Capítulo 1: The start of a journey

Mays couldn't believe what just happened. He already stood there like a statue for over one hour yet he was still in a confused state.

"Am I dreaming?"

He pinched his own cheek as hard as he could just to verify whatever happened right now was real or not. Surprisingly, it hurts god damn much signalling the very scenery he saw was without a doubt, real.

He observed his own body and equipment more than one time just to make sure. Apparently, on his body right now was something he couldn't be anymore mistaken with, his full set of Crimson Death Armor sets.

The crimson armor sets along with his fluttering dark red Flame Emperor Cape was his signature look, when he was at the apex of HeavensTale. Back then, he was widely known and feared as the Red Wargod, bringer of chaos.

Mays sat on top of an oval shaped stone as its height was just right to be treated as a chair. He was still not fully convinced that everything in front of him was real. He even kicked some sands and plucked several leaf nearby just to verify the reality some more.

"How did this even happened? Ugh I couldn't brain this at all."

Mays tried to recall what just happened to him. He vaguely remembered that a few minutes ago he was still in his room, in front of his laptop. He was quite bored previously hence he looked through his external hard disk for something interesting to kill his time with.

It just happened that he saw a game launcher of once his former favorite game, HeavensTale. He tried to launch that game when suddenly an overwhelming light beam shone from the screen of his laptop.

That bright light shrouded his whole room within seconds. When the light dissipated, Mays was already where he was right now, clueless of what just happened himself.

"System open!" " Character open!" " Inventory!"

This was not a virtual reality game. There was no sound transmission system either. Basically, this was not a place where something like a system user interface would just popped out when summoned.

There never was something as convenient as that. After trying for several minutes, Mays sat back on the oval shaped stone as he came to a conclusion that system interface didn't exists. Soon after, Mays started searching for something around his body.

Apart from the visible armors, weapons, clothes and accessories he currently had equipped on him, he was looking for something way more important.

"Thanks god everything was still the same as I remember it."

Mays found what he was looking for at the corner of his Infinite Space Belt. Space Belt was a beginner's item in HeavensTale where every player would get for free right after they started playing the game back then.

His Infinite Space Belt was on the other hand, a legend rank item. Beginner's space belt was ranked normal while there were different space belt for different item rank. Even though these space belts got no difference in their shapes nor look, the space inside the belt differs greatly based on their ranks. There was also additional items to enlarge them.

Space belt got four distinct slots which were the inventory slots, misc. slots, material slots and lastly the archive slots. The things that Mays looked for previously was the archive cube latched at the archive slots of the space belt.

Mays grabbed the archive cube and inspect it for some time. It was a handful golden cube with the size of a normal rubik's cube. He never knew this archive cube had some detailed inscription on it. He only looked at it from a third person view on the screen of his laptop before this after all.

As he inspected the cube, he found out that the cube was surprisingly hi-tech. In the middle of one of the six side of the cube lies a circle with lead surface. When Mays put his thumb on top of it, the archive cube activated right away.

"Heh, knew it."

The archive cube immediately changed into a three meter golden cube with Mays already sucked inside of it. The golden cube looks really sturdy. Mays who was inside the archive cube was beyond astonished.

Back then, there was a period of several years Mays spent as a hard core gamer. He even accomplished everything that a player could accomplished on this character. There was nothing left undone let it be secret quests nor limited time achievements. He didn't missed any of them. Since he was that kind of perfectionist, it was obvious that his archive was missing nothing at all.

Inside his archive, stacks of stone tablets were lined up in every racks available, each and every of them were labelled. There was not even a missing tablets on these racks with a total of five racks in the archive cube.

Weapons rack, Armors rack, Accessories rack, Mounts rack and lastly Spirits rack. Everything inside the archive were stored in stone tablets form. They would change into their real shape after Mays brought them out from the archives. At least, that was how Mays were shown back when HeavensTale was still a game.

HeavensTale had five different rank for items starting from Normal, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and lastly Legend. Archive was used to store each and every rare and above rank of items inside HeavensTale. Since Mays got his archive full, it only meant that there were nothing great in HeavensTale that Mays didn't have the copy of be it weapons, armors or even mounts.

Mays was relieved right after he saw his archive was still full of items just like when he left it months ago. After pondering for quite some time, he then picked the Black Cross Lightning mount tablet and Illusion Cape tablet from their respective racks before he came out from the archive cube.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Black Cross Lightning mount tablets immediately changed into a strong looking black horse right after it exited the archive. The other tablet also changed into a cape right away which was then placed on top of the horse by Mays.

The black horse just stood there as Mays was still not planning on going anywhere yet. This time, Mays unsheathed his Blood Devouring Sword from his waist and pointed it towards nearby tree. The distance between him and the tree was approximately around five meters.

If this was still the game as Mays knew it, then he should still have his skills and also his normal fighting prowess. Back then, he was the one and only Magic Swordsman in HeavensTale. Magic Swordsman was after all a hidden class.

After completing an uber hard secret chained quest which any player could only had one chances of, Mays happened to unlock that hidden class. Obviously, hidden class was way stronger than normal class. There were only a total of eight hidden class in HeavensTale and he was lucky enough to even get one of those eight.

If a normal capped level player could display their hundred percent strength as their full strength, then a hidden class would undoubtedly had around hundred and twenty percent full strength when compared to normal classes.

"Sonic Slash!"

Mays knew that there were no system commands in the world he was currently in. Even when everything was practically the same as the game he knew, apparently this was not that game. This time, Mays imagined how the sword slash was executed while his hand waved the sword as he imagined.

He did shouted the skill name on impulse though. After the slashing motion, a sword wave followed by and landed on the tree where he aimed. The sword wave slashed it into two with ease. Mays grinned as he already grasped the way to utilize his skills and immediately tested out every other skills he had in his arsenal.

After some time, Mays sat on the same oval shaped stone again with a huge smile on his face. He was so pleased with what he just discovered. He could use all the skills he had with ease and he could even control the strength of the attack like a real swordsmaster any way he wanted.

Obviously, as a level one hundred character, all his skills were already on the fourth level, Gold ranked's strength. Even the Sonic Slash earlier, if he was to use his full power on it, the destructive force would be much more devastating than cutting a tree into two.

Mays didn't stop thinking even when he was resting. Even his hand was busy inspecting his space belt as his mind was deep in thought.

Since Mays had a Legend tier space belt, Infinite Space Belt on him, all three of his space slots were way bigger than normal. A normal space belts had around two meters cube of storage space for each slots.

Each rank of space belt had double the size of the previous rank and so on which means the size of the inventory, miscs and material slots on the Infinite Space Belt was over thirty meters each. Since Mays never was fond of keeping crappy gears with him back in the game, his inventory slot was practically empty but his miscs and material slots were fully loaded.

There were countless stacks of potions from a first tier potions to the fourth tier potions in his miscs slot. At least there were ten stacks of each of them. The only reason why Mays kept all these potions even those low level one was mainly because their cool down duration's didn't stacked for each tier.

With all different tier of potions in stock, one can use potions four time which resulted in better survivality. More so for a solo player like him, potions was always a necessity. True that he could summon spirits during dungeon quest but he was always literally alone at outside map.

As for the materials, Mays never did sold any of the materials he got so he had every single materials from the common one to the rarest one inside his material slots. Not to mention that he also had capped gold in his inventory.

He didn't give anything to others either since he barely had any close associates to begin with except his little brother and his close friends. Since these people had no shortage of gold in the game, he had no reason to gift them anything.

"Well then, first things first. I need to scout the area and gather information. Nothing can be done when I didn't have the grasp of things."

Mays calmly wore his illusion cape and immediately rode his black horse. He was quite stunned when he realized he could steer the horse as easily as pulling the reins according to his wills. Maybe because the horse was one of his belonging and shared his wills, it really moved as he wished it would.

Rather than wasting his time to give it any thought, Mays just smiled at how convenient everything was. With the speed of the black horse galloping through the forest, Mays got out of the forest in a matter of minutes.

Despite having the looks of a common breed, this Black Cross Lightning was actually an Epic tier mount. It could even defeat weak opponents like goblins and orcs easily without the need for Mays to fight himself.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mays didn't even know what time it was when he exited the forest. He only noticed it was dawn when he saw the beautiful appearance of orange colored scenery where nearby valley was bathed by the morning sunlight.

After contemplating for the whole night, Mays already accepted the fact that he was now in a different world, teleported here by whatever it was against his will. He was pretty cool about it though. As intelligent as he was, he still believed in illogical things nonetheless.

Previously, the inside of the forest was quite dark but it was not pitch black because he could still see things even though it was not as clear as day. Mays thought it was normal for a dense forest to had that kind of darkness as the trees surrounding the forest were surely way taller than normal trees he had ever seen in his entire life. At the very least, Mays knew that it was already morning here.

The first thing he saw at the outskirt of the dark forest was a river. Mays immediately jumped down and rushed toward the river with haste. The river was clear blue where he could even see the glittering rocks gathered around the riverbed. Mays put together both his hand and cupped some water before he drank them right away.

"Aaaah this is so refreshing."

Soon after, Mays set up a campfire and immediately took out a bunch of Horned Rabbit meat, a low level meat materials from his Infinite Space Belts. He soaked the meat with some oil and scattered a pinch of salt and pepper all over it before he grilled the meat.

A sweet and pleasant fragrant of deliciousness permeated the air as the grilled meat was finally cooked. Mays enjoyed the meat slowly as he chewed the juicy meat over and over again. He even closed both his eyes and savored his every bite.

"God, I never thought I would enjoy eating leisurely in this kind of scenery again my entire life. This is actually quite good."

Mays ate calmly as if he was doing something any normal human would do. Given the situation he was in, nobody in their right mind would be as calm as he was. But from his previous remarks, one would surely catch on the fact that this was not the first time he ate in this kind of situation.

Maybe he had a screw loose somewhere inside his head. Or maybe he never was sane to begin with. Only he himself knew. But in actuality, Mays was always a calm and collected person. Despite his unkempt and lousy appearance most of the time, he had countless secret within his body.

Almost all geniuses were labelled crazy by others, even Einstein himself was one of them. Mays couldn't bother himself with how others saw him but he would at least be true to himself and did whatever he wanted without any restrain.

At the very least, here in this world, even when he had the same looks as he was in the previous world, his strength was in no way comparable to his former one. Currently, he was practically invincible. Even if back on earth he was already outstanding more than other people, he was now way more astonishing.

He had the best physique since he already hit level hundred. Not to mention his hidden class already boosted him way stronger compared to other level hundred beings. With all of his current gear were Legend class items, it wouldn't be a joke if he were to nominated himself as the strongest humans alive.

If this place was actually the same as the game that he used to played, then there were actually less than hundred beings that could actually took his life.

Even in silence, Mays already wrecked his brain to its utmost limits since he arrived at this god knows where place. He already singled out several possibilities that might actually happened to him but he didn't dare to pick the best one out of them all yet.

Reason was, with the limited info he had right now, he didn't want to jump into conclusion too fast. He might drew the conclusion later on after he had gained enough insights needed for him to do so. As of now, he only had one clear mission in minds, which was to look for information.

The current Mays lacked information the most. He didn't even know the basic currency nor the rank of his strength in this world, let alone all the other complicated matters such as politics or maps of national border and so on.

The only thing he knew was that he couldn't live on without interacting with the people here if he wanted to gather all the intels required for him to come to the conclusion. With his calm and collected nature, Mays gradually finished his breakfast without any hint of haste.

With his stomach full, he could think more clearly than before. This time, as he sat in front of the campfire, he keep thinking about whatever he already comprehended about this world so far.

This place was actually a real world to him now, not just some fantasy game world.

He didn't even have those flashy looking HP nor MP bar anymore. In fact, there were no such things as HP, MP nor even stats points. He couldn't check them on occasion like before when this was just a game.

That part did left Mays with some worries but after he looked at the bigger picture, this kind of world was better since everything was not bounded by something like game perimeters anymore. As long as one had the willpower, everything was possible.

Before leaving the riverside, Mays bottled up some water for his future use as he didn't had any water for drink in his Infinite Space Belt. Back in the game, normal water was never an item. Because of that, he never had any reason to store any to begin with.

He was quite lucky since he got several gourd inside his Infinite Space Belt to store those water. After all the gourd were filled up, Mays mounted his black horse and immediately rushed along the river in search of any settlement.

Even middle schooler who was a little versed in geography nor history would knew that early civilization started near water source. A fine, clear flowing river was obviously a good choice for it. After observing the surrounding for some times, Mays already came to a conclusion that the civilization of this world should be the same as in the game.

It was a world which more or less the same as medieval period from earth where most building were built using ceramics, clays and marbles instead of modern construction of concrete, metal and stones. The main reason why Mays came to this conclusion was because there were no sky-scrapper in sight even after he spend hours galloping on his horse.
