Capítulo 70: The broken friendship

I looked at the babies that were peacefully sleeping in their cribs not far away from us. Now they are looking like normal human babies, but with a bit paler skin than humans usually have. And if not take into consideration that they were born two days ago, there was nothing unusual. However, how can we omit those pretty important facts such as fast growth and unknown race? We still don't know who they are, vampires or dhampirs or someone else? There was also one more problem, how to know that? Even if we ask them, they won't answer. So, who knows? 

"One thing we can do for now is to look after them carefully, what they do, what they eat, how fast they grow… However, there's one fact I can tell you for sure they got from us: immortality. They have the same eternity as you and me," Markus suddenly got me in his arms and put me on his knees. I wrapped his neck with my arms, and he looked into the depth of my eyes.
