The earth vanished from Gilgamesh's sight in an instant, and then he found himself in a sea of stars. Gilgamesh had learned about the effect of light pollution, and for the first time, he understood its devastating effects. The sun's light carved out vast swaves of stars from the sight of humans.
Gilgamesh turned to Atalat, "What now?"
Atalat turns to Gilgamesh and shrugs, "We can go anywhere that is the gift of immortality."
Gilgamesh shooked his head at Atalat's carefree attitude, "Shall we flip a coin."
Atalat rolled his eyes, "Just pick a direction and travel it far enough until we find something interesting. The only rule is that you will have to create one prosperous civilization before the end of our journey."
Gilgamesh grunted before flying in a direction. Gilgamesh knew that it would be a long trip, so he decided to start a conversation, "So what is the point of this type of journey."
Atalat took a glance a Gilgamesh, "There is no point but to make the Parthian younglings more universally aware beings. Though if there has to be a point, it is probably to give young Parthians a concept of the power they truly hold in comparison to other civilizations."
Young Parthians require a large number of resources to grow quickly, and forming your civilization was the quickest way for Parthians to grow and mature. The little known fact about Parthians was that they could pull power from creation to replicate matter and its properties. Still, these creations would always be slightly different than the thing that was already in existence. To truly learn more about nature, observation of actual matter was necessary.
Gilgamesh realized something Parthians could draw energy from many sources but mainly used the power of creation as fuel. In Maven's teaching, Gilgamesh learned that there were energies that relied on the existence of intelligent life. Gilgamesh turned to Atalat, "Does it have something to do with the utilization of the energy of belief." Atalat narrowed his eyes and then smiled, "so Mavine already taught you?"
Atalat had a ponderous look on his face. "as you know, Parthians mainly feed on the energy of creation, but they often require a tie to this world. This tie comes in the form of faith energy. It connects Parthians more closely to this universe and allows them to exact more power upon it. It allows Parthians to do something like creating a tower castle from nothing much easier. It allows for a baptism of sorts. It allows the universe to acknowledge that you are apart of it."
Gilgamesh nodded as if he had already suspected something like this.
"well, then we will head in that direction." Gilgamesh disappeared, and Atalat followed. Gilgamesh and Atalat went at speeds that were not possible without the power of creation, disrupting the laws around them. They warped through space multiple times, passing through star fields, and passing dying stars with little care.
Occasionally they would have to avoid wormholes that suddenly appeared, but they were only slight nuisances for real space-faring civilizations. Gilgamesh's internal clock told him years had passed in his search for intelligent life. He and Atalat continued until they came to a sudden stop.
Two human figures suddenly appeared in the void of space. Their forms shrouded by darkness. They looked into the distance where they saw a gleam. Though they were still millions of miles away, they could see the happenings on the surface, and what they saw came as no surprise. Gilgamesh had finally found the primitive life form that he had been searching for.
Gilgamesh saw what looked like hairless animals. They have huge foreheads and a somewhat humanoid appearance. From what he could see, they had already in the early stages of civilization.
Gilgamesh looked at Atalat, and both nodded. Space seemed to warp around them, and the gleaming planet that had been millions of miles away was suddenly in front of them. Gilgamesh was ready to start his civilization.
It took only a moment for them to arrive on the surface. At their sudden appearance, A primitive life form was startled. Gilgamesh walked forward to the stunned alien being that began genuflecting to him. Gilgamesh touched the life form like Vex had done to him so long ago and spoke in the life forms language, "I'm Gilgamesh of the eternal city. Who are you?"
