Capítulo 5: The top ranker
Mike's combat gear is a full black suit like Dishonored's Corvo Attano's outfit but it has the design of a raised first with cracks surrounding it on its back which is to signify Mike's tremble fruit ability
For his face, Mike decided to use the lower part of Kaneki's mask just that the weird metal shaped parts are actually canisters which hold gases mainly Sarin in the left and Mustard in the right
A person shouldn't think that there is a little amount of them since they are in a very small and confined space because Mike compressed quite some gas into the canisters
Soon everyone besides Mike was on the battlefield since Mike's costume takes some time to get into with all the zippers and it's tightness
*Step* *Step* *Step*
Mike is coming out of the tunnel and everyone turned to face him since they wanted to know how Mike's combat gadget looks like
Stepping out of the tunnel Mike's looks are revealed and good God he looks terrifying even hardened criminals would flee at the sight of him in the middle of the night
"Wow, Mike your gadget is awesome! But isn't it a little too scary for it to be used by a hero?" Izuku first spoke up once he saw Mike's outfit and although Mike does look badass and terrifying in it it really isn't suitable for a hero
"I don't need a costume that will warm the hearts of the masses I need a costume that will strike fear into every villain's heart." Mike colly responded but the voice didn't sound like his normal one it sounded higher pitched well that's because the gadget has inbuilt voice modification which was personally requested by Mike
Hearing Mikes response everybody was quiet even the usually loud All Might at this moment Mike seemed more like a true hero than any one of them, ready to sacrifice himself for the masses
"Well you are correct but what is that symbol on your back?" Suddenly Ochako came from behind Mike and questioned him about the symbol on Mike's back
"Well, that is my hero symbol. By using it I can calm the masses when mass hysteria occurs." That is the truth of course but it has more to do with Mike honoring Whitebeard as a legendary pirate and Mike expressing his thankfulness for the tremble fruit than Mike deciding on it being his hero symbol
"Well enough about outfits! An outfit doesn't make a hero nor is it the most important part of a hero! What is important is what's inside of here!" All Might yelled out while pointing with his thumb towards his heart
"Now it is time for the Foundational training which is an indoor battle! Statistically, most villains versus hero battles are going on indoors. So you will split into 2 man teams and one will be the hero while the other is the Villan! Remember this time you are not fighting robots you can smash all you want." All Might again yell out but it proved to be his downfall as soon he was bombarded by questions from logical ones like "How are the teams gonna be picked" too idiotic ones like "Doesn't this cape look killer in me?" and you could guess who asked those questions
"The test is simple. One side is the villains that have a nuclear bomb ready to detonate and if they protect the bomb until the timer runs out or they defeat the heroes they win. The heroes have to touch the bomb to 'deactivate' it or they have to beat the villains to win. We will be drawing the teams via a lottery." All Might explained the rules thankfully not yelling this time but talking like a normal person
But he was yet again bombarded by questions but they were mostly from Iida this time and Izuku answered them so All Might really didn't have to do much
Soon the lots were drawn and since there are 21 students in class 1-A this time they decide to place Mike in a 3 man team so Mike ended up with Tooru Hagakure (invisible girl) and Mashiro Ojiro (tail guy) so Mike is probably going to face Shooto Todoroki
Since the lots were drawn it is time for the battles to begin and like in the manga and anime the first fight was Izuku and Ochako as heroes against Bakugo and Iida as villains
Mike and the rest moved to the observation rooms where they observed everything that was going on, they saw Bakugo and Izuku fight, Ochako and Iida battle and how Izuku outsmarted Bakugo while Ochako touched the bomb
On another note, Bakugo was so pissed Mike could feel his fury across the monitor, Bakugo is indeed a perfect villain and Iida is really impressive the floor he cleaned Mike could see how it sparkled and Mike could even see Ochako's and Iida's reflection in it Iida would be a perfect butler
After an intense battle in whereby the heroes won Iida, Izuku, Bakugo, and Ochako gathered in the monitor room accompanying everyone else
"The best one here of all is young Iida! Does someone know why?" All Might gave another one of his enthusiastic shouts while asking a question mostly to the smart students in the class
Mike and Yaoyorozu Momo lifted their hands up and started speaking the exact same words it looked very uncanny at how much in the sink they were
"Ohh yes you got that correct although young Iida might have been a little stiff." All Might sweatdropped but still raised his thumb up and congratulated Mike and Momo but neither was paying attention to him
"Hi, I'm Mike nice to meet you. It seems we have pretty similar opinions huh?" Mike was the first one to introduce himself towards Momo via some nice words and a bright smile
"Yes, that is indeed so. I am Yaoyorozu Momo and it seems you are a very intelligent person so can you tell me what is the main thing you focus on?" Momo was very impressed with Mike's speech which was like her own and he seemed a very intelligent individual let's not mention that Mike is the top student
"I mainly deal with chemistry, medicine, and anatomy since that can help strengthen my quirk. How about you Momo?" Mike already knew Momo mostly studied chemistry, the structures of molecules and atoms and the composition of items to strengthen her quirk Creation
"Oh, really I mostly focus on chemistry, the structures of molecules and atoms and the composition of items. We should talk to each other more often so that we can exchange our knowledge." Seeking that Mike's quirk is also powered by his knowledge Momo wanted to see the depth of his knowledge she can maybe even learn something new besides that she is happy that there is someone like her who has to be knowledgeable to use their quirk to its full effect
"Sure." So began the exchange between intellectuals while Mineta was burning with jealousy
"Ehem I'm sorry to interrupt your exchange but it is time for Mike to go. Mike your team are the villains while Shouto Todoroki and Mezou Shouji are the heroes." Seeing their exchange All Might was a little dumbfounded but he then remembered it is time for Mike to fight
"Oh, I'm sorry to keep you waiting. Momo let's see each other again to exchange more knowledge now I have to go." Seeing that he is accidentally creating a stop in the exams Mike apologized first and then went over to his teammates while day goodbye to Momo
"Yes, I would gladly do that." Momo was really impressed with Mike's chemistry knowledge and she would gladly meet him again for more exchanges as even from this small exchange she learned something new
Arriving in the building where the bomb is Mike's team is given 5 minutes to do anything they want
"So what's the plan?" Ojiro spoke up first and although it seemed like he was asking to formulate a plan he was actually asking Mike since Mike is the top-ranked student and he is incredibly smart
"Well I really don't want to say this but you can't do anything against Todoroki. He has the power to create and manipulate ice so he will probably freeze the whole building so you can't do anything. I can beat him alone if my plan goes right but the 2 of you won't be of much use against him so I recommend you to fight Shouji instead." Mike gave them his honest and blunt opinion and they were offended at first but once they heard about Todoroki's ability they agreed that they can't do anything
"Well, we will then have to trust you," Tooru said while taking off her gloves and boots or rather she is getting serious and by serious she means naked
"Well, then I will be going ahead and laying traps on the way." Mike decided to be the perfect villain and so he went to each floor, stabbed a hole in the wall with his shigan then he placed compressed knock out gas inside before sealing it once again
Mike made at least 10 holes on each floor while filling each with enough pressured gas that it is like a mini grenade
In the monitor room, most people were stunned at the implications of his ability well besides Izuku, Momo, and All Might but even they were a little surprised
'I see so he can also use his ability this way. It is indeed a good strategy to place traps like these.' Momo got into a thinking pose and thought about what she knew about Mike and his quirk
'Young Mike is a clever one getting right into the villain's role.' All Might was impressed with Mike's creativity and his ability to get into the role of being a villain
'Wow, Mike's quirk is so awesome and versatile.' Izuku thought as he watched what Mike did
Soon the 5 minutes were over and Mike was sitting next to the bomb in a crosslegged style
Soon he felt a wave of cold air and he was instantly frozen from top to bottom and Todoroki came thru the door
'Wow, that recommended freshman is so powerful he even defeated the top student in seconds.' Was everyone thoughts in the monitor room beside All Might and Izuku they knew that Mike had something planned he wasn't this weak
Todoroki then went over to the bomb and wanted to touch it but before that, he looked over to the frozen Mike and he noticed something Mike was grinning while frozen
'I have a bad feeling about this.' Todoroki seeing Mike had a bad feeling but decided to dismiss it and went over to touch the bomb
But just then the ice on Mike shattered and he sprung forward towards Todoroki who saw this with eyes wide in surprise but he still created an ice wall to shield him
The ice wall was strong but against Mikes strength, it was brittle like glass and Mike just punched thru it
At that moment loud bangs could be heard as all the gas in the walls was let out with some difficulty because of the ice covering the walls but it still got out
The purple gas started to spread everywhere and soon Ojiro, Tooru, and Shouji were knocked out but Todoroki reacted fast enough and made an ice dome around himself not letting the gas in
'Che what a troublesome ability.' Todoroki never would have thought that Mike would break out of his ice and attack him at such speed even more unexpected was that he had such strength
Todoroki waited but he soon became dizzy and lightheaded, he began stumbling and the world seemed to spin in his eyes
'What is go-' Before he could even finish his thoughts Todoroki was unconscious and his ice was broken by Mikes fist who then preceded to wrap Todoroki and Shouji in the capture tape that signifies that they have been captured
In the monitor room as the gas had disappeared everybody saw a shocking sight
It was Mike sitting on the unconscious and captured Todoroki and Shouji while beside him are and unconscious Ojiro and Tooru
"I guess I make a pretty good villain huh?" Mike commented out loud for everyone to hear and they all agreed with him
"Well I guess we underestimated the top student too much," Eijirou commented and everyone agreed with him they indeed underestimated Mike too much
The rest of the battles soon passed and it was time for normal class so everyone changed out of their combat gadgets and they went to class where everyone pestered Mike about his quirk and abilities but that does have it's upsides
Mike was able to talk to everyone and especially Momo with whom he exchanged more knowledge
At All Might's side, he was currently talking about Izuku's condition and what All Might should do to help Izuku more
"How are Todoroki, Ojiro, Shouji, and Tooru?" Only after talking about Izuku with Recovery girl did All Might remember that there were some unconscious people from Mike's battle as well
"They are all fine they are just unconscious but there is a difference between them. Ojiro, Shouji, and Tooru are unconscious from inhaling the gas while Todoroki is unconscious because of a lack of oxygen. I must admit that kids power is very scary, I'm glad he is on our side. Oh yes, you what is his quirk by the way? When he gave the costume list he didn't write down a quirk he just wrote down what he wants to have." Recovery girl was very impressed by Mike's power but she also shuddered at the thought of a villain with such a power
(Author: Mike did write what his quirk is towards UA but the application form for UA and the costume design are different parts so although the higher up people like the principal and All Might know about Mike's power normal teachers don't know about Mike's power. An example would be that everyone knows that Izuku has a quirk just not what quirk.)
"From what I remember Mike boy has 2 quirks. The first he didn't explain but the second is the one he mostly uses. He is able to produce, become and manipulate any gas he wants. His smarts cupeled with his strong body he got from physical training made the ability very terrifying but it does have a weakness. Mike can't go into seawater if he does he will lose all his powers and sink like a hammer to the bottom where he can breathe thanks to his quirk but he would die from dehydration or starve to death." All Might remember the talk Izuku had with Mike about Mike's quirk well he doesn't remember all but he can remember the most important parts
"That explained it. He must have sucked the oxygen from the air around Todoroki. Truly a terrifying ability. Oh yes, the boy also gave me a note for Todoroki. You might want to check it." Recovery girl now understood it all and shuddered even more at the thought of Mike becoming a villain before remembering that one of the bots gave her a note from Mike to Todoroki
"No, I will respect his privacy so give it to Todoroki." All Might see the piece of paper decided to trust Mike and put the piece of paper next to the unconscious Todoroki
Soon Izuku woke up and got dressed then proceeded to go to class and he was very nervous
Once Izuku arrived in front of the class he opened the door only to be met by the cheering of everyone
"You had a good fight Izuku." Mike walked over to Izuku patted him on his back before departing towards home while Izuku tasted the hell Mike went thru when they asked him many questions about his quirk
Arriving outside Mike jumped and tried to geppo and it worked, then he tried again and he kicked off the air
'Finally, I can geppo.' Seeing that he can now kick the air at will Mike continues to geppo in the air to get used to it until he sees Izuku confessing his love *ahem* the truth about his quirk to Bakugo
But Bakugo being the rotten dipshit he is insulted Izuku and later when All Might came he insults him as well
Mike just watches before going away, this doesn't concern him too much
Getting back to his apartment Mike finds out he is out of food and out of cash that he normally uses since Mike always keeps some cash for the rainy days so Mike decided to go to a bank or rather Mike decided to rob a bank
Mike takes his backpack and goes scouting around everywhere until Mike finds the perfect bank to rob
Over the past year or so Mike has become more than just a hero White Oni and Doctor White he also became the villain/thief Ghost
As Mike needs money for food, clothes and other necessities Mike found out that robing small time shop owners didn't really pay off so he decided to rob banks with his ope no mi
The way he would do it is simple he created a "Room" and teleported his eye to the vault with money where once he saw the money he would shamble some of it with a rock or piece of wood that is inside of his backpack
Of course, that isn't all he would also observe everything so to gain as much information as possible if he needed it
Finishing his observations Mike retracted the "Room" and went to his apartment although today the villain and robber Ghost struck once again
