My daze and wonder about how I got back at the shed only lasts for a moment, there's something even more important that needs my attention... Power! All this power! I can feel it flowing through my body from the whirlpool just below my belly button, I can feel it flowing through my head from the whirlpool in my head, and I can feel it flowing from the whirlpool in my chest through everything. I don't know what this everything is, but it's great!
I feel the urge to move, and so I move, almost hitting my head on the ceiling after standing up. This isn't because I grew a lot, but the power I normally use to stand up almost drove me into the ceiling now! I joked about this yesterday, what the heck!
After looking around and failing to find Goba I step outside, and stepping outside is the most beautiful thing I've done all my life. I always liked the night sky, but this is over the top, there are so many stars! And I can see everything as well as during the day, it's darker but this doesn't make the world less visible, it's weird but beautiful!
Still failing to find Goba I do the only thing that seems logical to me, let's go find the hare, kill the last blue turtle, get the contract thing over with and show off to Goba!
I grab the scythe that seems to feel really light, no not light, just right. I swing it once to saviour the feel, and it's amazing! With scythe in my hand I run off, to the creek and the forest behind.
Arriving at the creek I look into it, in the shallow and calm waters I see my reflection, something I've never been able to see in the night. But that must be with a reason, cause my dirt blonde hair looks even darker than the night sky and there are sparkles in my eyes, my skin looks whiter too. It must be due to the low level of light.
After washing up and smearing some dirt on me I get my mindset ready. I imagine myself being like the sun, hiding all my presence behind the world, hiding in plain sight. While visualising this I can even feel my own aura creeping back into myself, none of it going out of my body.
And like this I sneak through the forest, I'm feeling strong, confident, and something else, something I'm not familiar with, but I'm really sure that I can take dowm that last blue turtle! After sneaking some more I find the pile of meat with a nest next to it. It looks like quite a bit of meat has disappeared, but there's also some more fresher meat on the top of it, I still wonder how the hare piled it up that high.
I see the hare sleeping in the middle of his nest, a smile creeps on my face, let's pull a prank. My scythe flies through the air and digs down a few centimetres into the ground about a meter away from the hare. I crouch down so only my eyes and hair are above the back of the blade. The hare's eyes twitch slightly as if he's almost waking up from the disturbance, so I begin.
"You're sleeping so soundly, aren't you scared of the Reaper reaping your soul!?"
The hare's eyes shoot open, he looks at me and does something I never expected him to do, he screams like a pig being slaughtered! I stand up holding my belly and I laugh, I laugh hard, it's so funny!
"Hahahaha calm down bunny, it's just me, let's go hunt the last tortoise and let's get bounded. I'm feeling especially great tonight, so let's get going!"
His chest is moving more than I've ever seen it do before, I must have scared it a lot. What a scaredy cat.
"Come on, lead the way to the last target!"
I'm getting quite impatient, it wasn't that scary, get yourself together and start walking already. Even with me pushing him a little he looks scared again, but he regains himself and starts walking.
After a little while I spur him on to walk faster, he was so fast the first time we fought, but now it's only so-so. About half an hour later the hare stops, so I know the target is only a little further.
"You wait here, I'll take it down myself, I'll prove to you that I'd be a great master to have. You won't back out of the deal right?" He finches slightly at my question, and I know he was planning to, but I ignore it as he seems to have come to the realization that backing down now isn't a smart thing to do.
I sneak a bit more forward, following a bbookbbook sound, there I saw a big, blue tortoise, it's shell reaches as high as I am! Its head is not any wider than his long skinny neck. With every step it takes his shell moves slightly forward and back again making the bbookbbook sound. It's a weird thing and it makes me smile, and with this smile comes the urge to make it stop.
With this urge I move before I make up a plan, I'll just take it out, that's my plan! Just before I'm within reach the tortoise notices me, I cut forward anyways. It's a slow tortoise, what can it do?
The tortoise pushes his front legs down and it stands up on its hind legs! My scythe misses its target by a lot, and because I don't know what the tortoise is going to do so I create space between us. The tortoise moves his flat paw forward as if throwing a punch, but it won't be able to reach me, I'm too far away. But because it feels off I still move my staff in between me and the punch, the next moment I'm flying backwards, my arms and chest hurt a lot! What happened? I saw its leg stop and I still flew away! What kind of cheat is that!?
