Thomas had been the fleet commander for a thousand interstellar years, and he had never faced such a severe threat. Who had thought that one being could single-handedly do this? He disabled their ships within seconds and blew through their powerful shields like they were nothing. Thomas was now marching to fight the Alphas' army.
The goal was to kill as many Alphas as they could and hope that the Parthian wouldn't kill them before they made a dent. The Xuhans stubbornly believed that it was possible to beat Calvis, but the commander wasn't so sure.
Sure Thomas could have stayed away from the battlefield and ordered his soldiers to their deaths but Thomas knew he was not that kind of man. If this were a typical mission where death was uncertain, he would not have come. Thomas is relatively sure he was ordering Xuhans to their certain death.
The Commander walked with his thousands of soldiers in highly weaponized tech suits their footsteps rang on the streets of the pocket world's weapons complex. The commander brought them to the Teleportation station, located in section 3. This teleportation array existed for the movement of troops across a planet. The array was used to quell a rebellion or fight foreign invaders. Needless to say it was not used often; in fact, this was only its fourth use ever.
As the troops lined up orderly in the enormous array, Thomas reflected how unprepared they were for what was to come. If they had been a more warlike race, they would have spent millions of years developing war machines. The Xuhan had not done war against each other for a long time. Occasionally some rebelled against the empire, but they were always quickly squashed.
The Xuhan Empire now was spread far and thin. Their Xuhan homeworld is the only of it's kind in this galaxy. They had sent a subspace signal long ago for the others of their race to congregate in number as that was what gave them strength over the other two elder races. The Empire had answered warships were on their way along with a Million star General.
Thomas had heard the council talking and realized something was wrong. This Parthian smashed through their shields, and yet they were not frantic or panicked as people about to die should be. Perhaps they had a secret weapon useful against Parthians
'If such a weapon exists they better use it soon, or our world will burn first,' thought Thomas before the teleportation array activated and the soldiers disappeared.
