Fleur has a lot of surprises ever since coming to Hogwarts.
Firstly, she had been chosen as the Triwizard tournament. Next, a young boy was chosen as the fourth champion and was expected to contend against her.
And it wasn't even due to his own will, as explained by Madame Maxime.
Apparently, the boy was very adamant on not participating and was only stopped as the only option was death or participation.
At first, she was disdainful. What kind of student didn't want to bring glory to their school? She passed it off from a lack of self confidence.
But when she met him one on one for the first time, she was surprised.
There were not many people who were as intelligent as him.
He knew how to speak French and held himself in a manner as though no one could see him.
He also had a very witty mind and wasn't rash.
Honestly, she didn't know why he didn't want to participate. He seemed to be smart enough to participate. So why?
When he tried to go, Fleur grabbed his arm without thinking.
She just wanted to ask him why he didn't want to participate.
However, it backfired.
"Get your hand off him."
Fleur's hand was forced off of the boy's arm and instantly everything went bad
The girl with red hair was narrowing her eyes towards Fleur with hostility.
"Whatever you are trying to do, don't."
"C'est un malentendu, je ne voulais pas lui faire de mal-"
"I don't speak French. I only know two words, Va-t'en."
"Scarlett, this a misunderstanding-"
"She had hostile intentions coming here and then she tried to stop you when you tried to leave. If that isn't suspicious, then I don't know what is."
She had a very solid point that even Fleur was starting to feel guilty.
"Est-ce qu'on peut se calmer?" Said the fourth champion, but it seemed to have the opposite effect.
All of the Beauxbatons drew their wands towards Arth and Scarlett with murderous expressions.
"C'est saboter notre champion !)
"Quelle honte !"
"Décevant."
The boy slowly raised his hands up.
"Mesdames et Messieurs, ce n'est qu'un malentendu. Cette fille ne voulait pas de mal"
The girl let out a ferocious snarl and her eyes had become like a snake causing Fleur to flinch.
"Arth. . . . Tell them to point their wands away before I show them. . . . How scary an angry snake can be."
Somewhere in her mind, Fleur noticed the name Arth.
So his name is Arth. . .
"Peut-on régler ça comme des gens civilisés ?"
"Tu l'as attaquée en premier."
"Arrête d'être bruyant et excuse toi."
Arthur looked as though he was trying to speak when one of her friends shut him up.
"Ne nous parle pas !"
Then, a spell was fired towardsArth and Fleur was shown the sight of a lifetime.
