Darkness
Deep within an endless abyss lay numerous souls. These floating souls of the dead and the new resembles bright blue flames dancing within their own lamps.
All the souls were identical, all except for one.
This soul has a dimmer light, and it's color was a bit more darker than the others, it was an indigo color.
As time passes, the surrounding souls began distancing themselves from the dark soul. Treating the dark soul like a plague.
The dark soul then began expanding, and eventually, it began devouring the other souls into it's form. This set off a large alarm system across the souls in the abyss, which can be seen as the surrounding souls that were not devoured yet flashing into a red color.
These souls created a pattern of red color flickering that seemingly point towards a center, and that is the dark soul that was engulfing the other souls.
However, unfazed by the alarm system, the dark soul grew bigger and bigger and kept devouring.
Until suddenly, in a blink of an eye, similar to a light switch being flipped to open the lights of a room, the background abyss shifted into a white background. Drastically contrasting the extreme void background of the souls earlier.
Everything turned white and bright and every soul began dancing, seemingly delighted that their alarm system worked, to which they stopped doing.
The Dark Soul, in response to the changes in its surrounding, stopped devouring the other souls.
And in an instant, the Dark Soul floated rapidly upwards from its previous position. Like a fish caught in a hook that was immediately brought above the water.

"Waaah" "Waaah"
The cries of a baby fresh out of his mother could be heard.
Reincarnation huh? How cliche...
The reincarnated soul of the previous ruler of earth in another timeline mocks inwardly.
With his baby body and it's senses, his eyesight wasn't that developed yet and so his vision was blurry to the max. However, his hearing and touch was the most sensitive, and so the pain from his sensitive skin and his own cries wrapped the mind of the newborn.
Ah fuck, being a grown ass man inside a baby really humbles huh? This much pain, I wonder how I endured this back in my previous life.
He was shocked and astonished by the amount of pain a baby is subjected to the moment it comes out.
"Oh my, it's a handsome and healthy baby boy"
A voice of what he could only guess was from a nurse spoke.
"It is? Hahhh that made me worry, I thought he was going to be deformed"
The voice of a man, which seems to be his father responded with a sigh of relief.
"Oh would you shut up Shikato! I don't care if he's deformed, he's my baby irregardless"
The voice of a woman, whom he could only guess was from his mother retorted to his father.
Shikato? This name sounds Japanese.
The reincarnated newborn wondered.
"Okay okay I'm sorry Mina, but really it would have been really sad, I'm really glad that he's perfectly healthy. Now we should name him-"
"Yami, name him Nara Yami"
Mina interrupted Shikato's attempt.
Yami? Nara? Where have I heard that second one.... These name all sounds Japanese... No way-
Before he could continue his deduction, he felt a new pair of hands holding him, which startled him.
"Then I guess we should name him Yami then, Yami of the Nara clan"
Shikato declared with conviction.
