Capítulo 23: 23 Kitty Naps While Leo Works
'He is a wise individual. I am glad that he is mine.' "Thank you, Darling." She smiles at him. "I will show you where the moving truck is so that you can move it and start loading everything into the truck. I can pack the light things up, and I won't move anything heavy. I promise you." She walked over to him and kissed his cheek.
"I will trust that you won't lift anything heavy and if it needs to be moved, please just ask me, and I will move it for you." He kisses her on the lips lightly. "Lead the way, my Lady."
She blushes and walks towards the stairs. She leads him down the stairs to the front door, where she opens a drawer and grabs a set of keys, then tosses them to Leo. "Here are the keys." She opens the door and walks outside, and leads him to the hidden truck.
He catches the keys with ease and follows her out to the truck. "I'm surprised at how well hidden this truck really is. It's a real moving truck. Do you want me to drive this all the way to my place?"
"No, you and I will be in a different vehicle." She shakes her head. "Cindy will drive this. We have to take two vehicles. This truck doesn't have tinted windows. I won't be able to keep my powers in check the whole drive. So we don't have much of a choice. Do you think they are watching this place more closely in the day or at night? When do you suggest the best time to leave would be?"
"That is tricky. I would say the night will be more closely watched. I would say noon would be the best time to leave. If you think Cindy can handle this truck, I will trust your judgment." He walks over to the driver's side and gets in. He starts the truck up.
Kitty hops into the passenger's seat. "Okay, then we will leave at the time you said. I would rather do it when you feel that it would be safe." She smiles and does up the seat belt.
Leo drives with a well-practiced skill to the front of the cabin. "I will work on moving the boxes into the truck. Please remember do not move anything heavy. I am here to help you." He unbuckles his seat, reaches over and touches her cheek. "Please, promise me?"
Nuzzling her cheek into his hand, she says, "I promise." She unbuckles her seat and gets out.
'I need to pick out a ring and propose to her. I never want to be separated from her again.' He gets out of the truck and goes to the back, and opens the door. He starts to move the containers of books in and out of the house.
Kitty goes back inside, packs up her clothes and all the light stuff. Then she unpacks the items that had been stored away and sets them up so that it doesn't look like someone just ran away. She went back to the study and shifted things around, and made sure everything was packed up. Kitty walks out and goes up to Leo, who had just come back into the house. "Leo, I am all done with the packing. I also got everything that is needed to be put out where it needs to be. I am going to lay down on the couch. Come wake me up when you're done, okay?" She kisses his cheek.
"Yes, please nap. You've been going non-stop since I arrived. I can finish moving the rest of the boxes. It'll take about an hour to make sure everything is moved into the truck and packed in there properly." He kissed her lips lightly. "Have a good nap."
