In the depths of the city-dungeon Leon was fighting with beast which was twofold of his size. The monster was looking like an overgrown mantis and was also bleeding from countless scars on its body. Leon wasn't Scot-free either, he had a few wounds on his body but he didn't mind them.
Leon stabbed the mantis which couldn't dodged due to its injuries at its belly. The mantis screeched and tried to cut Leon with its blade like arms but Leon didn't let it do it and dodged. While he was dodging, he did let go the spear and dragged it to sides thus cutting open the wound more. The mantis didn't want to let Leon go and continued to attack him but Leon didn't want to drag this battle more and he pulled the spear and stabbed it to its neck hence cutting it off.
After the team decided to stay in the dungeon for six months, Leon was constantly battling with monsters and he could say that he was matured in this dungeon. His mindset changed as he battled, he did killed monsters because he could make his soul artifact more powerful and he could get rewards for it. In the world which one can be powerful than a nation means the powerful ones who decides what was good or bad. As Leon was killing for growth of his soul artifact, other humans could also kill someone to get their treasures.
Leon desired to become an immortal but while he was on this road that didn't make him a carefree person and far from mundane affairs. He could also be targeted by anyone who wanted him dead by any reasons, that could because of his treasures, his standing or just because he was annoying to someone. While Leon mindset became more suitable for this world and Aroan world, he didn't discard his previous life morality completely but he blended it with his new life. He also got use to battling, at the start of the dungeon, there wasn't any monster that would make him serious but as he advanced, the monsters that he encountered, was stronger than before. When he first wounded, he didn't think that would be hurt so he was surprised then he was felt crisis because he wasn't wounded before.
He got used to get hurt and to kill while he was in the dungeon but his facial expression was always stayed same, like someone who was sleepy with half closed eyes. He didn't changed as outer appearance but he spirit has changed. He could also feel that his sea consciousness was congealing as he started shape his mindset but it doesn't seem like he would condense his soul embryo.
It wasn't just his soul cultivation progressed, his titan cultivation also progressed. He didn't breakthrough the yin-yang stage but he was at the peak just shy from perfection.
"It's finished."
Leon said after killing the monster and Theo and the others showed up with Hermes following. Leon didn't let Hermes to join his battles because he was too young for that at least he wouldn't let him fight with the monsters at this level.
"You got used to your new spear but you are still getting wounded." said Theo.
Leon's previous spear wasn't a good weapon, it didn't have an endurance to show Leon's real power. Leon got lucky and got a new spear from a chest. It wasn't best spear but it was enough for him at the moment.
"My wounds wouldn't take too much time to heal."
"Are you planning to finish this dungeon?" asked Theo and Leon nodded as response. Theo was watching Leon's fight for a month and he could clearly guest that Leon was planning to conquer this dungeon. The dungeons was made of hundred as a base, so either they had hundred bosses or they had hundred floors. Anyone who was connected to system would know that.
Leon didn't know what was the hundredth boss but he was curious and he wanted get the chest he guarded. Leon was also thinking about other dungeons, he wanted clear every dungeon so he could get the resource for his body tempering. He got a lot of resources with different attributes but he didn't get any spear which satisfied him.
Leon was a titan so he could change his body size, it wasn't really a size change but releasing the real entity. Leon's real height was fifteen meters at the moment and he could grow further as he tempered his body, so he wanted a spear that could change its size with him.
There were all sorts of magical weapons but the one which could satisfied Leon couldn't be found laying around somewhere. He had to specifically order to forged it, Leon heard from Theo that dwarves were the best blacksmiths that someone could find. It was very stereotypical but dwarves had affinity with earth and fire as a race and they didn't let their gift to rust thus they were specialized on blacksmithing.
Leon wasn't going to find the dwarves at the moment but he wanted to clear dungeons and finish his body tempering. There was only one boss remained at this dungeon, after killing it Leon was planning to company Theo to support him while he was competing for the next marquis position. Later he wanted go dungeon clearing spree.
Leon didn't say much but he walked to the chest and looked what was inside. When he opened the chest Leon saw fig shaped glossy gray fruit and couple of equipments. The equipments didn't have any allure for Leon but it was different for the fruit. Leon knew that fruit, it was called gleaming night fig and it was one of the fruits that had yin-yang equilibrium so with it Leon could finish his body tempering. The hundredth boss wasn't going anywhere so Leon could finish his tempering first then clear the dungeon.
"We need to get to the safe zone, I'm going to train a bit."
The rest nodded, Leon had occasionally stopped advancing and trained as they came here. As they were leaving, Leon saw that Hermes wasn't moving but looking at the corpse of the mantis. Leon furrowed his brows
"Hermes, it was venomous, I don't think you would be okay after eating it." Hearing that Hermes dropped his head. He was used to eat high grade magical beasts and he specially liked to eat the bosses that had more mana in their body. Leon knew that Hermes could grow faster and be stronger with eating powerful magical beast so he gave nearly all of their meat to Hermes.
After advancing a bit, the group arrived at the safe zone. Leon didn't waste time and sat down as the others was pitching their tents. Leon looked at the fruit on his hands and started to eat it. Leon didn't feel anything after he ate but he wasn't disappointed because he knew that it would take time for it to show its effects. While he was waiting for fruit to kick in, he planted the seeds of it in the portable garden.
When the fruit kicked in, Leon felt he was pulled in different directions at the same time. It was like his body was rejecting itself, he knew that he was about to breakthrough to perfection of Yin-Yang stage. He guided the energy in him as in the inheritance. When he did that, he felt that the rejection was lessening. He also inspecting his mana pool. In his mana pool the yang and yin essence were rotating and sending wisps of essences to each other to make Yin-Yang diagram.
He didn't know how much time passed while he was guiding the energy inside of him but when he opened his eyes he felt he grow stronger and the rest of the team were sleeping. When he looked around he saw that they pitched a tent for him. Leon entered the tent but he didn't feel sleepy at all so he thought it would be best if he were to refine the portable garden as he had the yin and yang in his mana pool.
