older sister our grandfather had killed before she was born. And how my daughter has her powers now.
As we were talking a maid brought in some oatmeal for me to eat.
"Where are the other two?" I ask.
"Robert is cooking and Max is making sure everything is set up so we can head home." Adam said.
I finished off my food and my eyes started to droop again and soon I was asleep once more.
I could still feel Adam laying next to me holding my hand as I drifted off.

"Everything looks good. I will entrust you with running this prison and taking care of the prisoners." I tell the General I am leaving in charge.
I hope to leave here very soon and take Elizabeth back and marry her. My heart skips a beat thinking about making her my wife.
I turn to head upstairs when Robert comes out of the kitchen, "Max can we go home now please."
"Yes get three horses ready." I tell him.
"Three? whose staying behind don't tell me you are leaving Adam here."
"No he is going home too. Elizabeth will ride with me I won't let her be alone on a horse with my children in her."
Robert laughed and headed out to the stables.
I run up to our room to fine both Adam and Beth asleep still on the bed. The healers said she needed extra sleep to get her strength back.
"Adam wake up" I shake the man.
"Max I'm awake. Is it your turn already?" He says rubbing his eyes.
"Go help your husband with the horse we leave soon for home." I tell him.
"Home to my babies I can't wait I miss the fluffy little things." I laugh as he runs out of the room. I hope he never changes.
I gently help Beth change into heavier cloths and she sleeps right through it. I carry her down to the front of the castle were Adam and Robert are waiting.
I hand Robert my girl and mount my horse and he hands her to me. I still can't believe she did not wake up.
We set out for home and it took less time to get home then going because we had no wagons.
"When you get some time make sure to send supplies back to the Castle" I tell Adam before walking Beth up to our room.
I change her into a light nightgown and cover her up. How can she not wake up?
"Max I'm cold." She says
I pull her close so she gets the heat from my body. I laugh because she is still asleep.
