Emi did not expect Misaki to act fast on the matter of the tuition she promised. After the conversation, she pushed the issue to the back of her mind. She intended to deal with it when she was sure Misaki was committed to learning.
However, on that Friday, as she waited for the discipline committee to hand in the weekly report, she found herself facing the man who haunted her dreams. She felt tongue-tied as she looked at him standing at her door as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Her heart rate accelerated as she tried to compose herself.
"Mr Yagi, what an unexpected surprise." She almost stuttered through the words.
"Oh, isn't a surprise, by definition, unexpected?" He asked as he stepped into her space and settled into the chair opposite her desk.
