Capítulo 3: Chapter Two

I felt my heart beat a little faster. My only friend—who I haven't seen in a year—is now my roommate for six years in college. We had so much to catch up on, especially where he was last year.

     Sean's phone went off. "Hello?"

The voice on the other line cut through, speaking incomprehensibly.

"Yeah, sure. Come on over. Meet our roommate." Sean clicked the end button and put his phone back in his pocket. The door behind me—which led to the small lounge area—opened up, startling me a bit. Two men stepped inside.

The first was similar to Mark in physical features—minus the hair and eyes. His hair was completely black and his eyes were two whole shades darker than Mark's; they even had a tint of red in them. He wore black jeans and a black jacket with a band I never heard of before written on it.

The other one was similar to Sean except his corneas were pitch black with one eye green for the pupil. His hair was a dark brown with very little color showing through. He had a similar outfit to the other male, except his jacket had a skull design on the front. I looked back up at his eyes only to see that they changed color. His eyes were pretty much normal, minus the fact that one was green and the other was blue. Strange...

"Dark, Anti, meet (Y/n)," Mark said, motioning towards me.

I gave them a little wave. The one who was similar to Mark all of a sudden appeared next to me. He took my hand and planted a kiss on it.

"Hello, (Y/n). You can call me Dark. Or, if you're ever interested, call me Daddy Darky."

"Umm," I wasn't sure what to say. He came out a little too straight forward. Most likely the lust-type of guy.

The other came up to me from behind. "I'm Anti," he stated in an Irish accent that was similar to Sean's, he curled my hair in his fingers. I felt his warm breathe tickle my neck and left ear, causing a shiver to shoot down my spine.

I coughed. "Space!" I shouted, trying to get them away from me. It was a little too...creepy.

They immediately backed off. Both of them had large grins on their faces, knowing they had made me uncomfortable in some sort of way.

"Oh, sorry, (Y/n). Did we make you uncomfortable?" Anti asked with a wicked smile.

I stared at them in disbelief. "I don't have to answer that."

"That only lets us know that you were," Dark said. "We like girls who try to hide things. Makes things more...fun that way."

I stared at them. Several profanities made their way into my head.

"Oh, looks like someone has some bad words they want to say," Anti said, his grin growing even more.

     What the...? How'd they know?

Figure it out, smart one—

"Ouch," Dark said, rubbing his arm where Anti hit him.

"Anyways, you guys want to head out for lunch? I heard they have this great new place downtown," Sean suggested, trying to push us out of this topic.

"Sure. Why not?" I said with a small smile.

The others gave a small nod before opening the door to head out. However, there was an obstacle. There, in the doorway, stood the one and only Bedelth.

"Hey, (Y/n), you—" She was cut off by the sight of the boys in front of me. "Woah. Who are these hunks in front of me? Are these your assignment for the club? Give them what they want and earn a promotion? If so, tell me where to sign up!"

The guys stared at me, looking for an answer. "She's—" Mark started.

"Well, if I knew she would give us what we want, I would've been stuck in my room all day," Dark said, having dirty thoughts about the topic. I felt myself blush from embarrassment and quickly slapped him.

"Hit me harder. See what happens," Dark said seductively. I quickly pulled my hand back and pushed passed Bedelth, heading towards the elevator as I left the others behind. I quickly pushed the main lobby button just to get out of this suffocating building.

When I step out into the parking lot, I feel a hand on my shoulder. I tensed when I turned around and saw Bedelth.

"Can you hook me up with one of them? I would like to have one of those men in my bed."

"Hell no. I won't set you up with one of my friends. They've done nothing wrong."

Not yet, a voice said in my head that wasn't my own.

I shook my head and stared at her. "I wouldn't let them go out with you even if my life would end. They deserve better than a bitch."

"And they deserve better than a stripper who gives bad blowjobs," Bedelth remarked.

"I've never given anyone a blowjob in my life. For fucking crying out loud, I'm still a virgin!"

Not for long. I'll be the one to take that.

No, I will! I approached her and gave her my appropriate name!

Get the hell out of my head! Who the hell are you anyway?

     Your Daddy.

Fuck off. Learn how to have some damn manners.

Bedelth laughed. "You're still a virgin? Hah! That's right, you've never even had a boyfriend! Speaking of that again, no first kiss either! What a loser." With that, Bedelth sashayed off. I couldn't stand to look at her and her incompetent ass.

Through the windows in the building, I saw Mark and Sean with their mouths slightly agape and Anti glaring profoundly at Dark who was smirking and—most likely—had his head in the gutters.

I knew it was them from the start talking in my head. They kinda gave it away when Anti elbowed Dark.

"So, are we ready to go?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips and shaking off the encounter I just had.

                                 . . .

Once we arrived, we all got out of Mark's car and headed inside the restaurant. We got a booth for five, meaning I was most likely stuck between two people since I was skinnier than the guys.

Mark and Sean sat on one side of the table while I was stuck between Dark and Anti. I kept feeling all of their gazes drift toward me after what happened with Bedelth but then again, that was none of their business.

"So, (Y/n), how have you been?" Mark asked. I let out a sigh, the awkward tension slowly easing away.

"I've been good. How about yourself? You disappeared without a trace."

Mark glanced over at Dark before returning his gaze over to me. "I would rather not talk about it. Have you still kept on playing basketball?"

"Hell, yeah. I'm thinking about playing it here when the time comes. It's super fun and I enjoy it now."

"Really?" Anti asked. "I didn't take you for a basketball kind of girl."

"Looks don't matter," I said.

"You played basketball? We played basketball as well," Dark spoke, motioning between him and Anti on the other side of me.

"You did?" I asked, glancing between the two of them.

"Yeah, they did. Sean and I played for the boys team at Everwood High. Dark and Anti played for the boys team at Neverwood."

"You went to Everwood?" I asked. I never saw Sean in the halls.

"Yeah, remember? I was the silent kid in the back of the room. We had science together with Mr. G," Sean said.

"Oh yeah! I remember that. You were so quiet everyone forgot you were there!"

He chuckled, most likely embarrassed at the memory resurfacing. "I didn't have many friends. Then I joined the basketball team and met Mark at our first game. We weren't able to hang out much together since I was super busy."

"Oh, I see. So you enjoy basketball, too?"

"Yeah, it's pretty great!"

"Maybe when basketball season starts up, we can practice together. It will be a lot of fun!" I said, happy that I finally found something to connect with Sean on.

"Of course. I think we all should practice!" Sean replied, glancing around at the others at the table. They all nodded their heads in agreement.

"Hey, (Y/n), did I tell you that I brought over a PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4? Jack brought a TV as well so we could play video games in our free time," Mark said.

I could've sworn my eyes lit up. "Hells to the yes! I love video games!"

Mark smiled. "Well, it's a good things that we brought them then. Maybe later tonight we can play a game or two."

"Of course we can! Do you have any horror games? Horror is my absolute favorite thing!"

I swore I saw Dark and Anti flash a smile between each other. They were getting ready to do something. I just know it.

"Yeah! I love getting scared!" Mark said before murmuring, "Even though I don't know why I do it to myself."

"Hello, my name's Mike. I'll be your waiter for the day. Can I get you something to drink?" I turned my head and saw that our waiter had jet black hair with green eyes. His gaze flickered over to mine and stayed there for a few seconds before switching to Sean's as he began to speak.

"I'll get a coke, please."

"Root beer," Mark said.

"You guys have any Bloody Mary's?" Dark asked.

"Yeah; the best ones, actually."

"He and I will both have one." Dark motioned at him and Anti.

"And for you, miss?"

"(F/d), please." He nodded his head and walked back towards the kitchen.

"You know him, (Y/n)? He seemed to stare at you for a few," Anti asked, beginning to scoot a little closer to me.

"Nope, not at all."

"Well, I'm afraid this won't be the only time we'll see him," Dark said silently to himself. I glanced over at him and he grinned deviously at me.

Cringing slightly in my mind, I felt someone staring at me. I scanned the room and saw Mike leaning against the counter, watching me.

Creepy.

The four of them watched what I was doing carefully, following my gaze and seeing Mike from afar.

"Perv," Sean said, averting his gaze from Mike and staring at his hands that were placed on the table.

"So, what are you guys having for dinner?" I asked, picking up the menu in front of me.

"I don't know, I'll figure it out when the time comes," Sean said.

"Looks like that won't be long," Anti said.

"Here you guys go," Mike said, placing our drinks down in front of us. "You ready to order?" We all nodded, trying to get out of his presence.

"Give me the surprise," Anti and Dark said at the same time. They act like the worst kind of twins you can find.

"Alright. And for you?" He motioned towards Mark and Sean.

     "Spaghetti is fine," Mark said.

"Give me some potato soup or something," Sean said, disinterested in what was going on.

     "I'll have a salad," I butted in.

"Coming up." Mike walked away, leaving with nothing but a smile on his face.

    Wonder what that's about?

Picking up my drink, I noticed there was something underneath it. Peeling off the papery material, I realized it was part of a napkin with a number written on it.

     Mike's.

Sighing, I wrinkled the thing up and threw it underneath the table.

     "What's wrong?" Mark asked.

"He's trying too hard," I replied. "If he wants to find a way to impress me, he's going to have to try harder than that." I took a sip of my drink. It tasted just a bit...weird. But that doesn't matter! (F/d) is still (f/d), right?

Not less then ten minutes later, our food arrived. I watched as Mike tensed as he placed my salad in front of me. I gave him a small smile as he walked away, leaving me with my food. He smiled back; a very creepy, perverted smile.

We all ate in silence until Dark and Anti started speaking in my head.

Don't you think he's just a bit...too weird? Dark asked.

Yeah, it's creepy, Anti replied.

Tuning them out, I glanced over and saw Mike staring at me. Again. But there was something different this time. Hanging out of his pocket was a silver key—similar to the one I was given this morning for my dorm room. That's when it hit me.

"What's wrong, (Y/n)?" Anti asked, putting his left hand on my thigh beneath the table.

"I remember now. Mike was an old friend of mine. Well, if you can even call him a friend. More like a frenemy. He used to be really thirsty for girls. I can tell he still is to this day. We—"

"Hey, guys! Mind if I join you?"

I lift my head up from eating my salad and saw Bedelth towering over our table. I about choked on my salad.

     "I—" Sean started.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, ready to rip her throat out.

"What? Can't old friends hang out a little bit?" She squeezed next to Jack, squishing Mark against the wall a bit.

"Why? Just why?" I asked. I pushed my salad out of my way. I felt like I was going to vomit.

"Excuse me. I need to use the restroom." I stood up and slipped past Anti when he moved out of the booth for me. I saw Bedelth flash a smile at me when I walked past her and headed to the bathrooms.

When I opened the bathroom door, I checked each of the stalls. Noticing it was empty, I quickly shut and locked the main door behind me. I went over to the mirror above the sink, and stared at my reflection. I couldn't believe this was how my life turned out.

Turning around, I noticed a full-length mirror next to the door. I stared at my reflection there. My (h/l), (h/c) hair rested on my shoulders, framing my pale, (s/t) skin. My navy blue hoodie hung comfortably on my torso. My navy blue jeans had the regular holes in them from when I tripped over Bedelth last year and my black Uggs were dirty near the toe.

I pulled my hair away from my neck, revealing long, deep scars. I sighed and pulled the rest of my hair up when I felt something come up my throat.

Rushing over to a stall, I quickly sat down and puked into the toilet. I had no control over my body as I gripped the toilet seat and emptied the contents of my lunch.

Once I was done, I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Taking shaky breaths, I unlocked the bathroom door and headed towards my table. A wave of nausea hit me like puberty, and I fell down halfway back to my table, blacking out in a matter of minutes.
