My palms were sweaty and my stomach was churning in anxiety. As the car wheels turned, my mind played possible scenarios that could happen. My family probably knew already what had happened in the bar.
"Don't think about it too much," Deo turned to me with a smile. "I'll take care of it for you."
"It's just fine," I forced a weak smile. I'm too nervous I couldn't really smile at all. "You don't have to do what Rhion says. He doesn't have any right to order you around at all."
"I have to help any of my friend's friend in need. That's how friendship works," he bared his perfect white teeth again. He seemed to be around Rhion's age.
"Okay. Thanks," I rubbed both my palms together for warmth.
Everything felt too cold.
"Just play along with our little scripted act," he said.
