Capítulo 101: Following Or Stalking, Does It Matter?
"You really aren't good with transportation are you, Natsu?" Happy spoke to Natsu who had his head hanging out of the train's window while puking from time to time. Meanwhile, unknown to the both of them, I was right next to them using the space laws to make me invisible.
Since I found out that Natsu was heading off to Harbor town, which is where the canon started, I had told the girls about making a short trip outside of the town. Of course with the recent events that had transpired, it wasn't easy to convince the girls to let me go but I managed to convince them after reassuring them that this would not end up with any physical confrontation.
After informing the girls, I informed Makarov who just accepted it as it was and then I was off. I made my way to the train station since I knew Natsu will be using train to get there and then here we are in the current situation. It would take another half an hour to reach the town but I wasn't going to be impatient. After all, I was able to keep myself calm for all these years until now, just another thirty minutes is nothing.
While enjoying the amusing sight of Natsu and Happy's oh so innocent comments, the rest of the journey was completed and we reached our destination. But I still haven't forgotten what would happen next and so, I took out the popcorn I prepared beforehand and stood just outside of the train in front of Natsu and Happy.
Happy once again made a comment about Natsu not being good with transportation before Natsu rode off along with the train after not recovering from the earlier ride. The simple 'Ah' response to that from Happy was just a bonus as I started laughing while eating my popcorn as I watched Happy fly off to get Natsu.
"Hm, wait, is this following or is it stalking? Hm, well doesn't matter. Now when are those two coming back? Oh there they are. Let's get this show on the road." I mumbled after having my laughter stopped and waited for the two of them to come back.
Soon enough, Natsu and Happy came back via Happy carrying him while flying and then headed into town. I quietly followed after them as I watched Natsu slouch having still not recovered from the train ride. We didn't walk for much long before we reached the place where the fake salamander was surrounded by women who were under charm magic.
And standing inside of the crowd there was a young girl of about seventeen years of age. She has brown colored eyes and had shoulder length blonde hair that is tied to the right side of her head with a red ribbon with the rest of her hair loose. She has curvaceous body which can turn any sane man's sight towards them.
When I saw her, I couldn't help but smile as while it hasn't been that long for me, technically, it has been years since I last saw her. The girl was of course, Lucy Heartfilia, who from what I can see is not affected by the charm magic which is obviously different from canon. But I guess I could take the credit for that since I did get her to fall for me. Probably.
While I was having these thoughts, Natsu had managed to garner the wrath of the ladies surrounding the fake salamander who sent him skidding out of the crowd. I watched as the scene from the canon played out where the fake guy approached Natsu and handed him an autograph and stuff.
After that, Lucy approached Natsu after he left the crowd and took him towards a restaurant to eat. Since I wasn't technically here, I wasn't able to get a table for myself but I didn't mind that. I just sat next to Lucy while making sure I was intangible along with invisible. That was easy to me, who can do multiple things at once for much longer than I ever could before.
I sat there listening to them have the similar hilarious conversation as in the canon. Lucy's reaction to Natsu and Happy talk about Igneel, Natsu and Happy's reaction to Lucy pointing out that a dragon can't be inside of the town. Honestly, this was all giving me a serious sense of nostalgia. I mean, meeting the characters is one thing but to see the story pan out in front of me is another matter entirely.
After the Lucy separated from Natsu and Happy, I didn't remain with the duo. Instead, I walked right next to Lucy as I enjoyed the small walk we had despite her not realizing my presence. Some might say that this is creepy but I don't give a damn about what others think. In a way, I am doing this so that Lucy remains safe. Since I already decided to change things up by training those at Fairy Tail, doing so even more doesn't change anything.
Of course, I am not going to stop her from getting on that slave ship since it was there that she was able to summon Aquarius. But after she gets on the ship, I can just make myself appear before her so that she doesn't worry about anything happening to her after she realizes the truth about the ship.
With that in mind, I watched as Lucy talked to herself about wanting to join Fairy Tail while sitting on a bench. And then soon enough, that fake guy creeped out of the bushes behind her and introduced himself as someone from Fairy Tail. Pft, yeah right. But since Lucy being Lucy, she fell for it as expected. And then she went and agreed to go on the slave ship. Haah, I really need to work on her intelligence since I can't always be there to save her.
The rest of the day, Lucy walked around the town before heading back to her hotel room to get changed into that fancy dress she wore in the canon. To be honest, I really wanted to sneak a peek at her changing but I decided not to do so since I will get my chance soon enough, hehe.
After she got ready, she went to the harbor and boarded the yacht which was, as I said, a slave ship. I followed behind her and when she sat down on a couch, I made my way behind her and lowered my head next to hers'.
"My, my, you sure have guts, Lucy." I whispered into her ear which made her release a low 'kyaa' in her response after which, she covered her mouth before turning back to see who spoke directly into her ear. I revealed my head only which was showing a smile that spoke about how amused I was by the situation before I once again turned invisible.
"R-Ray?!" Lucy cried out after she saw my face and she was about to follow up with something else which I am guessing would be in a loud voice so I used my invisible yet now tangible hand to cover her mouth.
"Keep quiet. Seriously Lucy, how can you just waltz in to a stranger's ship like this. If I weren't here, you could have been sent to some unknown parts of the world and sold off as a slave." I spoke up after covering her mouth and her eyes widened at what I just said. Well, she wouldn't have been sold off or anything since Natsu was going to arrive shortly but I wasn't gonna miss an opportunity to act cool.
"Now listen to me well. This is actually a slave ship and the guy you followed behind is not someone from Fairy Tail. He is someone who was kicked out of his previous guild because of his involvement in different crimes. Now, since I am here you don't need to worry about anything, just act like I am not here, got it?" I managed to explain things to her in time since I saw that fake guy come over and Lucy nodded to me so that I could see that she understood and so I released my hand over her mouth and watched silently.
