At the back of Kunning's Tearoom, three shadowy figures came inside the room swiftly. The entire room was dimly lit like usual as if the Empress had always been recuperating in her temporary room.
A few twoots welcomed their presence back to the Royal Palace.
"Miss! You're back!...Ahem, I mean Empress, you're back!" A voice rang in Hui Lan's head the moment they stepped in.
"Hm, I only took one step in and you already know, how nice." Hui Lan spoke while walking inside her room with a wooden medicine box.
"Of course!" Xiao Mao replied back in high spirits.
The Empress placed down the medicine box on her table before turning to talk to the Su siblings, "Both of you, can you come over here, I need to talk to you about something." She then took her hat and black cloth off from her and placed it on the table.
Xiao Mao could only pout on the side as he scooted over to Hui Lan.

It has been another long while. I've recently been experiencing a creative block and my thoughts weren't just processing, so I took some rest and searched for inspiration over the past few weeks.
