Jia Xu proposed that Fan Chou command the remnants of his unit, numbering about 3,000 men to head north, leaving Luoyang and going toward the harbor on the river boarding a ship and sailing toward Beihai, and from there he headed towards Xiapi faster than the other coalition army.
Lie Fan and Xun You thought for a while, they agree with Jia Xu's plan as this is the only way they can smuggle the treasure to Xiapi. Fan Chou was touched that he was assigned such an important task after just swearing his loyalty, even assigning the remnants of his old unit.
So according to Jia Xu's plan, Fan Chou was assigned to escort the treasure to Xiapi by water, and he was given some supplies for him and his unit. Lie Fan also gave him a token of his position, so that Fan Chou would have an easier time when he entered Xu Province.
Fan Chou after saying goodbye, brings his unit and the treasure wagons leaving Luoyang through the northern gate, Lie Fan then with his army heads towards Luoyang's Eastern gate, where the coalition army should be waiting.
Arriving at Luoyang Eastern Gate, he saw Chen Deng, Xu Kai, and the Orioles waiting for him. Chen Deng then told him about everything that had transpired, Lie Fan nodded his head indicating that he understood.
Since Luoyang is useless now, Lie Fan told Xu Kai to follow him for now, and the rest of the Orioles to return to Xiapi and wait there until further notice.
Xu Kai was happy that he finally be with Lie Fan again, Xu Kai resumed his act as Lie Fan's page. With this, they continued heading towards the Coalition Camp, where they saw the hunters of thousands of soldiers stationed some kilometers away from Luoyang.
Lie Fan told Huang Zhong to station the soldiers and take some rest, while he brought Jia Xu and Xun You with his bodyguards toward the Main tent where when they were close, they heard sounds of shouting.
Lie Fan entered the tent, making everyone turn their heads to see who entered without permission. Seeing that it was Lie Fan, everyone stayed silent for a while until Cao Cao and Sun Jian broke the ice welcoming Lie Fan.
Lie Fan: "What's going on? Why did I hear commotion when I was near the tent?"
Sun Jian: "It's like this Brother Lie, the Warlords don't want to pursue Dong Zhuo, only me, Mengde, and Xuande agree with this plan."
Cao Cao: "That's right, if it's only me, Wentai, and Xuande then only death awaits us as Dong Zhuo still holds a large army!"
Yuan Shu: "Humph then why don't the two of you go?! We have won the battle, and Dong Zhuo has fled from Luoyang what more do we need?!"

Guan Yu and Zhang Fei who heard this become angry, especially Zhang Fei with his brash attitude and crude mouth, he curses Yuan Shu and even said that he only talks like this to scum.
Yaun Shu was angered by what Zhang Fei said, he said that this was the result of including uncouth and unlearned people to join the coalition easily. Gongsun Zan blasted Yuan Shu, saying that Liu Bei was his fellow apprentice to their master Lu Zhi how could he say Liu Bei was unlearned?
Lie Fan just watches everything from the sideline, drinking the tea that was served for him. Since he joined the Coalition, he has brought many butterfly effects. Sun Jian doesn't fall into Yuan Shu's scheme and doesn't lose at Sishui Pass.
The Sworn Brothers don't gain much fame and merit, since he interrupts their moment where He, Huang Zhong, and Dian Wei are the ones who receive the fame and merit.
The dispute that should have happened after Sun Jian's loss at Sishui Pass, where Yuan Shao disguised as winning the battle under Cao Cao's suggestion between Yuan Shu and Liu Bei is happening right now.
He can see that only Liu Bei and Sun Jian who aren't corrupted by the Imperial Seal truly cared for the Han Dynasty. Cao Cao only schemed everything and put up an act, so that things go his way which can be said how he grew so powerful in the future.
Soon the fight grew larger, dragging everyone into the coalition. Personal rivalries, grievances, and ambitions soon mixed up in the argument, causing the Coalition to the brink of collapse.
Lie Fan was tired of this, he knew that the Coalition would end as soon as they reached Luoyang. Rather than arguing with them, it's better he go back to Xu Province and develop his power base.
As for Luoyang, he doesn't care about it as Luoyang is a useless piece of land now. Maybe only Cao Cao saw an opportunity to hold Luoyang, his territory is close to Luoyang not unlike him whose territory is too far from Luoyang.
Lie Fan slams his hand on the table beside him, shocking everyone, and for a while the tent was quiet without a sound. Lie Fan stood up from his chair, and everyone was focused on Lie Fan the man who could fight against Lu Bu with his generals.
Lie Fan: "I could see what is happening right now, and I know full well like everyone here, as vast as the world is, it's not big enough for all of us to stand together. Since the Coalition has lost its meaning, then I am taking my leave."
Cao Cao: "Brother Lie Fan wait! You're the Hero of the last War, you're like a standard of our army, how can you just leave, If you leave, won't the rest of us be disheartened?"
Lie Fan: "Brother Mengde don't be too disheartened, you know full well now that the Coalition has lost its meaning, I leave Luoyang in your hand Brother Mengde, Goodbye everyone I hope in the future we can meet again."
Lie Fan leaves the tent alongside his soldiers, and Cao Cao just watches Lie Fan's back leaving the tent with his retinue. Lie Fan's words are accurate, The Coalition has lost its meaning, and now they are struggling against each other for interest.
Lie Fan's leaving prompted Sun Jian and Zhang Chao to leave as well, as Liu Bei also left bringing his sworn brothers with him, signifying the end of the Coalition against Dong Zhuo. The two men who lead the Vanguard have left, Zhang Miao can't stop his brother Zhang Chao from following Lie Fan.
Cao Cao turned his attention toward the rest of the Warlords, He proposed for a last banquet to be held to celebrate the victories of the Coalition. Yuan Shao agreed with Cao Cao's suggestion, Lie Fan's words slapped them all in the face and Yuan Shao as the leader of the Coalition needed to reduce the tension.
Everyone soon agreed with the suggestion, and Cao Cao acted mischievous and easygoing with all of the warlords. He wanted to have at least cordial relations with everyone until his power was strong enough to contend against them all, especially Liu Dai.
Lie Fan leaving the tent, walks toward his encampment with Jia Zu, Xun You, and his bodyguards. He suddenly heard his name being called from behind, he turned his head and saw Sun Jian and Zhang Chao walking toward him.
Zhang Chao: "Governor Lie Fan! Fortunately, we caught up with you, me alongside Administrator Sun Jian both supported what you said, Governor!"
Sun Jian: "What Prefect Zhang Chao saying is true, the Coalition now exists in name only and everyone only cares about their interest even Mengde!"
Lie Fan: "Thank you both for supporting me, now the Empire is in a fragile state, and with how powerful Dong Zhuo is I need to return to Xu Province to increase my strength to face Dong Zhuo."
Zhang Chao: "Them I follow alongside you Governor Lie Fan! Guangling is part of Xu Province and I'm your subordinate, without your help in the past Guangling will be looted by the Yellow Turbans!"
Sun Jian: "Then I also leave back to Changsha, I hope that we will meet again in the future under better circumstances."
Lie Fan: "Brother Sun Jian, before you leave I hope that you be careful of Liu Bia when you cross the Yellow River to return to Changsha."
Sun Jian was confused as to why Lie Fan said that, but he nodded his head to indicate he understood. So the three men go to their camp, Lie Fan tells his generals that they will leave for Xiapi at dawn tomorrow, so everyone should take a rest to restore their energy.
Huang Zhong, Dian Wei, Taishi Ci, and the others were confused as to why do they return to Xiapi, and not pursue Doing Zhuo toward Chang'An along with the Coalition.
Jia Xu explained what transpired on Lie Fan's behalf, hearing that the Coalition Lords didn't want to pursue Doing Zhuo except for Cao Cao, Sun Jian, and Liu Bei they were angry as the Lords were too ignorant of how powerful Dong Zhuo would become.
Taishi Ci was also disappointed in Kong Rong, as he had changed from a benevolent man to a man who only cared about his interests. He was planning to join Kong Rong again after the Coalition ended, but looks like staying with Lie Fan is the better choice.
Taishi Vi then stood up, approached Lie Fan, and kneeled before him swearing his loyalty, explaining his intention that he actually wanted to return to Kong Ring, even though he was grateful and touched by what Lie Fan and everyone here had done for him.
But now hearing what happened, he is disappointed in Kong Rong and decides to swear his loyalty to Lie Fan, a man he looked up to and has allowed his generals to impart their knowledge to him.
Lie Fan let out a loud laugh, today he received two generals and one of them had the potential to enter the prowess realm that he, Huang Zhong, and Dian Wei had entered.
Everyone was also happy, especially the generals as they had spent so much time with Taishi Ci and thought of him as their own brother. Lie Fan's subjects treat each other as family, of course, there will be conflicts and rivalries but at the end of the day they all are connected to one and that is Lie Fan.
