When it comes to certain tasks, getting into the zone is very important to boost your results. This is one of the reasons why rich people often have personal libraries surrounding their workspace. It happens to be very helpful in getting into the learning/working mentality.
Similar results can also be achieved by going to a library.
There are however alternative at-home methods that have been proven to improve study results for much cheaper. All you need to do is connect the task of choice, such as studying, with a room in your living area or an object. For example, you can pick a lamp to be your dedicated learning lamp, always turn it on when you're learning and always turn it off if you stop. You should also only ever use the lamp for learning, never just as a light source.
You brain will eventually associate learning in combination with turning that lamp on.
