Aya stepped into the study and came to a halt in the doorway. She wondered if she had to leave him alone or talk to him. However, the brief hurt that she'd seen from his eyes made her decide to stay.
"She seemed upset. Don't you think you went too far?" Aya attempted to start a conversation with him. She wasn't hopeful that her boss would open up to her. Sara's words must have been too harsh as well that he was left in a state like this.
"She will get over it. She has that man beside her."
Aya frowned. Why couldn't he accept Rion? Rion wasn't that bad in her opinion. He worked diligently with Ririna before, though he didn't talk that much. She only met him twice, but she could see Rion was serious about marrying Sara.
"What about you?"
Lawrence avoided her eyes and turned his gaze to the wall behind her.
"Does it matter?" he said after a long silence.
"Of course. She's your sister. Whatever happens, she will always be your little sister."
"That's the point."
