Capítulo 53: Charlotte

Charlotte pouted. "I am already being nice to him."

Christopher looked at her. "Really, Charlotte?"

Charlotte's happy and jolly face turned into a sad and lifeless face. "He hates me?"

Christopher sighed. He looked at Kaylee for a while and let go of her hand. He walked toward Charlotte and held both of her shoulders. "Char, look at me."

Charlotte looked at him with teary eyes. "What? He really hates me?"

Christopher poked her forehead. "Silly girl, of course not."

"Then, why did he leave like that? He didn't love me."

Kaylee blinked. 'What is this? Charlotte and Liam? ' She thought to herself.

Christopher tucked her hair behind her ears. "He did, Char."

Charlotte shook her head. "No, he didn't."

Christopher sighed again. "He did. If not, he's not going to tolerate your mood swings."

Charlotte's face lit up. "Really? Are you sure he loves me, not because he sees me as his little sister?"

Christopher blinked and didn't respond. He's not sure what Liam really feels about his sister because Liam doesn't say anything, so he can't give her an answer. He just knew that Liam cared for Charlotte so much. He can't let his sister's hopes up.

Charlotte looked at Kaylee and smiled weakly. "Kaylee."

Kaylee looked at her and smiled. She handed her bag to Christopher and opened her arms to Charlotte. "Come," she said.

Charlotte ran toward her and hugged her as her tears fell from her eyes.

Kaylee caressed her back as she cried into her shoulder.

Christopher's heart ached. Seeing his sister cry was too much for him to handle. He walked toward them and patted Kaylee's head as he caressed Charlotte's shoulder. "Let's go inside."

Charlotte let go of Kaylee and wiped her tears with her hand. She awkwardly laughed and clung her arm to Kaylee's. "Let's go. Mom is waiting inside."

Kaylee let out a sigh. Christopher held her from the back while Charlotte was clinging to her left arm and Christopher was on her right side.

"Where's Mom?" Christopher asked Charlotte.

Charlotte looked at him. "Dining room, she's preparing our lunch."

Christopher nodded.

Charlotte let go of Kaylee's arm and awkwardly looked at them. "I'll be there in a minute. I need to fix myself before Mom kicks my ass."

Kaylee looked at Christopher; he just nodded at Charlotte and then Charlotte went upstairs.

Charlotte is a sweet girl, but a moody one. She wants the attention of the people she cares about. She's always doing crazy stuff to make them notice her more. She's responsible, but a fragile one. The thing she was afraid of was being forgotten by someone she really cared about. That's why she is always bothering everyone around her, just to make sure they never forget about her. That's when she's not around, people will notice that she's not.

She's very close to Christopher, which is why Christopher knows about her feelings toward Liam. Christopher is like a human diary to her. If she likes someone or wants to do something weird, she will always tell Christopher about that. Christopher's opinion is very important to her.

"Be careful," Christopher yelled when Charlotte ran while climbing upstairs.

"Don't worry about me; worry about yourself. You know Mom hated to wait," Charlotte yelled back.

Christopher laughed. "I know right."
