Capítulo 10: Trainee search I
The ladies of dark rose all start their routines at the crack of dawn, Some take jogs and others take baths but they all eat together. After breakfast, they all scattered and fond something to do while Roka, Lori and myna searched for either Near and Golan. They were fond overseeing the workers in the fields, helping those how were planting and cataloging inventory.
"Good morning, minister Golan, near." Roka calmly said
"Ah, good morning ladies." He replied in a cheerful tone "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, we're used to sleeping outdoors." Roka said "Did you make the list Near?
" Of course." She said searching for the list. After a minute she handed Roka the list of five names.
"Do you know where they would be at this time?" Myna asked
"Maybe, I'll help you find them." She replied
Near greet Golan and lead the ladies around the town. The first name they found was Caitlin, she was crushing grapes and barreling the juice. On a first glance, she looked skinny, almost unfit for field work but the closer we got, the more we understood. Her arms were small yes but the muscles in her arms and even her legs were dense, probably from crushing and moving barrels of grape juice for years.
"Caitlin, these ladies would like to speak to you." Near said looking to grab her attention
She looked up from from her feet but as she saw Roka and the others she averted her eyes from their.
"H..h..how ma..may I h...help?" she said nervously
Roka was about to speak but stopped to think of the right words. They could see that she wasn't comfortable with us and talking to her poorly now, could lead her to being apprehensive with us later.
"Hello Caitlin, I'm Roka and these are my friends Lori and Myna. she said in a calm voice " Can I ask you a question?"
She nodded quickly while looking at her hands.
"Do you love your village?" Roka asked
"Y..yes, very much so." she replied with a little confidence
"Me and my girls are trying to help keep your village safe." she said a bit softer "Would you like to help?"
She stayed silent, just fiddling with her hands.
"You don't have to answer now but if you want to help, you can talk to me, near or any of my girls."
She nodded and went back to her work, not saying anything. Roka left her, knowing from experience that she needed time to think about the offer.
"Do you think she'll come?" Lori asked
"Let's not focus on that right now." Myna replied "We have a few more names to get through, so let's get to it."
Myna was right, the longer that took to find the people, the less time they had to get the training they needed.
"Who's the next name near?" Roka asked picking an apple from a tree
"Um, the next person is....Alexander but he's a bit of a problem." Near replied
Without skipping a beat, a loud "Woooo" came from the middle of the village.
"Want was that?" Lori asked confused "Nobody's reacting to it"
They looked around and Lori was right, everybody in the area batted an eye and continued their work.
"That's what I meant." Near replied "You'll understand when you might him."
They walked towards the sound, with it gradually getting louder and louder until they reached the epicenter. There they found children playing with a young man, he was tall and handsome with a child-like smile.
"Is that the one?" Roka asked
"Yes, that's the one."
They got closer to him and the group of children with Near following slowly behind, making them wonder what his "problem" could be.
"Hello, Are you Alexander." Roka asked
The children stopped playing and gathered behind Alexander, how started walking towards Roka.
"No beautiful, my name is John." he replied
Roka ignored the compliment, more confused by why Near would lie and the man's identity until she said "huh, that's a new one".
"What do you mean?" Lori asked
"This is what I learned from Golan." she explained "His name is Alexander but he has 2, now 3 other personalities, Rand, Toran and now John."
Roka audibility sighed at the prospect of trying to train someone with a problem that severe.
"I almost forgot but if the " Toran" personality ever appears, avoid him at all cost." Near added
"Alright. I can work with this." Roka said "John, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure." he replied
"We came from the capital to train some of the people in this village and you're one of them." Roka said "Would you like to do it?"
He thought about it for a little, pacing up and down before he came back and said "Sure, but you'll have to beat me in a race."

Capítulo 11: Trainee search II
Within minutes of Rako agreeing to the race, the children had ran and gathered everyone they could to see. The villagers cheered for Alexander (John) as he was a spectacle for them and the girls of the dark rose cheered knowing they would get to see Rako perform.
"One lap around the whole village, if you win I'll do what you ask but if I win you'll give me a kiss." He proposed
Most of the people that was there started cheering and laughing at his statement but ignored him and kept on stretching, only focusing on victory.
"Are you both ready to go?" asked one of the children.
The both got into position and nodded, with John dropping his jovial attitude. The crowd grew silent, soaking in the tension until the child shouted "go" starting the race with thunderous screams. They both dashed from the line and bolted towards the first turn, gradually picking up speed with each step.
"He's really fast, keeping up with Rako." Myna said "Do you think she should be worried?"
"She should be fine, his steps are that of an amateur." Lori replied but she was also worried.
The race was started without the knowledge of the whole village, so many people were still working making for great obstacles. Both had different approaches to those obstacles, Rako avoided everything she could by sidestepping everything in her way while John jump and slid past everything he could.
"He's good." Rako thought
With every minute he ran, his running form improved, getting closer to her near perfect form.
"You're really good, you're making that kiss worthwhile." he shouted
She ignored him yet again and prepared for the next turn but before she could make it a small child threw a pebble. Rako saw it and dodged but the one second delay give John the opportunity to take the lead which he capitalized on. The race continued on like that with Rako unable to pass John, ending it with her loss. The crowd swarmed John as soon as he reached the line, shouting and hugging him.
"Rako, are you alright?" Myna asked "What happened?"
"I'm fine, I just tripped at a turn." She replied calmly
She got up and walked through the crowd where John was and kissed him as per the deal.
"I've held up my part of the bet." she said
Before he could say anything the crowd celebrated louder and kiss walked away with her girls in tow.
"Near, I'm sorry but we'll finish this tomorrow." Rako said
"I understand, good day." she replied
Nobody knew if Rako was upset or not, and before anybody could ask she had taken her weapons and gone hunting. She wouldn't be seen until the next morning.
