44.44% Blake Stone / Chapter 12: Trump card.

Capítulo 12: Trump card.

Boom!!!

Twelve separate sounds of explosions could be heard one after another as the formation crumbled over their heads. Eir formed a protective barrier above her and Blake's heads to shield against the broken shards of the White Glass Marble. With the word 'Glass' in the name along with it being a material meant for cultivators, it was at least ten times sharper than normal glass if it was broken. Not to mention, it was at least a hundred times durable than glass. Just imagine the amount of energy needed for breaking the formation...

The surroundings cleared and the shocked expressions of the four-fifty Formation Masters could be seen wherever one looked.

"Fall back!" Dagger barked out a command but before he could even take a step back, a green light flashed for a brief moment on his wrist. More precisely, on the comms device he was wearing on his wrist.

"Damn! They were here all this time!" Dagger was extremely furious. The Adventure Guild had sent him to search for Brom's whereabouts but it was not stupid enough to give him the task of bringing Brom back. He had suffered much in the past decade, traveling from place to place. He was sure he would have to search for another decade if not for him visiting the Segenam family today. The kid over there mentioned his new friend's named Blake Stone and so Dagger took his leave immediately.

He was only here to delay Brom till the reinforcements arrived.

He was extremely furious because the reinforcements had already arrived early on but they only decided to show themselves now! They were clearly waiting for him to make a show of himself after getting crushed by Brom.

Images of them insulting and humiliating him about this matter in the future flooded his mind as he drew himself into another trance.

Shua!

Tens of figures could be seen jumping from windows and roofs all around them. They stood majestically on towers and other high grounds, robes fluttering in the suddenly present wind.

"Move! Old fellas. You know the rules of the martial world yet you dare make a move together on one single weak loose cultivator who has not accepted any formal challenges? To think you are honorable figures with prideful identities and statuses!" Shouted Brom, and to complement his speech, he spat on the ground to show his dissatisfaction. To his surprise, Dagger came forward to stand besides him and spat at the same place he had. He even rubbed the ground with his foot!

The heck?

Dagger was betraying TAG?

It seemed time had frozen when Dagger patted his back, "I'm rooting for you on this one. Go show 'em who's boss!" He quickly left as he said these words. It took a while for those words to sink but in the end, the only thought left was: 'at least, one problem is gone'.

Spinning a round, Brom scanned the surroundings to identify the newcomers.

Starting from the School Head of the Apothecary School, he was an old man with white hair and a short but thick beard. His green Apothecary robes gave him a dignified appearance.

Next in line was the Headmaster of the Blacksmith School, a dwarf. He wore black robes with orange and red flames printed on it. His thick and sturdy built and extremely long facial hair along with those ferocious eyes were a fear instilling sight.

After him was a middle aged but still beautiful woman, the School Head from the school of the three 'S's- Sight, Sound and Scent. Her bright and colorful robes were extremely eyecatching.

Some distance away stood a bald- errr, a monk. His shiny head made it difficult to see his lower body but the outline told that he was wearing standard Buddhist robes.

After him was a long series of men and women, one being a dwarf, with similar standings.

With a grand total of twenty-seven, these big dogs had all gathered together today here for one purpose. If any random cultivator passed by, he would just faint mid way, seeing all these people at one place was just this shocking!

Fainting is an understatement even after judging the mental fortitude of cultivators.

Leaving the small details before they takeover the whole chapter, the twenty seven did not waste time with the small talks. The Apothecary took out a capsule the size of a thumb and threw it on the ground. A green mist spread out and soon covered the whole space. The twenty seven took out a gas mask each and covered their faces before jumping in the mist.

Eir, who was forgotten at some point of time, used her energy to make masks for herself, Blake and Brom who was still well inside her range.

With the poisonous green mist shrouding the area, the only thing that could be seen from the outside where Eir and Blake were was the random lights blinking from the numerous battle skills and spells the people were using and the corresponding sound effects. It was like when the display screen suddenly break downs when you were mid-battle in a game. You can only use the sounds from the speaker to understand the situations and input the right commands. Extremely annoying, irritating and headache-causing. Just that, they did not have to shoulder the burden of controlling the characters.

"Blake, where are you going?" In the midst of this all, Eir noticed Blake running off, away from the mist.

"Mommy, I need to pee", Blake hollered as he swiftly ran away. There was nobody restricting them so he could leave as he wished.

"Don't be away for long!" Eir called back.

Brom was really in a pinch this time. He had used up too much energy when he was breaking that formation of Dagger. Now, along with the exhaustion from his fight against Dagger while being on even grounds, he was up against twenty seven people with strengths equaling Dagger.

They did not possess brute strength or battle skill equaling his but had other means to contend against him. Brom was a straightforward cultivator who had honed his innate strength to the point of becoming the Humanity's Strongest. These oldies had instead chosen the roundabout path to practice their occupations until they became part of their strengths. Like the Apothecary using various poisons and potions.

Another example could be taken from Dagger who used formations to confront an opponent more powerful than himself.

Brom had to keep track of all these not-so-straightforward methods. Dodging attacks on the soul from the monk, avoiding traps from the trap master and illusions from the illusion master were all on the list.

"I didn't want to use this but you people forced me to!" In the end, Brom decided to finally show his own trump card.
