Capítulo 5: You're Too Talkative

Other than these lands, there are also lands that was not developed, for essences coming from the nature was the best for improving ones strength.

Though at the current stage, people already relied on the essence being extracted by the ones who have this job rather than going to these places themselves.

"Okay, I think that's set," after putting on a make up on her numbers, Astra was ready to go out.

*BLAG*

After locking the door, she placed the keys on her bag without looking up and because of that she ended up bumping into someone who was rushing, ending with her falling down on her butt.

"Ouch."

"I'm so sorry, are you okay?"

'Just how weak is the body of these people? A simple fall and it already hurts this much? Come to think of it...' was her thoughts.

"Miss?"

'Even after coming down, I feel all my muscles were aching. Was that only due to the fact that I became a person of this land?'

"Are you okay miss?"

'Waaahhhh, why did the others enjoy coming down here? Having such frail body.'

"MISS!!"

She felt like her eardrums have popped from the shout.

"What in the hellish world are you doing?"

"Oh so you are fine. That's good, I'm sorry about bumping into you I wasn't looking," the young man in front of her smiled brightly.

He has black hair with deep blue colored eyes.

He also has that bright aura, which gives people the vibe to be at ease when around him.

"Oh by the way..." he then extended his hand to help her up.

Astra could only accept it for this man in front of her was talking nonstop not allowing her to intervene.

'I never thought people of the land could have this aura of attraction.'

If one of her friends were here they would surely say, "People of the land has so many characteristics that not all of us could have. Of course you wouldn't know, that is why we have been going down from time to time. It was suffocating interacting with only us few you know."

"Are you my new neighbor? I've heard that someone is moving in, I am Kaito by the way," he once again smiled brightly and shook her hand that he was still holding.

Astra stared at him for a few seconds before responding.

"Astra."

"You're going somewhere? Want me to tour you? In exchange for bumping unto you," he energetically offered.

Just then a wind blew from the balcony at the end of the corridor. This blew up her hair, in a mild manner, allowing Kaito to see her numbers.

"You're a player? Woah, such coincidence, I too am a player," he then pointed at his right eye where two number eights, the spade and the diamond were visible.

"Are you born with them? The number fours?" he then asked.

That's right, by applying make up, Astra altered the Ace into number Four.

"I am and you?" she replied.

"Nope I was born with Six, it actually took me until I was fourteen to reach Eight and now two years have passed since then but I am still stuck with this number."

"You're weird," she couldn't help but to comment as she started walking away going to the stairs.

"Hey, hey don't call me that when we just met. We are the only neighbors in the last floor after all," he complained as he followed her.

"You're too talkative."

"People say that to me a lot but this is who I am anyway, I don't need to change just to cater other people's needs."

She couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow, her replies were simple why did his answer suddenly became so serious?

"Anyway, where are you going?" he once again asked as they descended the stairs

"To buy a few stuffs, I only moved in, I don't have everything that I needed," since she didn't feel anything bad about this person, she decided to just go along with it.

"Hmmm, how old are you by the way?" he then asked as they reached the ground.

"Sixteen."

"Another coincidence? I am also sixteen this year, though it took me a whole year to convince my parents that I live on my own," he replied as he waved to an old man who was cleaning the ground.

The old man smiled and waved back at him.

"Didn't you just get home?" he asked.

"Oh, I want to accompany my new neighbor. Astra."

The old man looked at her and greeted her with a smile, "Hello there, I hope you can enjoy your stay here."

"Thank you very much. I shall be seeing you often I suppose?" she replied back with enough politeness.

Just as they passed by the old man, "What are you staring at?"

"I just couldn't tell that you were actually such a polite person. The way you shouted hellish a while ago. I thought you were from a gang," he replied with his hands behind his head.

"If anyone would suddenly be shouted at in their ears, I think no one wouldn't lose their temper."

"Really sorry about that, I was calling you over and over again but you just won't respond, I didn't have a choice, did I?" he answered with a laugh seeing her look.

He can tell with this encounter that she is someone who would say whatever it is that was on her mind.

Astra just looked at him before looking back at the road. Since the place was close to the city, just a ten minute train ride could already allow one to enter the center of the city.

Just as she was about to keep going, 'That's right. If I am a new person here, despite reading a map, I should not be able to…'

She looked at Kaito who was just walking beside her, "The train. What ticket should I buy in order to get to the city center?"
