Krystal ,wake up ....wake up ,Krystal .Laura called as she sprinkled water onto her face .

'Krystal turns her head in her bed and Laura sits beside her rubbing her hands with olive oil .Thank God you are back Krystal ,she said and hugged her ' .

What happened to me ?,she asked Laura when she offered her water to drink and helped her sit on her bed .

Don't you remember ,Laura asked her . Alright then ,this is how it all happened .

******LAURA 'S POV *****
*My queen .....my queen .The guards secured the area and made sure no one left the chamber * .
I was only three steps away from you to bring your shackles when you slipped off and fell from the stairs to the ground .

I quickly made my way down the stairs but I slipped and held on tightly so that I won't fall to the ground .I took off my slippers and got down the stairs slowly .
It was then that ,I along with the other handmaidens began to chant ' my queen ....my queen 'severally but you were lying down unconscious while blood oozed from your head .
The stairs had starch all over and that's why you fell .I asked the handmaidens to clean the stairs as I ordered the guards to help me bring you back to your chamber .
 While I was with you in your chamber ,you were not getting any better and the auspicious time for your ceremony was passing by .I knew the punishment associated with this if you were absent so I called the handmaidens and four guards to carve a harp for you along with your flute .*

But Laura ,how did I come back to life after I fell when you just said that ,my condition was critical . From your statement ,I know that you didn't call the palace herbalist to your aid because you wanted to hide the incidence which had happened .
Hum herbs Myel ....hum  herbs .I mixed the hum herbs with the blood of a slanderer ,chanted some words and poured it through your nostrils to bring you back to life .
 Hum  herbs ? ,but what are those ? ,asked Myel .
They are special leaves used to take control over the body and mind of a person but when you mix it with a slanderer's blood ,it is capable of bringing you back to life .
Not many people know about the existence of these herbs .It is a special herb cultivated only in the night along a stream on the outskirts of the woods which lie three miles from the Ulka kingdom.
Who is the slanderer we are talking about here ?

When you woke up two hours later ,...

*****KRYSTAL POV *****
I took the harp and the flute  along and quickly ran to the ceremonial hall on my wounded feet .
When I got there ,I stopped, as queen Marga mounted the stage and about to start the ceremony .
I then dimly lit all the lights available behind the ceremonial hall and made my way to mount  the stage while everyone 's diverted attention was on the dimly lit light .
To gain everyone "s attention ,I went on my knees and  held the feet of the king as I shed crocodile tears and recited a poem to him .
***LAURA'S POV ***
That was when I lightened the whole place up when everyone 's attention was on your poem .
But how did you come about with that poem because we had planned nothing since you rushed of with the harp and flute when you got up  .
*****KRYSTAL'S POV ***** 
The poem was something I wrote down the first time I was told that ,I'm getting married .Out of the sadness and sorrow ,I put it down in my diary . What I recited in front of everyone wasn't the end .My poem didn't have anything to do with praising the king but I cut it short and added praises to it in his name .
I recited it and began to play the harp .The king loves to hear the sound of the harp and I noticed this the first time I set my eyes on him .He was humming on the rhythms that the harp produced while we were still in Swaji .
But how did you know that ,I play the harp ? 
***LAURA'S POV ***
While looking for your olive oil within your things ,your diary fell down and the first page had the drawing of the harp while it lied downed opened .I took it and saw all the dimensions and musical keys you had made out of the drawing of the harp .In the same way ,I had them carve yours for you because I wanted a reason to cover up for your absence and lateness .I wanted  them to explore the different talents in you .
*****KRYSTAL'S POV *****
The harp was an instrument that my sister and I learnt how to play when we were kids .Our mum taught us .It was her favourite instrument .She would play the harp all day long and sing her melodious melody with her sweet voice .I still remember the joy on her face each time she sang and played the harp,she said while her voice expelled the pain she was feeling out  .
Where is my sister now ? ,she added .
When I began to bleed on my feet ,I couldn't think of anything else .I got everyone's attention in the hall but my heart will only respond when the song reaches out to the one whom it truly belongs .
The last thing I remember is that ,I retorted against the king and he raised his sword at my neck, then why am I still alive then, Laura ? did he suddenly feel compassion for me ?*
No ,Laura answered .Yes ,you retorted against the king yesterday when you fell at his feet on your injured feet but it WAS ONLY IN YOUR IMAGINATIONS NOT YOUR ACTIONS .

Pag ka-uwi ko sa bahay as usual walang tao kundi ako lang. Nakakatawang isipin na ang laki-laki ng bahay namin pero lagi akong mag-isa. Paheras busy si mommy at daddy sa work nila, dati may mga kasambahay kami kaso mas komportable ako pag mag-isa lang kaya ayun pinaalis nalang ni Daddy.
Naka higa na ko sa kama habang iniisip kung anong mang yayari sa bukas. Nakaka-excite pumasok araw-araw lalo na pag may insperasyon ka para pumasok.

The activities began.

The station head chuckled and then had a look at them, but still pointed to Xu Yipeng in the end."Since Little Xu asked first, I will give it to him."
The others could only watch with regret.
Meanwhile, Xu Yipeng, Chen Ye, and a few others were beaming with joy."Thank you, Station Head." Then they turned around and instructed one of the staff members,"Frame it up properly when we get back so that we can hang it up in the office space!"
This act of gifting by the station head had left Yan Tianfei and the people of Department 14 with a peculiar expression.

The standard was very low, but Xu Yipeng, Chen Ye, and many others were still praising and flattering his writing for a long time. But to Zhang Ye, it was simply too ridiculous. A layman might not be able to see it, but how could Zhang Ye not be able to differentiate between good or bad?
Urged on by her boyfriend's encouragement, Department 14's Huang Dandan also went forward to try. Huang Dandan's writing was surprisingly quite good as she wrote a seven character poem by one of the great ancient poets of this world. From the ancient times, it was one of the fixed-tone tunes anyone could fill in with the appropriate words. Spring in Qin Garden already existed in this world prior and was also referred to as a ci tune. The poem Shuidiao Getou, which Zhang Ye had written during the Mid-Autumn Festival Poetry Meet, was also based on this tune and this established history did not differ much from his previous world.
Of course, the poem that Xu Yipeng wrote was not his original composition, and neither was he capable of doing so. This "Spring in Qin Garden: Plum" was written by an ancient poet of this world who wasn't too well known. As such, not a lot of people had came across it before. Unlike Zhang Ye's previous world, there were not too famous works based on Spring in Qin Garden in this world. Among all the ci tunes passed down from ancient times, Spring in Qin Garden was considered to be one of the least known ones. There were hardly any good works using this tune, and if one did not research on this topic professionally, they might not even know that a ci tune like Spring in Qin Garden existed."Spring in Qin Garden: Plum" might even possibly be one of the more well-known ones, as there was a historical story that mentioned it. Xu Yipeng moved his brush around suavely as he wrote out the poem.

The poem was very lengthy and Xu Yipeng was fully focused on writing for a long time. Perhaps because of the presence of so many leaders, or because of the station head gifting his writing to him, Xu Yipeng was more roused. He wished to perform to his best and was so engrossed that beads of sweat started forming on his temples—which of course also had to do with the fact that the event hall's internal heating was too strong.
"Good writing, the poem is very good too!"

The station head walked over and admired the calligraphy piece for a long time. Then, he nodded and declared,"Good calligraphy!"
Xu Yipeng said humbly,"It can't compare to yours."
The station head shook his head and laughed."It's much better than mine. I saw your calligraphy a few years ago. Your calligraphy is probably considered one of the best among the amateur calligraphy hobbyists!"
Jiang Yuan added,"It's even comparable to that of a professional's!"
Was there a hidden meaning to that?
A professional?
Some people looked at Zhang Ye.
Ha Qiqi was a little hesitant, but she asked Zhang Ye quietly,"Director Zhang, Xu Yipeng's calligraphy looks rather good. Are you…" She did not know how to appreciate calligraphy nor claimed to understand it much.
Zhang Zuo, Tong Fu, and the others also did not know what would be considered good or bad, but when they heard the station head saying that he admired Xu Yipeng's writing, they also lost some of their confidence.
When Zhang Ye heard that, he chuckled."It is indeed quite good."
Little Wang responded,"Then what about your calligraphy? How does it compare to his?"
Compared to his?
Compared to Xu Yipeng's?
Zhang Ye did not say anything. He really did not know how he would answer that question, because if he did, it would make him feel like he was degrading himself!

"Traveling through universes cannot be done by mere humans with current status of technology we have. But that doesn't conclude the impossibility. Science researchers from all over the world are now finding a solution to get this done — are you the first person to travel through universe? Let's interview Naru—" Turning the television off, I finish my cereal bowl and get myself changed. It's almost 7:30 so I need to get going. After getting things done by then, I locked my apartment and headed straight to the station.


"Good morning! Aiken-san?" 

I glanced over at Sou, waving his hand to my direction as I watch him drag his enormous amount of luggages. Wearing a plain of white shirt matching his denim ripped pants and white sneakers, the boy took his energy to drag his feet with three amount of excess bags towards me.

"What the... Why are you carrying too much bags?" I asked him.

"A-aah...! One bag for clothes, one for foods and the other are my things like camera and notebooks."  he answered.

'This boy is crazy.' I thought to myself as I shake the thought off. I don't expect anything from him anyway.

I just nodded and signaled him to follow me as I walk into the train. Looking around the quiet area, I noticed that there are only few people around. 

A family of three, a high school girl with her grandmother and couples are seen. I might come out as creepy but I am extremely keen and observant of the things around me.

'Two, four, six, eight, ten and twelve.' 

There's only twelve people visible to my sight. I wonder why, but my guesses are due to the lockdown that gives the citizen limited time to explore. I still do not understand what causes the sudden lock down, but I don't have time to conclude that. So it is predictable that these people inside this very train must have had an important reason to go to Hokkaido. 

Sitting next to the window, a poster next to the wall caught my attention. It has letters written in English alphabet. I can understand English very well, but the odd poster did not really caught my interest. 

8:00 

I can feel the train started moving above the trails slow and gentle. In a matter of fact, we are the last of passengers to be in this train for the next of months.

A faint yelling then soon being heard as a familiar young lady jump her way into the inside of the train— not to mention, bumping her head to a railing. 

Wearing a purple blouse and skirt, too much make ups and unnecessary hair designs, I could immediately tell.

'Michiko Takahashi?'

What is she doing here? Why is she catching on the train to go to Hokkaido? Could it be possible that their agency also received the same report that we have? No. That's not it, she don't appear to look like going anywhere for work.

I keenly observed the young gal. 

A shoulder bag that is irrelevant, high pink heels and freshly applied cuticles— not to mention the hair. She's more likely going to a date rather than work.

"S-S-S-SOU?!" she exclaimed, running towards our seat with wide eyes.

Sou, huh? They know each other?

"Michiko! It's you!" 

'Uh...'

Takahashi soon then took her seat right in front of ours with eyes wide opened. "I can't believe it! You know each other?" she added... and again with her unnecessary flustered face.

"I'm his assistant and we're heading to Hokkaido for w—" 

"Trip. A vacation." I bluntly cut in between words. She then swift her gaze towards mine then again, with the unnecessary flustered cheeks of course— she nodded excitedly.

'Sou, you imbecile!'

Due to the lack of sleep last night, I then soon after feel the weight of the world upon me. I laid back to my seat, closing my eyes in depths of falling asleep.

"Owie? What's this?" 

"Oh my God! What's that?! Is that a deer? Oh deer. Hahaha!"

"Baka, that's obviously goat. Mweeeehehe!"

"You guys have foods? I'm starving!"

"Why are you up to Hokkaido by the way?"

I can feel my vein popping and beating in my forehead. It's been an hour or so, and I did not merely rest at all. I'm fixed with two emotions right now— pissed but collected.

I sigh to myself and shook the irrelevant thought off my mind.

'Kids.'

I glance out of the window in order to enjoy the beautiful scenery to at least take my mind off the annoying brats— but unexpectedly, it is raining heavily outside and the raindrops are fogging up the mirror.

I sigh to myself and goes back to rest my lazy ass. I guess I'm too unlucky having these kids around me. I close my eyes once again and tried to calm myself in despite the loud yelling coming from my own companions. 

"Woah woah woah, look!" Michiko shouted, soon after I heard a scratching sound of paper — they did not rip the poster off the wall, did they?

"Look out for the platform
Before you alight,
For if by mischance
You stepped into the night,
On the side of the train
That's away from the station,
You might not arrive
At your true destination."

I feel my ears twitching as I eavesdropped the two's conversation. I'm not interested, but I got nothing else to do so might as well baby-sit these two. 

"On this side's a platform
But who can be sure,
Where you'd be if you chanced
To step out by that door?
On this side lights, luggage
The name of some place,
On the other side, nothing
But darkness and space."

"On this side is Reading—
Or Tooting— or Epping—
But you might on the other side
Find yourself stepping,
Right into a land
Where the moon shines all day,
Where horses have fins
And the sharks live on hay."

'Sharks live on what?' 

I can't help but smile at how ridiculous the poem is.  Hearing the thunderstorm from the outside, I soon then open my eyes only to be greeted by the heaviest rainstorm. I must say that this might be the craziest weather I have had experience. 

I just hope to not regret coming here today.

"Where you watch out at night
For the terrible whale,
Who comes galloping after you
Threshing his tail—
Where the sirens sing ballads 
And play on guitars,
Where apples and walnuts
Shine brighter than stars."

I felt the thunderstorm became louder and louder, carelessly aiming nowhere, it can hit our train anytime— and it did. One side of the train has been stricken by thunderstorm — having it caught on a fire, making the fewest of people flinch and scream in terror.

My mouth gapped opened as I got off my seat, "Get away from the fire!"

"So look out for the platform
Before you alight
For if by mischance
You step into the night,
By the door that would lead you
Straight on the track,
It's a thousand to one
You would never come back."

"THIS POEM!" I gasp loudly as I watch the train split in two— making the side we are in aimlessly continues to drive through, leaving the other side of the train left unmoving.

The scream of terror coming from person to person deafened my ears, I stood there frozen.

'What is happening? Am I dying?'

My eyes widened in terror and in shock. There are two emotions inside of me right now— scared that someone in this very train will die, and confused about what the hell is happening— what the hell are Sou and Michiko doing? It feels like the poem itself are responsible for... no. 

I'm going insane.

'This poem, I'm confident enough that I had heard this before.' 

"W-WHAT IS HAPPENING?" hearing that Michiko and Sou finally back to there senses, I can't help but feel relieved. They had been staring at that piece of poster.

"AAAH!" a young girl's voice right across our seat are loud enough to destroy my ear drums— but that is not the point here. I can sense how terrified she is right now so I run towards her to calm her down. I can tell that she is a high school student — around the age of 16 to 17.

 Hugging me as tight as possible, she sobbed on my chest. "G-grandma..!!" 

I look around, anxious and afraid of what might happen. Michiko and Sou are now freaking out, as if they just casted a spell right after reading out loud the poem. There are only five people left— including myself, Sou, Michiko and the young girl. 

I hold the girl's shoulder and look into her watery eyes, "Wait for me, alright?" 

I took my time to go to the front part of the train, might as well try to stop the train from moving when a sudden light blinded me off. I fall down and hit my head onto something—

And I passed out.
