Capítulo 6: Chapter 6: Training

I was pulled out of my dreams by a sense of danger, my nerves and muscles tensing up at the thought of fighting. I opened my eyes to see three hooded men standing at the foot of the bed. I growled maliciously as I stood up to meet my intruders, I glared at each of them intensely, daring them to move.

They didn't, they just kept staring at me. I was unable to see their face so I couldn't judge by their expression. Even in my confusion I stayed there, tense and more than ready to fight them if needed. A thick, heavy silence fell on the room, neither of us moving a single muscle.

Finally I decided to speak, "Who are you?" I asked, deepening my voice to a more threatening level. They didn't even flinch, I was quickly starting to get annoyed. "Hey are you deaf? I asked you a question!"

"Why would we answer to such an arrogant fool?" They said in unison. As if their voices weren't creepy enough, they had to say it all at once and join in to make one, loud, eerie voice. What the hell is this?!

My pride raged at the insult but my mind kept calm. Even though they are a couple of weirdos who snuck into my room and stared at me while I was sleeping. No matter how creepy and rape vibey that felt, they didn't deserve torture. Ugh, damn my good heart!

That's when I realised something, how did they know how to find me? Unless they were clan members or visited often, they would have gotten lost in this hell of a maze. That gives me even more of a reason not to hurt them. I sighed heavily and sat down on the bed, bringing my feet up and crossing them while laying my head on my arms behind my head.

"So are you gonna tell me who you are and what you're doing in my room, or will you just stand there and keep staring at me like a bunch of perverts?" I asked, looking at all three of them with a calm gaze. This time they moved, in unison they went over to my side of the bed, standing only inches beside me.

That's where they stayed for a couple of minutes until I saw slight movement. I twisted my body and used one hand to spring me up and over the bed to the other side, just then a blade pierced through the spot I was laying in only milliseconds before. I gave them a smirk, "I'll take it as a no for both, then."

Just like that, the action began. The men came at me all at once, one aimed a punch at me to the head, another a kick to the stomach, and the third trying to hold me down. I sighed internally, can't I just have one peaceful day? I dodged all of them, making it so that the guy about to kick my stomach, misses and hit the guy behind me trying to hold me down. I grabbed that forearm of the one trying to punch me, twisting his arm he let out a gutteral scream of pain.

Yeesh, hope I didn't break anything. I was a bit distracted and I could barely just register the fist that was coming at me by the corner of my eye until it was too late. I felt intense pressure and pain go through my ribs, I grunted holding my side. He came in again, greedily looking to land another hit when I grabbed his hand, squeezing it until he started screaming.

"Too predictable." I said deeply annoyed. I swung him around like a damn ragdoll and tossed him to a wall. He made contact with a satisfying crunch and a loud thud as he landed on the floor. I faced the person, whom I'll later realize is the last person left.

He braced himself for the onslaught that was gonna come his way, but I just stopped and waited for his initiative. He stated at me for a second and I kept his gaze, he chuckled lightly before running towards me in blinding speeds. His attacks came right after the other, I dodged and blocked with greater difficulty now. I couldn't help but wonder why his fighting style was so familiar.

Maybe because his speed is the exact copy of Thorn's. . .oh and for the love of-Thorn! He better have a good ass reason for this. I growled in anger and grabbed a hold of his cloak when he went in for another attack. Before he could even move, I tore it off him, revealing. . .oh who would've guessed it, Thorn!

"Tell me a good reason why I shouldn't kick your ever loving ass right now." I said glaring at him. He stayed in silent shock, when he finally recovered he let out a bellowing laugh. I was thoroughly shocked at this, arching my brow at his behaviour I eyed him carefully.

"Well then, ya sure don't play, sweet cheeks!" He bellowed in between laughs. I narrowed my mind at him, part of me thought he had gone insane, while the other thought he was bat shit crazy from the start. He finally quieted down and explained to me his little raid.

Apparently this was just training. . .just simple, harmless, safe training. Almost snapped his neck at that. This has got to be the dumbest thing he's done ever since I met him and he's done some really stupid shit. I didn't say anything to him, but he could tell I was just a simple word away from letting all hell go through my mouth.

Smartest thing he's done, keep quiet when I was on the verge of breaking him. I reeled my anger back in and all but collapsed on the bed in frustration and exhaustion. Even if I know how to fight, my stamina is just terrible, I swear I might have asthma. He sat next to me, looking up and down my body with a worried expression.

"Will you stop that already? You look like a damn puppy."

"Sorry, should've told you about the training. How are your wounds, I know they 'aven't healed completely, must still feel sore."

I sighed again, "Yeah you should've, also yes my wounds are fine and they haven't really bothered me."

He nodded, we stayed in silence until we both heard groans from behind and a couple feet in front. I suddenly remembered about the guys I took down, I saw them slowly stand up, rubbing sore bruised spots. I winced and gave both an apologetic smile when they glanced at me.

"Hey, so what am I gonna do?" He stared at me as if I had grown two heads, "I mean, am I going to stay in the clan or do I stay in my apartment?" I finished, recalling my thoughts from just last night. He thought about this for a while before telling me he was gonna ask Boss Suwa. Just like that, he was gone, leaving me to myself and my thoughts.

Leaving me to think is always a dangerous matter, that is where many battles and struggles happen in a short amount of time. Like war, it's lethal, both sides want nothing but peace, you loose your innocence and a portion of your humanity.

Memories of my past come to me in floods the second I'm alone, The abuse my mother endured with her parents and siblings. How they all looked down on her and called her a mistake, a disappointment, a whore. The last one is seriously messed up. How she got me has no reason for her to be called that, in fact it is the opposite. She didn't want to do it, she was raped and I was unplanned.

No matter what though, she still loved me. She had the most right out of everyone to hate me, but she was one of the very few people apart from my father and his family that ever truly loved me. My mother's family hated her and completely removed her from their lives, and on the time she needed them most.

My father was the only one that stuck up for her at school, comfort her when she was sad, and hold her hand during labor. Even if he isn't my father by blood, he and his family raised me as if I were their own flesh and blood. They spoiled her to death when she had me, doting her and spending time with her. Oh and don't even get me started on mother's day.

I laughed lightly, remembering the loud and energetic parties they would throw at out house. They even stayed behind to clean up after themselves. Their shouts and woops and singing would constantly fill the house with happiness and belonging. What do you expect from Hispanics? They are loud, obnoxious, and most of all loyal, and damn were they disgustingly loyal.

They would go up and beyond to make her happy and forget her family, and they succeeded. There were times when she was out that she encountered her old family, but because she was practically guarded by at least three family members at all times when she was outside, there was nothing for her to worry.

That was the first time they ever saw me, once they saw did they began calling me a bastartd and a demon child. My aunt and uncle along with another male member came around the corner to see my mom's family slap her. Even though I was young, I know that what they did was unforgivable and I got really angry. I couldn't contain my anger and frustration and I began to scream.

Uncle and the other male member came over and stood between my mother and her old family members. I was in front of them, wanting to protect my mom as well. One of them was about to punch uncle but I moved quicker than her and pushed her to the cabinets as hard as I could.

She fell backwards and the cans on the shelf fell on top of her, she screamed pitifully and lunged towards me. My uncle intercepted and had her pinned down while my other family member did the same with the other. That just left with the third that was running away with their tails between their legs.

I wasn't going to let them get away, oh definitely not. I ran towards her, she was only halfway out the aisle when I caught up with her. Using the shelves to spring me up, I wrapped my legs around her neck and threw my body weight to the side while twisting my body. She fell down in a matter of seconds, security cane and we explained everything to them, the women tried to deny it but the CCTV cameras captured the whole ordeal.

My family members praised my fighting skills and asked where I learned them, of coarse I told them that my dad taught me for self defense. My mom was also impressed and said how much of a fast learner I was, I just smiled then not wanting to break the moment.

In reality, deep down I felt like I was being controlled by something. My body moved involuntarily and on instinct, so natural it was weird. It didn't bother Me at the time since I was a kid. Maybe I'll be able to find the answers no—

"Hey sweet cheeks, boss said it was fine for ya to stay at your apartment, just need someone to be your roommate." My thoughts were interrupted by Thorn. I need someone to watch over me? Seriously? Well, it seems like the choice is obvious.

"Alright, then. Thorn pack your shit you're staying with me now." Thorn looked shocked but his face went back to its emotionless state. He nodded and left without a word, well that was odd.

Will I regret this? Most likely, but will this also be a lot of fun? Oh, yes. This was going to get real interesting real quick.
