Capítulo 42: "The old man's will"
Sophia was sitting quitely in her office.
After all the exhausting and heartbreaking incident na nangyari sa kanya sa isla, she felt really tired.
She was no longer crying.
she already vowed herself never to cried over a man again and besides. .
May "kami" ba?

She asked annoyingly to herself.
It there is someone she could blame it was her.
Yong tipong sa katangahan niya imbes na asukar eh asin yong nalagay niya sa kape!!
Walang label eh. .what do you expect? Tanong nya sa sarili.
She was already aware from the very beggining that both of them were just playing games, falling inlove was never in her plans to begin with.
So what if we kissed?

Agghhh. .she sighed in frustration! Pag naaalala niya yong iba pang nangyari sa kanilang dalawa.
Damn you! Pag nakita kita tatadtarin kita ng pinong pino!!
Pero kahit pa siguro gawin nyang sisig ang magaling na lalaki, she could never change the fact that she fell in love with him.
And what really makes everything worst ay kahit nagkadaletsi letsi na't lahat lahat, her grandfather's will still goes on.
"I don't understand, Lo'!"
Anyang inis na inis pa rin sa abuelo.
"Oh. .you don't have to understand, actually. Since ayaw mong makinig then, fine!"
"What is there to listen? The fact na alam mo ang pakay niya but still you consent it. .
"Its because you don't know anything!"
Putol ng matanda sa kanya.
"Yeah. .you folks knows what is best sige kayo na ang may alam. .
"Sophia Elizabeth!"
Don Sebastian snapped imperiously, Naningkit ang mata nito sa galit.
She suddenly keep quite, she clenched her fist tightly to control her anger.
Gaano man niya ka gustong mag wala but she controlled herself infront of her grandfather, mataas ang respito niya dito.
"You are no longer a child and talking to you like this is not even makes sense. .napaka tigas ng ulo mo!"
Anitong tinitigan sya na para bang tinatansya sya nito.
"You've change. . What happened to you nong pinadala kita sa paris? Bakit noong bumalik ka dito, why you've become a totally, different person?"
"People changed, Lo'!"
she defended herself.
"Yes. .but not exactly the way you are!" he snapped. "Gusto mo bang pa imbistigahan pa kita?"
Bigla siyang nagulantang sa sinabi ng abuelo. If her grandfather do as what he just said malamang mawawalan ito ng tiwala sa kanya pag nalaman nito mga pinagagawa niya sa paris.
Not to mention the scandal she had..
She was young and naive back then kaya nga't ayaw na niyang maulit pa ang nangyari sa kanya noon.
But on the other hand if she's not going to react iisipin naman nitong may tinatago sya.
She had no choice but to gamble. .
"Why don't you satisfy your curiousity? then, Go ahead Lo' wala naman kayong tiwala sa akin eh."
May hinanakit niyang sabi but she's a hypocrite kung sasabihin nyang hindi sya nanalangin sa lahat ng santo na sana di nito totohanin ang banta.
"That's not what I mean, hija!"
Malumanay nitong sabi na tila ba nakokonsensya.
Yes!! she thought triumphantly
alam naman nya kung paano paamuhin ang matanda.
"Forget what I said!"

"But still you have to be married, end of this month. .Let it be Edd or whoever! I don't care!"
"What did you say?"
"And let me remind you, Sophia. Kapag walang kasalang mangyayari, I'll make this things clear to you, I will disinherit you and Im going to demote you in our company!"
"That's unfair!"
"Yeah. .you think so? And to add it on, I'm going to make Edd as my successor and you will be working under him!"
"What?" her eyes widened in shocked.
"You can't do this to me,Lo'. .he is a gold digger. .
"Ows? When did you become a judgemental? as far as I know hindi ka namin pinalaki ng ganyan!"
He said while glaring at her.
"And yes I can do whatever I want. .I own that company just incase you forget!"
"Siya narin mismo ang nagsabi sa'yo Lo'!" she argued. "Im just protecting our company. .
"You're protecting our company? To whom?"
Don Sebastian unbelievably asked her.
"And what makes you think that people will approached you just because you have money?"
"That's what other people does. .those,
Con artist, perhaps.!"
Napailing nalang si Don Sebastian sa sinabi ng dalaga, he doesn't know where his granddaughter gets the idea but he would never agree with her.
"There are lots of people in this world, Sophia na may mabuting kalooban, they may be poor now pero as long as they knew how to dream and make those dreams in reality walang impossible.!"
Don Sebastian continued.
"Don't forget that I wasn't born with golds and silver. .I become rich because I strive harder, work harder. You should've considered the people working under you, do you think they aren't good enough?"
"They were different. .You are different, You're a good man!"
The old man suddenly stop when he heard her granddaughter's compliment.
"And so they are. .any men is no less!"
he sighed.
"Why don't you use your connection to dig up something about Edd, bago mo sya husgahan, since ayaw mong makining sa explaination namin!"
"Why should I?"
Mataray nanaman niyang tanong sa matanda. She really thought of murdering Edd, ano kaya pinakain nito sa lolo niya't botong boto ito sa kanya.
"Well, just incase you change your mind!"
itinaas ng matanda ang kamay bilang pagsuko.
"I'll be dying soon, anyway. Just do what you want but I wont change my will Sophia. .everything is all up to you!"
