Capítulo 57: Free Ride
Have you ever wonder how is it like inside a fish's stomach? Well, let me tell you, it stinks, both literally and figuratively.
How do I know? Well, let me tell you what happened 30 minutes ago.
"Are we there yet?" Val asked, looking very bored within the bubble.
I know she couldn't hear me in the water so I shook my head before continuing to swim up the broken stairway.
We have been here for who knows how long now, and we pretty much explored the whole place. Currently, we are at what I think is the 62nd floor.
The monster is becoming weaker and weaker by the floor and gave less exp and RP. Their meat is also very bitter and Val doesn't want to eat them.
Once we reach the uppermost stairway, the water receded right on schedule, leaving him gasping for air as Val pat his back.
Just because I no longer need air, that doesn't mean it becomes less tiring to do exercise non-stop.
After catching my breathing, we continue forward into an area with a large door covered in kelp.
Not thinking much since I had seen many of them, I did what I always did and burn it.
When the kelp clear away the door burst open and water flooded the place, before I could regain my balance, I saw a pair of jaws coming their way.
The next thing I know, we are already in this sticky and stinky place. What's that? It was lame? Well, I guess you can say that but hey if you are seeing what my map is picking you would want the free ride.
Sure it's uncomfortable but as of now, we are being taken higher and higher within the structure, if my conjecture is right, then we are heading for the exit and all I need is to wait for the perfect moment to strike.
of course, it didn't take long with their speed of travel. the moment my map shows that they entered a wide-open area I start spamming spells at the fish stomach wall until it finally rips and creates a hole.
what about the creature? well, it was thrashing in pain but it's asleep now, yeah.. an eternal sleep.
after getting out of the thing I was amazed at the size of the place we were in, the temple look almost like a pyramid if it didn't have a flat top.
comparing the size of the structure and my map, I could only say I am glad I hitch the ride. my map shows that where I was were only somewhere near the bottom, not even close to the surface.
well moving on, swimming away from it, I took the two of us to the surface of the water. from there I took a look around and couldn't find land but a single island in the distant.
"Well Val, I guess we will have to swim more," I said with a dry laugh and she just gave me a pout before laying down within the bubble. her emotional condition actually improves faster with how we interact now, I would really love to make a homunculus to observe how this process works.
as for now, I could only swim away.
