Capítulo 9: Finally the End
Everybody's hype up while waiting in the hall. some are nervous,agitated and giddy. it was the time they've been all waiting for. 10 mins before the ceremony starts but Jacob and Pat were still at the stadium's gate.
"where the hell is she?"
Pat tried calling her phone but it only rings.
"hey kid,have you talk to her this morning?"
"Yeah i did,but she told she's getting ready so she just cut the call off".
"don't tell me she's still fixing herself?there's only less than 10 mins left!"
just then, a yellow cab stop in front of them. a girl on a pastel pink lacy dress came out. her beige heels are 3 inch high. Her natural curly hair was down. and her face,her perfectly sculpted face are much more feminine with a light make up on it. as she come closer to the two guys,they can smell her grape perfume,which is her favorite.
"im sorry it took me a while to fix my self"
they couldn't utter a single word. they just stared at her. the dress hug her waist and it shows her curves. the flowy end are 1 inch high above the knee that expose her beautiful legs. Lei was a beauty but she never wore those things. she goes for a baggy tshirt and pants. usually,the curly edges of her hair were kept in a pony because she hates them, but now she's flaunting it. Lei look beautiful she could beat those popular dumb barbies in the campus.
"uh...this is so awkward. i'm sorry okay? i don't have a glam team like those rich girls. i probably look like a potato"
"No!"
they answered in chorus. they stare at each other then cleared their throat.
"i think we should go"

The ceremony started. Lei was called to recieve her medal. She was the second to the highest honor of her batch. Next to Ema actually. She stand behind the pulpit to give her speech.
"Ehem...uh...yeah,Hi?"
The students laugh at her.
"Well um... to be very honest,i wasn't ready for this. I was um...i recieved the notice a week before the graduation. they asked me to write my speech and passed it to them. well i did,and now i can't even remember a single letter from it"
The hall was filled with laughter. Lots of people who knew Lei love her. they love her humour,her curses,of course she wouldn't be Lei without the curses.
"it didn't feel real until i was called. who would have thought a piece of shit like me would get a chance to stand here to give a pep talk to y'all"
the teachers and faculty members especially the dean were startled by the curses she spit. if the students love this side of her, the teachers don't.
"as all we know,i curse a lot. i do cheat sometimes. i do things for other people that i shouldn't,but atleast i got a clean record."
The students clap and it became chaotic that the teachers couldn't take it but to cover their faces.
"seriously,i wouldn't have made it here if it wasn't for Ms.Han,not gonna lie but she motivaded me a lot when i felt like the world is collapsing. I just realized,you might be a piece of shit but there's atleast one person or two you can hold on to,but if you got no one, look up to the heavens,you got angels."
Half of the room started bawling. Lei wasn't a good talker,but she's a great person.
"lastly,i wou--"
Lei couldn't finish the sentence. Her eyes got trapped on a blue deep orbs from the far side of the hall. everybody got confused at her halt. Lei was shaking the whole time,she got her eyes fixated on the person with deep blue eyes. Ms.Han walks towards Lei and she carefully tap both of her shoulders.
"Lilein,what's happening?are you alright?"
She wasn't hearing anything. fear crept into her when she saw him smirked. everybody was alarmed by her sudden stop,some thought she's sick,others thought she saw a ghost. What Lei saw was so close to the latter.
Pat couldn't sit still,he climb up the stage and he get Lei out of there.
"Lei,hey. Lilein Lewis!come to your senses!"
Pat shook her shoulders but she kept her glance on the same direction. he followed her stare but saw no one but the parents of the graduates.
"Lei,what's wrong with you?!"
Lei didn't response. a tear escaped from her eyes and Pat began to panicked as he wiped her cheek.
"Lei please tell me what's wrong!what did yoy saw out there?!"
"It's him"
She spoke but Pat didn't get what she means.
"Him?who is 'Him'?!"
"Johnny"
