After landing, he went directly to the company, where he had attended a board meeting before delaying his schedule to visit the hospital. Upon arrival, he overheard Elder Li's decision regarding Li Na.

Elder Li's frown deepened as she met Lu Jianjun's unwavering gaze. She sensed a clash brewing between them.

"Lu Jianjun, now you feel responsible for Li Na? You didn't bother to visit her even once. How can you claim her as your responsibility? This is how you cared for her when she almost died…" Master Lu erupted.

Lu Jianjun stepped closer to Elder Li, his eyes resolute. "You know Li Na is no longer your responsibility but my burden. After all, I paid for her."

Burden? Paid for her? Everyone was stunned, exchanging incredulous glances. The shock rippled through the room, leaving them momentarily speechless.

"Shameless! Lu Jianjun, how dare you say that?" Master Lu fumed, his face turning red with indignation.
