The mining area was full of materials. Yes, that was hard to normal blacksmiths to find materials but it was an easy task for Heiner who possessed the power of God. Although it was a small portion of the real power, the difference between human and the heir of God could be seen clearly. Heiner was able to get materials worth the whole week in hours.
The system defined the grade of materials by level. Crafting with high-level materials was more likely to get a better rate than usual. It also depended on blacksmith skill.
The <God's eyes> skill could detect any useful materials within range. Once they were in his hand, Heiner could see materials' description. All of them said 'a crafting material' with no history, but the last one was different. He got <LV7 Silicon Carbide>, and it had a unique effect on the description.

[LV7 Silicon Carbide]
- A crafting material.
- Slightly increase the quality of crafts.

"So, that's how it works," Heiner muttered.
He was talking about his <Extract> skill. This skill was unlike the magic spell which used mana to activate but stamina. The mages could not casted any spell of they ran out of mana but the skill could do even though stamina was depleted. The stamina could be overused, but it exhausted the body to the point where one could not move. Thanks to his armor's <Replenish> effect to save him from the pain. He restored some of the stamina and decided to take a rest.
Heiner got giant boar meat out of his spatial bracelet and chopped it off for 5 kilograms. He kept that chicken-size beef and put the rest back in the bracelet. It was a good idea to fill his stomach while waiting for stamina. Once the fire was ready, he started to grill. The delicacy aroma spread out after he cooked for a while. Fortunately, he was good at cooking. Otherwise, he would have a harder life. After he finished his food, he slept for hours.
In the cave, there was neither sunshine or moonshine. So, Heiner could not know it was day or night, but he was a pure mind. He extracted materials, cooked meat, ate food, slept well and repeat it again and again. He did not care about Raphael, the useless fool. 'Thought, It will be better if that dude leaves. I feel more secure that way.'
Two days passed. Heiner had collected a lot of materials; bronze ore, copper ore, iron ore, silver ore, Osmium, and Silicon Carbide. He also got some of the precious materials, Mythril. Those ores are basic crafting materials, but he did not know how the difference between them. The system explained less than earlier. It might annoy him or something.
With <God's eyes>, Heiner could see three of material type had a particular effect; Osmium, Silicon Carbide, and Mythril. Osmium increased the durability of crafting items. Silicon Carbide slightly increased the quality of crafts and Mythril increased effects of the end-product by 10-30%. He smirked happily as getting plenty of them.
"Now, it's time to craft. Let's start with basic materials and see how they work."
Then the experiment started, Heiner brought the furnace out of his spatial bracelet and setting nearby area to be his workspace. He put a copper ore in the furnace, waited for a while and got it out to forge. "A shortsword will be enough."

Heiner made a lot of shield and shortswords with various materials and its level. The experiment was simple; using a shortsword to hit the shield and saw what was stronger. For example, the shield made of <LV1 Iron ore>, if it lost to a shortsword that made of <LV2 Copper ore> then <LV2 Copper ore> was stronger than <LV1 Iron ore>.
This experiment took hours to craft. Heiner had to rest five times to finish his research. Who knew how long it passed but he felt like it took him two days to conclude his theory. (1) For the same materials, the higher level was better. (2) Iron ore and bronze ore were in the same league. (3) For the same level, copper ore was efficiency as 50% of iron ore and bronze ore. Then <LV2 Copper ore> could compete with <LV1 Iron ore>. (4) Bronze ore might have secret use as it came from copper and tin.
A young blacksmith smile wildly once his hard work finally showed the result. He felt like getting clever and proud. Now, he was going to make a longsword with the highest level of materials. The <LV5 Iron ore> and <LV7 Silicon Carbide> were in front of him. He took a deep breath and started to craft his masterpiece.
