After spending one more day in Kokala city, Mays and the other four finally departed and started moving to their next destination. They sold most of their Grey Horn since there were no more use of them.
Mays was riding his black horse while Len mounted his Grey Horn. Both Aria and Nova rode the cart which carried Miur and all their supplies altogether. Nobody knew what really happened to the monster summoned in Kokala city apart from these five people. They didn't tell anyone about it either.
With the current city lord on the run, the former city lord was called back to the city. He wouldn't arrived in a few days though. With the chaotic situation at hand, nobody even bothered about their group when they left the city.
"That city lord, if we ever meet again… I'd kill him for sure."
"With just you? Even Len couldn't kill him."
Aria and Nova were talking while Miur was asleep on the cart. Mays and Len were both not in the mood to talk.
"But Mays surely can do it. Don't you think so?"
"That's a matter of course. He beat that thunder sabretooth easily while the city lord ran just from the sight of it."
Soon enough the topic escalated to how powerful Mays was. Mays and Len just looked at each other without saying anything. Mays also came to an understanding about the mind-set of the people living in this world.
They revered the strong and they forget about the deceased quite fast. The reason might be because how often it happened. This was a world where the strong preyed upon the weak after all.
After three days of journey, Mays and the others arrived at the next town after Kokala. Since the distance between each town was not far, there were no monsters which blocked their path.
This second town was called Kilia and its size was at least twice the size of Kokala. Upon their arrival, they noticed that the city gate were guarded by several stern looking soldiers.
Not even Len had came to this city. As they closed in toward the city gate, one of the soldier walked toward them.
"How many people? One silver per person if you want to enter Kilia."
"Ah okay."
Len was fast at comprehending as he paid out five silver to the soldier right away. That soldier then signaled his companions to open the city gate.
"Also, currently our city lord is away so try not to stir up trouble or you might even get punished harsher than normal."
"Okay noted."
The city gate were immediately closed soon after Mays's group entered. The soldiers were being overly cautious with their security.
Kilia was bustling with liveliness. The streets were full of people while there were lots of stall all along making it resembles a marketplace. Every once and then, Mays and his group would stumbled upon monsters blending in the sea of humans.
These monsters with a human physics were called humanoid type monsters. They possessed more intelligent than beast type monsters. Most of them which roamed inside a city was either contracted or subdued using oath by humans.
Thanks to the contract, most of them didn't mess with humans as their contracted human would shoulder the responsibility for their action.
Only the truly strong humanoid monsters roamed all over the world alone without being contracted by other humans. These kind of strong character hardly ever showed themselves in public, let alone in human continent.
"Whoa there are humanoid monsters in this city!"
Miur who saw a humanoid monster for the first time blurt out what she thought. She never left the village her father was in charge of so she never had the chance to.
"Yep, but all three we had passed through were all on the bronze level. I wonder if there was even one boss class among them or not."
Mays who got nothing to do replied to Miur in a casual manner. His reply picked Len's interest as he never heard of something like boss class before.
"Boss class? What's that?"
Before Len could open his mouth and asked, Nova already asked the question to Mays. She was also interested in something she had never heard of before.
"Well… to put things simply, every living thing can be divided into two category. Normal and boss class."
"And?"
"Boss class is something beyond normal class. You can either train hard or be blessed with innate talent to fit into boss class. As for normal class, they're basically normal. Like Len, he's a normal bronze rank warrior."
Mays tried his best to explain but the concept was not that easy to grasp. Len might get what Mays was explaining but Miur and the rest still clueless about it.
"Then… then what about you Mays? You must be a boss class for sure right?"
Miur couldn't hide her excitement all over her face. She knew that Mays was extraordinary but she still wanted the confirmation from the man himself.
"Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not."
"Eeeeeh for real?"
Not just Miur, Len and the other two also shouted in unison. They thought Mays was already an existence so powerful that nothing could top him but he denied the fact that he was already at boss class.
"Truth be told, I don't know I fit in what category. But I'm sure my overall strength was on par with those intermediate bosses."
Mays replied with a grin. He meant what he said. He did have the strength to back up his word. Back in HeavensTale, he did soloed dungeons and fight on par with bosses whose level was the same as him. He could even summon spirits to fight alongside him but he didn't resort to that unless it was absolute necessary.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The city lord of Kilia had actually rushed toward Kokala city after he heard about a rampaging silver ranked monster inside the city. They took different route compared to Mays and the rest hence they didn't met on the road.
Since Kilia city was a big city, they had more population than Kokala city. Obviously, they had more silver rank fighter than Kokala city. There was three people who moved from Kilia toward Kokala and the three of them were all silver rank fighter. Kilia city had a total of four silver rank fighter and the last one was left inside Kilia city to defend it just in case.
Kilia's city lord, Lord Amura together with his two general Babbu and Gorra only took around one and a half day before they reached Kokala city. That was considered fast since normally it would take three days to travel between those two cities.
Several minutes after their arrival, they saw a familiar face standing on top of one of the watchtower nearby the city entrance. Lord Amura let out a relieved sigh when he saw that person before he called out to him.
"Heeeeeey Antor! Been a while eh?"
"Amura? What brings you here? Even Babbu and Gorra came too."
Lord Antor smiled as he recognized who those people were. Amura was his sworn brother while the other two were Amura's friends. They once traveled across the continent together back in their younger day.
"Well, since you are away at the capital, I thought that I need to do something about the rampaging beast in your city. Never thought that you will be here yourself hahahhaa."
"Well, it's my city after all. I requested special permission to use a teleportation gate hence I am here before you arrived."
"Ah, no wonder. So, did you kill the rampaging beast?"
Amura who arrived later than Antor obviously believed that his best friend already get rid of that pest.
"Truth be told, I didn't even catch a glimpse of that monster. Everything already over when I arrived yesterday."
"Ehhh… how come?"
"I don't really know what was happening either but something is amiss. I need to look for my son as he might know what happened. Not to mention that I need to beat him back to his sense. How dare he mess with the city when I am away for only two years. "
The four of them then left together. Nobody knew their destination but their current purpose was obviously to look for Lord Arbah. There seems to be a lot of catching up for those two old friends as they had not seen each other for years.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kilia city was harmonious. Even though street thugs were still seen from time to time, the city guards did their utmost to ensure the security of the city.
Mays and the others already settled inside an inn located almost at the center of the city. Since the price was normal, Len decided to not be picky and immediately reserved two room for their party.
"We will move out early in the morning tomorrow."
"Okay."
Miur and the other two girl agreed on leaving the city as soon as possible. They were in no mood for sightseeing after losing more than half of their group in previous city. Mays on the other hand just nodded before he left the group and walked out of the inn alone.
"I'm going out for a bit. I'll be back before dawn."
"Ahh... okay."
"Be safe."
They had just finished eating dinner and about to go to their own room when Mays suddenly planned to head out instead. Miur was about to ask Mays where he was going but she was stopped by Nova. Miur then just kept her mouth shut as she watched Mays walked away until he was no longer on sight.
Len and the rest knew that Mays was not in any way obligated to follow whatever they had decided but so far he didn't even voiced any complaint about anything.
Not to mention that with his strength, he could rule over the group with ease but he didn't do so. In their eyes, Mays was a man with strong integrity filled with sense of justice.
"Mays going to meet someone?"
"Nah no way. He said it already that this is his first time here. He might just go sightseeing."
Nova and Aria tried to guess what Mays planned to do.
"Well, his matter was not something we could dig into anyways. Go get some rest for tomorrow."
Len who was totally uninterested with the topic immediately walked toward his room. He was alone in his room since Mays was going somewhere. He could still heard the voice of his young lady and those two from the other room chatting merrily.
Deep in the dark night, one figure walked alone across the street. He walked and walked until he found an isolated area away from the masses. He was currently in a small garden filled with tall trees, devoid of any humans. This guy was none other than Mays.
"Okay, this place seems perfect."
After he confirmed that there were no one else nearby, Mays immediately summoned his archive cube. Ever since they entered Kilia city, never once he found a place without any other human being. This city was too crowded. He even moored his black horse outside the inn because of this.
Mays entered the archive cube right after it was summoned. He immediately picked five tablets from the spirit rack and brought them out. Previously, he had no need for these spirits as he had just started his journey. He needs to learn more about the current world he was in first.
There was no phones in this world. Convenience skills such as telepathy was not available either. If he just summons these spirits and let them go out, they would likely be strayed away from him forever. Because of that, he never planned to summon them anytime soon.
Now that he was about to reach his destination, he needed to do something behind the scene to ensure his smooth sailing in the future. He already knew all the basic information needed to safely travel in this world right now.
The five spirit tablets which Mays took out from his archive were not ordinary spirits. The first one of them was the spirit of the dark angel. This was the strongest spirits a player could get in HeavensTale. Even back in HeavensTale, there was only one copy of this spirit tablet meaning that Mays was the only one who had it.
The other four spirit tablets were main elemental spirits. Earth spirits, fire spirits, water spirits and wind spirits. For these elemental spirits, there were five copies for each of them and Mays had one copy of each in his archive.
These elemental spirits were the elites of the elites when it come to spirits. Most HeavensTale player would brag nonstop if they had at least one of these elemental spirits but Mays had all four of them. He was a true perfectionist after all. He never told anyone about his collection either.
Dark Angel spirit, Syaitona the berserker. Earth spirit, Damia the knight. Water spirit, Aloha the shaman. Fire spirit, Mira the magus. Wind spirit, Silvia the ranger.
Back in HeavensTale, player could own countless spirits but they could only summon four of them at one time. If they summoned the fifth one, the first one would disappeared right away. Mays never planned to summon all five of them here.
He just wanted to test if the rule from HeavensTale applied here or not. Surprisingly, it was not. All five spirits were summoned in front of him right after he get out of the archive cube.
"We greet our esteemed master."
Syaitona who was acknowledged as the leader of these five spirits greeted Mays with reverence. The other four which followed suit were also on their knee, waiting for Mays to command them. Mays on the other hand was shocked beyond words.
These five spirits were made by him but they were never this real. They were just three dimension character in games. Back in HeavensTale, players were given the privilege to build their own spirits be it their looks, race, gender or whatever it was as long as they had the spirit tablet. Since he was a man, it was obvious that he would make all his favorite spirits as women. No man would refuse a harem.
Syaitona was a bewitchingly beautiful and sexy berserker. She had a long pitch black hair and also a decently built curvy body which perfectly suited her overly revealing armors. She had the strict yet playful personality befitting her.
The second spirits under Mays's command was Damia. She was also a tall and decently build woman. As a knight, she had the air of upright and justice. Her long blonde hair fit perfectly with her full body golden armor which made her look grand.
Aloha and Mira were built as twins. They had the same cute face, short hairs and petite stature. Their only difference from each other was their hair color, Aloha with light blue hair while Mira with a fiery red hair. Aloha was the shy and silent type while Mira was totally her opposite, the cheerful type.
The last elemental spirits which Mays summoned was Silvia, the ranger. She was totally different than the others. She was built as an elf while the other spirits were built based on human. She was tall and slender, and obviously her beauty was on par with the other spirits. Pale white skin, long silver hairs and pointy ears were all the common traits for elves. She was totally the matured ice cold type woman.
The thing that shocked him the most was that these five spirits he made were all heavenly beautiful. In his entire life on earth, never had he saw anyone who could match their beauty. Even all those well-known model nor actor worldwide paled in comparison to them.
"You can all rise."
That moment Mays gave the command, Mira immediately jumped and hugged Mays tightly. Mays stood there motionless, dumbfounded. Not even one second later, Mira was smacked right on her head.
"Stay away from master!"
Syaitona shouted while she tried to separate Mira from Mays. The others just sighed upon this drama which happened in front of them. Mays was still dumbfounded as he just remembered something years ago.
The personality these spirits shown were totally the same as what he had wrote on their tablet back then. He painfully wrote their personality in details to the utmost word limits on their spirit tablet. He forgot about what he wrote a few month later since the spirits never showed emotions in game.
Never would he had thought that they would be totally the same as they were prescribed when he summoned them here. He even remembered that these five beauties had unbiased and everlasting love for him written on their tablets.
"Enough!"
One simple word made the both of them immediately stopped acting like a kid and stood there motionlessly.
"Sss... sorry master."
"Sorry."
Both of them immediately apologized. Their loyalty were totally top notch. Their personality on the other hand, was obviously a headache.
"Nah I'm not mad at you guys. It's just that I'm still not used to this, seeing you all so alive and real."
Mays feel bad when he looked at both of them. They didn't meant any harm to him. They were just acting as they were supposed to. Not to mention Mays was the one who made them that way.
"So… Mmm... Mira can do this later when master are okay?"
Mira asked with her face full of anticipation. She really was like a kid. Mays just couldn't say no to that. No matter how tough he looked outside, he was weak to womanly charm. He didn't have much contact with the opposite gender to begin with. Not to mention that these women in front of him right now were all world class beauty.
"Yeah. But you guys need to work hard for it."
All five of them smiled when they heard Mays's reply. Their only purpose in life was to serve their master after all.
"What is your order, Master?"
Damia who was silent all this time suddenly asked.
"Hehe just something simple. I want you guys to go ahead to Mercia and gather information related to teleportation or summoning. Also, you guys can participate in the tournament without revealing your identity if you want. I will join you guys there shortly."
"Consider it done."
The five of them immediately disappeared into the dark night after they received their order. Their speed were on par with Mays himself. It was a given since all five of them were also max level.
In HeavensTale, a player could only use four spirits at the same time. As a top player, Mays obviously used his best five spirits alternatively as his favorite all time party.
These spirits had base stat, health and mana on par with intermediate bosses character in HeavensTale. Not to mention, players could also equipped their spirits with gears like a player.
Since these five had fully equipped legend rank item, Mays didn't plan to summon other spirits even though he could. He prefers his companion to be low in number but had top tier quality.
Mays who had everything in his archive spent no less effort gearing up all five of his spirits so that they could kill players of the same level effortlessly. It could be said that he was one of the few players who fully equipped all his active spirits with legend rank gears.
