It had been a long evening, and it had thoroughly exhausted her. The twins had been so active throughout the day, and she'd been trying to keep up with their energy. She supposed being six-year-old kids had made their lithe bodies tolerate the energy they had to burn in a day.

Now that the two children were sleeping peacefully in their room, she just wanted to have a hot shower and sleep comfortably beside her husband tonight. Deciding that she shouldn't waste time, Lu Xinyi stood up, left her grinning husband and strode to the bathroom.

"I'll take a shower," she said, sparing a look at Shen Yi.

"Do you need some help?"

Could she slap the smug look off of his face? It was irritating.

"No, thanks."
