Capítulo 25: You had your reasons for doing it.
Both of them reached their class separately and no one noticed Elsa's red face and Ray's huge smile. As the day resumed, they continued their hide and seek, blushing game.
As the saying goes, the first few months in a relationship is bliss.
Days went by, as they got more closer. They started to bunk some hours to spend together either outside college for some drinks or inside college premises.
When they got their test marks, Elsa was happy that Ray got high marks in all subjects. But when she saw her marks, she got some low marks and was shocked at first but when she went through her paper, she saw that she made some silly mistakes due to lack of focus which lead to wrong answers.
She wanted to skip the next hour as her mind was sure that she wouldn't focus on it and was on the verge of tears. She took some money out of her wallet and left the classroom quietly.Elsa wanted some alone time to calm down so she decided to drink her favourite drink - Chocolate milkshake at the shop she usually go to.
As she was about to descend the stairs, she felt her arm being pulled backwards. She stumbled a little but the grip on her arm made her regain her balance. She felt her back being against a solid chest, she turned around to see Ray panting a little.
He asked," Where are you going?"
while taking huge puffs of air from the running he took to reach her.
"I wanted a drink, so i thought of skipping class. " Elsa smiled a little as she didn't want him to worry.
Ray saw her sad smile and knew that she was hiding her feelings inside. He sighed ,"Don't bottle it up. "
Elsa cracked on hearing this, she was happy that Ray came for her and cared for her feelings. She burst into tears as she couldn't hold it in any longer.
Ray was helpless as he saw some students turning to look their way. He hugged her slightly to cover her from others and kept patting her head .
After few minutes,Elsa stopped crying and that's when she realised that he was hugging her inside college.She hurriedly let go of him and looked around.
Ray saw her looking around and said, "Don't worry.. No one noticed."
And sure no one noticed as they were behind a wall.. and only people ascending the stairs would notice them.
Elsa was glad and she looked at Ray to find him smiling. She was going to ask him why when she noticed his shirt was wet from her tears. She blushed while Ray laughed.
"So , do you still want to go outside? "
Elsa looked at her watch to find that half an hour was left for the class to finish, so she nodded.
When she was about to go down, she saw Ray coming with her. She looked at him wanting to ask him where he was going when she heard him say , "What? Did you think I was going to let you be alone when you are sad? "
Elsa widened her eyes, but later smiled happily at him. He held her hand and walked in front of her without looking at her. Her heart was pleased at his gesture and silently followed him to the shop.
As they sat down after they ordered, she came to know his favourite flavour, his likes and dislikes a little. Soon, Elsa started laughing and started cracking jokes like usual which made his heart happy.
When they reached college, they didn't feel like going to class so they decided to hang around inside the college. They went to the library as usual but when they reached, they saw that some of their classmates were inside.
Elsa looked at him worriedly and was thinking where else they could go. She snapped out from her thoughts when she heard Ray calling her. When she looked around, she found that Ray was pointing to a vacant corner which was surrounded by bookshelves. There was a window on one side which showed the basketball court.
As soon as Elsa sat by the window side, she was happy as it had a great ambience for reading. Sadly, none of the books present here was her taste. So she just looked out of the window for a little time and imagined reading her favourite fiction book , a coffee on a slightly damp weather.
Ray was observing her for some time and found her smiling one second ,then depressed and then having a satisfied impression on her face.He chuckled at her mood swings and shook his head slightly.
Elsa turned her head towards him curiously when she heard him chuckle. Her expression made him laugh out loud.
He asked," Still remember me? I thought you would be in your world for the entire day."
That's when she noticed that fifteen minutes had passed since they got here and not even once did she talk. She slapped her forehead abashely and apologized. She told him what she was thinking and Ray listened to her patiently.
They decided to bunk the next hour also to spend some time with each other. They kept telling about their dreams, their life before college.That's when Elsa remembered about the important thing she didn't let him know yet.
She didn't want him to hear her past from someone else and she always believed that there's no need to hide her past from anyone especially Ray. She wanted him to know about her past from here even if he gets pissed at her a little.But she absolutely didn't want to hide it as she believed she didn't do any wrong.
She had only mentioned about her ex in some cases when the need was there but she wanted to tell him about her ex before he learned it from anyone. She was sure that he would know a little about her past, but not the whole thing, as most people in college knew it as they were her ex's friends.
Elsa nervously said," Hey... There's this thing I want to tell you but promise me you will listen to it fully before judging me ."
Ray was surprised at the sudden change of topic but said," Sure..I won't judge you anyway.. I'm sure you had your reasons for doing something... So, what is it?"
Elsa was glad at his remark that she said," It's about my past ... About my ex... i want to tell you before you know it from someone else. "
