With the addition of both Tsukiko and Asahi, things became a lot more hectic. On top of the daily things Evelyn had to do, she also had to teach the two on the basics of cleaning and cooking. Though it has only been a short few days, she could not help but become exhausted from dealing with the two. Whether due to the lack of skill or something else entirely, Asahi is okay in learning how to cook but was inept at cleaning. Tsukiko, being the opposite, is good at cleaning but horrendous at cooking. With that being the case, she eventually only taught Tsukiko on how to clean and Asahi on how to cook. With practice, Evelyn believes they will get better eventually.
Though Evelyn was running low on DP just a few days ago, she had hit a lucky streak while doing the spin lotteries over the past few days. She was able to get two golden balls with the 10DP spins, earning herself an item and a thousand DP from those spins. The rest, however, were all white balls. It had seemed as if her luck was offset from the two golden balls she had received as everything else other than the two golden balls were white. The item she had won is an intricate wand. A dark wooden wand with one of the ends adorned with a gemstone cut to match the cylindrical shape of the wand. It is smooth and warm to the touch and it is neither too light or too heavy; its weight perfectly matches Evelyn's taste. The wand's capabilities are also quite good, it allows Evelyn to have greater control and to weave her spells faster than before. With its portability, she has taken a liking to the wand; it reminded her of a certain series of books about wizards and witches back on Earth.
"Lady Evelyn, here is your tea."
While Evelyn was fiddling with her new wand, Asahi was steeping and brewing tea. With a porcelain teacup, he sets it down onto the table. Evelyn takes a sip and becomes impressed with the fast progress that Asahi has had over the past few days. The same had gone for Tsukiko, though there was not really much to clean up around the house since the dungeon could automatically scrap and recycle anything that could be considered trash. Though the abilities had not appeared on their statuses, Evelyn could only continue onwards to see if her experiment would bear fruit. Alice, on the other hand, still had small duties to do but had basically transformed into the dungeon's mascot. Evelyn did not mind her behavior, it had added more colors to her rather monotonous lifestyle inside of the dungeon. It was then Evelyn had received a notice from the system that there were intruders. She tenses up and checking the video feed of the intruders, she sees familiar faces. She then lets out a breath of relief and continues to watch them.
.....
Entering the dungeon, a familiar set of trio waltz their way in. Evelyn remembers them as they were the first three who step foot into her dungeon. The first adventurers who had come to investigate the dungeon, Linda, Leonard, and Dianne have once again made their way back into the dungeon.
"Man, it has been almost a month since we first came to this place hasn't it?"
"It's been over a month, not almost a month."
Linda corrects her brother. This time they had come prepared for the cold. They had worn fairly thick coats padded with fur to keep out the cold. The merchants who sold it to them were confused at first, seeing as how winter was still pretty far off. They had been fairly busy ever since their first visit back from Evelyn's dungeon.
"Never thought that gemstone would've been that rare," Leonard continues. "and being that powerful."
"Yeah, no kidding," Linda said. "Its healing powers are off the charts, even the old granny who placed it in you was surprised."
"I did not expect to be that amazing either."
They had taken a rather important quest after Dianne received the mark from the gemstone. A dangerous monster had been roaming around near the outskirts of the capital. Many eyewitnesses had reported the monster to the guild, and many victims of the beast had already put in requests to put it down. The guild put forward a squad for the sole purpose of its extermination. From the many reports, its appearance and traits closely resembled a C-ranked drake. In the end, they had only sent one B-ranked team and three smaller lower ranked groups to support them. A deviation had occurred and though the drake had been slain, one of the B-ranked members had a severe injury; one of his arms had been bitten off during the fight. Dianne, only wanting to stem the bleeding, quickly roused her gemstone's powers and came to a startling surprise. It did not only stop the bleeding but regenerated the whole severed arm as well. From then on, they were often found being delegated to assisting many would-be dangerous quests and so one month had passed since then.
"I wonder if there's anything else of worth around here?"
Leonard surveys the snowy landscape and narrows his eyes to try and find anything out of place or strange. Within the dream-like scenery, nothing abnormal is witnessed.
"I don't hope to find another one but something amazing would be good," Dianne said. "Since the location and discovery of this dungeon is still unofficial."
"Yeah. we had to ask for permission and luckily they were looking for us to make another trip back."
They had another official business coming back other than to find treasures that are littered throughout this dungeon; to make contact with the person they had met while on their last visit.
"Alright, we should move on and try to see if we can find her again."
At Dianne's words, the two nods their heads. Shifting their rucksack and gear into a more comfortable position, they finally make their way into the center of the dungeon.
