Capítulo 10: The traumatic accident
" I still remember the horror struck day in her life." He began to recollect the past. "It was Sooyoung's birthday. She wore a beautiful dress which was light blue in colour. She was so happy. I could see how cheerful she was. Her parents didn't invite much people, but just my family and Taemin's."
" One doubt kept stinking my brain. Where's Taemin? He should have been there since morning after all it was her birthday. But no. She was so desperate for his presence that she kept asking only one thing. When is he going to come?
She asked poking Jungmyeon who was busy doing something with my brother at first. Like she asked this to every brothers."
'God, Sooyoung stop being a pain for me. It's your birthday and I don't want to shout at you. Taemin will come, he just messaged me that he's stuck in a traffic.' He told her. She wasn't satisfied and went to my brother 'Dasung oppa when will Taemin oppa come?' 'Sooyoung-ah, calm down, why are you so desperate for Taemin? Are you having a crush on him?' He asked her making her startled." Taehyung chuckled remembering her blushing face.
'No, it-it's not that. I'm eager to taste the cake. It looks tasty that's why.' She smiled. Few minutes later she went to Taemin's brother, Jihyun. 'Jihyun oppa, when will Taemin oppa come?' She questioned him.
'Umm.... he should here by now.' He said.
God! Sooyoung, stop your childish act. He's your boyfriend and I know that. He will come just wait. I kept saying in my mind." He looked at charm. "What?! It made me irritated and jealous of that guy." He said as he imagined the charm giving him a poker face.
" It was getting late. Taemin still didn't come. It was around 2o'clock in the afternoon. When Taemin's mom got a call but Sooyoung was the one to attend it.
'It's Taemin oppa.' She shouted.
' Hello oppa, where are you? I'm waiting here since morning for you to arrive --" before she could continue it was cut by a voice. 'Hello, I'm sorry, but is this Taemin's mom?" The voice questioned. It sounded serious. All of us were concentrated on the conversation.
'No, but who are you?' She questioned back.
'Well, are you related with Taemin?' It asked.
'Yes, but can you tell me why are having his phone?' She shouted to the phone.
'Can you come to the city hospital. Taemin is admitted here. He met with an accident and is seriously injured. He has lost a lot of blood. We need a person with blood group A+. Please come fast.' All of us shook.
'Mom, take me to Taemin oppa. I want to see him. I'm having the same blood. Let's go. I don't want oppa to leave me.' She began to cry on her mom." He closed his eyes. "That was day all others came to know about their relationship."
" Soon everyone rushed to the hospital. Dasung hyung donated his blood. Sooyoung and Taemin's mom kept on crying. My mom and her's were trying to soothe them. "Eomma, oppa won't leave me right? He-He promised me that we will live a good life with our kids. He promised me to make me as his queen." She cried more and more.
All except me were shocked to hear the things that happened between her and Taemin. Seeing her my heart clenched. It pained everytime I heard her sob. I couldn't see her like that. Oh, you don't know how much I wished to hug her and coo in her ears that everything's going to be alright." He rubbed his arms.
"Few hours later, the doctor came out. Y/n wiped her tears and ran to him. Behind her, his mom, dad and brother. She caught on to his shirt. 'How is he now doctor?' She asked. The doctor looked down. Her grip on him tightened. 'I'm sorry, but we couldn't save him. We did our best, but he gave up.' 'Noooooooooooooo! This can't happen. It's not true. He won't leave me. He promised me.' She cried. I didnt hold in any longer and ran to her bringing her to my embrace. "It's alright Sooyoung. Taehyung oppa is here for you. Okay." I hugged her tight." A smile appeared on his face feeling the embrace that she gave him.
" That was the first time she didn't resist my hug and hugged me even tighter. 'Oppa, tell me that he didn't leave me. I know no matter what happens you will always tell me the truth.' She muffled in my chest. All of a sudden she pulled herself and walked to the doctor. 'I want to see him now.' She demanded. ' I'm sorry but only his family can see him.' The doctor replied.
'I said I want to see him. I'm his girlfriend. I'm his family too.' She shouted on the top of her voice.
' I'm sorry miss, but before closing his eyes he said no matter what happens I shouldn't allow his girlfriend to see him because that will hurt his soul.' He replied.
'No, it's not true. He is still alive.' She shouted and started crying.
Eventually we had to drag her out of the hospital. She looked like a soulless thing walking. He ruined her birthday and that was his birthday gift for her." Anger flummed in his body but sorrow too.
"That night she stayed in my embrace. She didn't even let me go to the bathroom." He laughed. " That moment I thought she began to love me. But all those indication were wrong. She left me saying nothing. Not even a simple Bye." He wore the charm back.
"I hope that this marriage happens and that she starts to love me too." He smiled at the sky hoping that Taemin would help him.
