Though he managed to survive, he had, unfortunately, lost his left leg. He could hardly take care of himself, much less support his family. His father gave up on himself ever since. During the day, he would be out on his cane, shamelessly borrowing money to get drunk. Otherwise, he would be loudly snoring all day long or throwing a fit in the house.
