Why not? I feel as an author you should write what you want motivates you the most. If genshin is burning you out do what everyone else does and take a break. Star rail has a much larger world so honestly the possibilites are endless, i for one would love to see Kenshin and the trailblazer just mess with the world

Konosuba would be a funny one. He would probably get whiplash from the dark and gritty Dark Souls to the comedic and borderline ridiculous Konosuba, like give him insight that not all worlds are depressing and be a nice place to bring Priscilla. Could also be a way for him gain a wish/power up in the world that is not way over the top so that the power scaling in later worlds would be more balanced and not curb stomp everything. Also i don't know what the end goal could be but could be treated more like a short vacation before continuing to a more serious world.

You should take the route you are most passionate about. If you continue the old version but parts if ut keep nagging you then you might not be as motivated to write. But if the rewrite really gets your creativity juice running then why not.

I do enjoy this story quite a bit but after 40+ chapters it feels like very little has happened and characters keep repeating the same backstory with minor extra details each time. Hopefully after laying down the foundation there will be more progress. Thanks for the chapter.
