Capítulo 285: The Right Path (III)

The door flung wide open.

General Feng and Feng Furen both walked outside after sensing that they had an unwelcome guest. They stood on top of the staircase with swords in their hands.

At first, they had expected the worst, but  they were surprised when they saw a familiar lofty figure.

The husband and wife both looked at each other.

…The Emperor?

They had to take another look at the tall figure again to make sure that they weren't seeing things.

…It really was the Emperor.

…But where were his guards? 

…And why was he here?

They both placed their swords back in their sheath and swiftly walked down the stairs.

There were many questions, but they had to save that for later. Feng Furen slightly nudged her husband to welcome the Emperor together.

"Long live-" They were about to give a formal greeting to the Emperor when they were stopped by the Emperor himself.
