Capítulo 20: The Bottle
Your meditation is interrupted by a blood-curdling scream coming from your parent's room. You get up to see what going on but the backlash for having your meditation interrupted cause you to double over in pain.
"What the hell was that?"
You grab onto your bed and pull yourself up as you stumble to the pills on your dresser.
When you get there you swiftly pop two into your mouth.
You immediately start feeling the effects of the pills as you walk over to your parent's room using the wall as support.
"It'll take a while to work since it's not a potion but it should numb the pain for a while."
When you finally make it to the room you see your mom and a man you've never seen before hovering over your father who is clutching his chest.
"Miss, I can't find what could possibly be wrong with him I tested his blood for every poison in the books but the only thing I found in his system was this mana potion but without the container, it came in there is no way I can find out what's wrong with him, the most I can say is that he has about a week to live."
Tears begin to stream down your mother's cheeks as she rests her head on your father's stomach.
"What happened?" You say as you step into the room trying not to look at the sorry state of your father.
Your mom quickly wipes her eyes so fast that it could have been mistaken as a flash of light and turns around with a smile on her face and with a honeyed tone she says "Nothing sweety dads just sick he will be ok you don't have to worry why don't you go back to sleep."
You can tell she's lying but it's not like there is anything you can do about it, You then turn your sights on the man.
He was obviously a doctor he is wearing a white cloak and has the flowing rivers sect's healing symbol on his chest right above his name Dr.Brown. "All sects have a healer's but the flowing river sect's healers specialize in poisons maybe I can get something out of him."
"Excuse me, sir, you mentioned a bottle earlier right?"
He says nothing and continues to write in his book.
"I know where the bottle is," you say as you grab the trash can and start to rummage through It.
"What are you doing get out of the trash!"
You ignore her as you grab the bottle and pull it out of the trash can.
