Capítulo 24: I'm his wife? (3)
"Am I really his wife?" thought Maliya with an agitated look.
She had been thinking otherwise, but the flood of memories are getting clearer and clearer the more she thinks of it. They seem familiar yet so foreign, but still she knows deep within that it's her own.
She had been combing her hair for half an hour already, this is after she dragged herself into changing to her bedtime clothes after feeling the warmth given to her by Tadeo's gesture of kissing her forehead.. .
The kiss made her feel as if soft feathers are brushing through her heart, but at the same time, she felt a strange ache within her.
"Is it worth it to stay here?" she blurted out unknowingly, not knowing that Tadeo is actually listening through his door.
Tadeo infact did not leave immediately. He was also standing outside her door for a long time already, hearing every murmur coming from Maliya.
He really does not want to leave Maliya's chamber. What he wants to do is to claim her! Or even just embrace her as long as he wants, embrace her until he finally be able to feel like every longing he has for her had already subside.
But life is indeed cruel. Everything one wants can't be gotten just that easy. He left and went to his room but did not sleep.
He wrote in his journal instead.
And committed on doing everything for the lady in the other room.
