Noah was surprised. He was thinking about less important things to him aside from Lawrence actually saying he wanted Bomberman dead. Not only was he was shocked to hear Nene's name, but she was even referred to as the granddaughter of the Arsene boss.

His brows then frowned. Why did it feel like something was wrong with it?

"Wasn't Nene deployed to California? She was taken there?" Noah knew Nene as a scheming beauty with a small stature. She probably wouldn't get caught by just anyone even if they were witches by nature. Noah was more prone to getting baited than Nene… or even the rest of the Shadow Hands.

"She wasn't. That was… that was a fraud assignment. I gave it to her to keep her relationship with me a secret. None of the Shadow Hands knew about her being my granddaughter." Lawrence sighed as he cupped his hand on the other. "You two are friends. Will you help me?"
