Jessy woke up in the mansion three hours before the sun was about to rise in the sky. The monster guy was already gone. She stared at the photo album but has no desire to open it. Instead, she put it back in the bedside table.
She teleported herself back into the Facility.
After taking a bath she put on jeans and t-shirt and went out to look for her mother for their morning breakfast routine in the canteen.
That afternoon she locked herself up in her room. While lying in bed, she starts scanning all the memories she had shared with the monster guy that was just recently installed in her brain. The problem with those memories is that they were just like empty photos that she can freely see in her head, yet she can't feel anything for the guy. No emotion and no love whatsoever. The connection is gone. Maybe she did love him before but right now, her heart loves no one.
There was a knock on the door. Jessy rose to her feet to see who is behind the door.
It's Hannah. She was holding a box with her.
"It's your wedding dress, Jess," she said a bit misty-eyed. "The Queen ordered me to bring this to you."
Hannah placed the box of wedding gown in the bed.
Jessy glanced at Hannah's sad countenance. "Why you looked so sad?"
"My Prince Zain will finally get married to you. I feel so sad. I envy you, you got to marry the guy that I love my whole life," with everything that Hannah said, tears were now flooding on her face, she releases heart-wrenching sobs.
Jessy took pity for Hannah. She hugged her and rubbed her back gently.
"Come on don't be sad. Sometimes we can't always get the person we love. In due time we will learn to forget them. One day you will soon meet your soulmate. Zain and I will just have to fulfill our duties and responsibilities. Please don't hate me for this!"
Hannah lifted her tear stricken face and looked in Jessy's eyes. "I will never hate you even if I envied you. You'd been kind to me and it matters to me a lot. Will you still allow me to live in your house after you and Zain got married?"
Hannah's pleading eyes so sad it makes Jessy teary-eyed.
"Yes of course! I will never break my promise to you. You will go with me to the new house."
Hannah's face brightened up like that of the sun that shined after a heavy rain.
"How did Zain treat you nowadays?"
Hannah fidgeted on the bed. "He never touches me again for several days now. The last time was when you brought him to his room frozen."
Jessy was surprised. So, Zain was really serious this time in making their marriage work by no longer touching Hannah.
"I always feel happy, contented and satisfied every time he touches me. At least physically he wanted me and find my body desirable. Even if I can't have his heart and his love, his touches make me feel wanted. I'm so willing to beg for any tiny touch from him, even if he just stare at my face for a few seconds I'm already overjoyed, I'm so pathetic!" she cried again.
Jessy sighed and patted Hannah's shoulder. She was thinking of how to cheer her up. She opened the box and inspected the gown...behold the most beautiful and most exquisite bloody red wedding gown she ever laid eyes was now in front of her. She smiled impressed by its fabulous design and elegant lace detailing.
"Oh My! This is beautiful!" exclaimed Jessy.
Hannah was also mesmerized by the beautiful wedding gown, she was feeling hypnotized.
Jessy placed the gown in Hannah's hands. "Wanna try it?" she asked.
Hannah was dumbstruck!
"Huh? Y-you want me to try your wedding dress, Jess?" she still can't believe it. "Are you kidding me?" he asked again in disbelief.
"Of course not. Am serious. You might not be able to wed the prince but at least you got to be the first to wear the wedding gown. How does it sound?" she smiled at Hannah, liking the growing excitement building up in her face.
"Yes! I want to try it if you allow me to!" she finally said.
Hannah strips all her clothes in front of Jessy and with all carefulness, she starts getting into the delicate wedding dress assisted by Jessy. The wedding dress came to life in Hannah's body, Jessy realized that she and the girl have the same body built. Jessy put down the red shoes on the floor for Hannah to try on as well. Hannah wore the red shoes and excitedly made some poses in front of the mirror inside Jessy's room. With her lovely smile, she imagined herself to be the radiant bride walking along the aisles towards the altar and Zain waiting for her with love in his eyes.
Jessy took the moment to open her cell phone, activated the camera and took several photos of Hannah wearing the wedding gown.
"You are a beautiful bride Hannah! I took some photos of you wearing the wedding gown, during sad days you can look at it and it will surely bring a smile into your face," she said. She let Hannah see the photos.
"OMG! They were beautifully taken!" exclaimed Hannah. She liked the photos very much. "Thank you so much, Jessy. I never expected this! You really make me happy today."
Fifteen minutes later...the wedding gown was back inside the box, neatly folded.
"Aren't you going to try it?" asked Hannah.
"Later, my mother will insist on it for sure. I will wait for her."
"Okay. I will go out now, thank you again, Jessy!"
The girl hugged Jessy tight. "Thank you so much!"
"Don't mention it. I'm glad I make you happy today. Cheer up!" Jessy said.
Hannah exited the door with a happy look in her face.
Fifteen minutes later, her mother burst into the room.
"Where is the wedding dress!?" asked Sarah in anticipation.
Jessy motioned her head towards the bed.
Sarah walked to the bed and opened the box. Her smile widened. "Oh my! What a beautiful wedding gown! Jessy come here, try it now!" she said excitedly.
Jessy beamed at her mother's jubilant expression. She eagerly strips her clothes and tries on the gown assisted by her mother.
Jessy wore the red shoes as well and twirled in front of the mirror. She likes what she saw! The wedding gown is indeed beautiful! It looks good on her! It fits her body well like a second skin. For the first time in her life, she can say that she was beautiful, she and the wedding gown look so beautiful together. Amazing! Now she can look forward to the wedding with excitement!
"Fabulous! Fantastic! You look amazing my daughter!" Sarah hugged her daughter delighted with how the wedding gown brings the best in her daughter.
Jessy keeps smiling genuinely this time.
There's a knock on the door, her father came inside.
Hector got misty-eyed upon seeing his lovely daughter wearing such a beautiful wedding gown.
"You look to be the most beautiful bride I had ever seen, Jess!" Hector hugged his daughter lovingly.
Jessy smiled at his father.
Ten minutes later, Princess Abigail came inside as well.
"OMG! what a beautiful gown and a beautiful bride!" Princess Abigail squealed with delight. Amazed by the breathtaking image of her sister in law with the red gown.
Then another knock can be heard...this time the groom came inside.
Everyone became silent.
Zain stared at Jessy's lovely bewitching sight. Wow, as in wow! Jessy's beauty shined spectacularly along with the breathtaking gown she was wearing. His breath was caught in his throat.
Jessy was still smiling looking at Zain's face.
Zain took few steps forward that brought him in front of his bride, truly mesmerized by her fabulous sight. "You're stunning, Jess!"
She continues smiling at him radiantly.
When Zain hugged her tight and planted a kiss on her cheeks, she allows it, she even returned his hug. The lovely smile she was wearing never fades away even for a second. Everyone around them clapped and cheered.
Then somebody shouted...Kiss! Kiss! Kiss the bride!
Zain and Jessy looked at each other's eyes meaningfully. Then the Prince's lips claimed Jessy's mouth for a few lingering seconds, for Zain it already feels like an eternity. For once, he feels truly happy.
Cat calls, laughter, and cheering broke inside the room and their kiss finally ended. The couple was holding hands bowed in front of their spectator wearing their dazzling smile.
"What a lovely couple!" Hector said, proud of his daughter and son in law.
