After a few weeks of nonstop training and bonding with my new teammates we were finally done with training camp, during that time McGee and I had become quite good friends and complemented each other's games. I was able to set him up with alley-oops and a few good passes. The defense collapsed under my offensive onslaught leaving others open for easy buckets.
McGee was quite surprised that he never had to grab my rebounds after my shots in the beginning. As soon as I shot the ball he would start running back to play defense. The ball would always go in causing everybody to want to be on my team during pick up games. The assistant coach was still hating on me but I just ignored him as the main coach started to adore me but still he didn't want to play rookies that much which showed how small minded he was.
