"I doubt that it is possible. My husband once bought us a pair and I know that they work very specifically. It is impossible to connect them to other people's magical mirrors, since they are made by different enchanters and have different charms, even if the function is similar," said the old lady's friend arrogantly. She appeared to be very confident when speaking on this subject, however her companion wasn't convinced.

"They are even advertising that they will return the fees if what they are saying isn't true," she argued heatedly. Her friend just snorted with disbelief, however, she still carefully read the poster which was hanging on one of the windows.

Around the big white building, which was just next to the Gringotts bank, a crowd could be seen gathering. They enthusiastically discussed the magical mirrors and the new store's opening, which would happen on the next day. 

"Wow, they will be returning funds if the magical mirrors don't work?" said one brightly dressed wizard, eerily resembling Dumbledore, with some disbelief.

Another person shook his head, expressing doubt, and commented: "Have you seen what it says at the bottom? In the future the mirrors will have other functions, such as sending messages through them. Does it mean that we will no longer need owls? How does that even work?!"

"Ah!!! I am too stupid! I don't understand, how will I find out my friend's number if I cannot call them to ask?" asked one young lady, who had been squinting at one of the posters for the past 10 minutes. Her boyfriend, who has been standing by the side the whole time and tapping his foot on the ground, impatiently answered:

"You really are stupid! Just floo and ask them! You can also send an owl with your own number and when they call, they will tell you their number."

The lady wasn't angered, seemingly used to her companion's temperament. She idly continued to talk, as though she didn't notice her boyfriend's impatience: "But look at how much they cost! The minimum cost is 3 galleons and if the calls exceed 100 minutes per month, we have to pay 1 knut for each additional minute? What if we don't pay?"

A sigh of exasperation could be heard. The lady's boyfriend really wanted to know how he came to like this slow-minded girl. "Don't you see what's written in front of you? They can disable your mirror until you pay up!"

"That's just ripping people off!"

"Well, it is apparently hard to maintain the whole network, so they are doing it because they don't want to 'crash' it, whatever that means..." came the uncertain answer for the first time during their conversation. 

An old and flair wizard, sitting on a floating chair, heard the pair's talk and interrupted: "I bet that's hogwash - they just want to earn some money! Though the whole set up does seem to require some very specific magic... However, the mirror is more convenient than standing on the knees in front of a fireplace. At my age I cannot even floo-call my friends, cause none of us want to damage our knees. Even cushioning charms don't help much!" The old man sighed and floated away.

Meanwhile, the impatient young wizard was thoughtfully considering: "Actually, when thinking about the costs, if the mirrors work as advertised, then they should be cheaper in long term than buying an owl and their food or constantly buying floo-powder. Did you see the price increases? It's like they think we have bottomless pockets!" 

His girlfriend shook her head with disappointment - her companion was too money-conscious, no wonder he worked in the Finance department of the Ministry!

The day of Dragon Enterprises first store's opening wasn't very lively or bright. As it was already the first day of December, the unpredictable English weather made itself known by raining small droplets one minute and stopping the next. There was even some light mist, spreading along the streets and blocking the sight.

However, despite the unpleasant time of the year and the inconvenience, a lot of people still lined up at the front of the new store, which hasn't even opened its doors yet. This was because the poster, hanging by one of the store's windows, clearly said that the first 100 customers will get a deal of buying one mirror and getting another one for free. This kind of service would be available only on the opening day! How could curious witches and wizards not gather?

"I can hardly wait any longer, it's almost 9 a.m., do they not see us? Why are they not opening up?"

"I had to recast the drying charm for the third time today, and the day hasn't even properly started yet!"

Grumbles and complaints could be heard from the people standing in line, however no one left. Soon the Dragon Enterprises opened its doors and the people rushed in - it was hard to tell whether they wanted to get away from the rain or were eager to see the new products.

"Oh, finally!"

"Ah, it's so warm and bright inside!"

"Let's see what new stuff they got!"

As soon as people entered, they were instantly mesmerized by the shop's elegant interior. The salesmen and salesgirls respectfully greeted the first customers and led them around the store, explaining that there were no real differences between mirrors yet, aside from them having different frames and casings. 

Wizards were mostly happy with simple and cheap versions - made with common wood or metal frames. On the other hand, ladies' eyes were shining while looking at mirrors which had pretty carvings or colors. Most could only sigh wistfully after seeing those, which were made from gold, silver or expensive wood and even had gems encrusted. However, every mirror had one thing in common - be they cheap or expensive, they were all done very well and looked quite elegant, with the symbol of the curling dragon at the back.

"It doesn't matter, as long as it's usable," said an old wizard. His wife disagreed, "What usable? What cheap? All you know is to save money! My neighbor over there is buying a mirror with silver frames and carved flowers, yet you want to buy me the one made out of wood? How will I be able to face her in the future!" The old wizard could only give up - his wife didn't care that the wood was also expensive and the carvings were very beautiful -  he had to get either silver or golden one for her.

Considering the exclusive deal of 1+1, witches and wizards didn't hesitate to choose different mirrors for themselves and their partners, friends and children. Especially since they were repeatedly assured by the staff that the money would be returned if the products didn't work as advertised. 

A lot of customers bought more than two mirrors, so the store's staff was very busy. There was a long line forming from the counter throughout the whole store, so the buyers were given queue numbers and were thus allowed to rest on the couches by the side, while they waited.

There was also a line to register names to contact numbers, which was a bit shorter but still quite long.

In the end, the first day of business was very successful for the Dragon Enterprises and the next day the Dragon Mirrors were already in the news.

Draco was very happy to see that the mirror network was working as intended and even though his staff did make some mistakes by accidentally registering wrong contact numbers to the wrong names, those things were not too serious and were quickly sorted out. 

The young entrepreneur was especially pleased by the article in Daily Prophet, for which his father (obviously) paid for. It praised not only the young boy, who was the company's founder, but also the mirror network - as the new magical innovation of the century!

"Nooooova come on! You gotta come out at some point!" Trix yelled at me as I stood barricaded in the dressing room.

"Hell, NO! What in this world or the one you apparently live in, made you think I'd wear.....THIS....to the Ball?" I yelled back, just as heated.

"Oh my Goddess girl, get out here! I wanna see!"

"No, I can't. People will see me."

"I'ma count to 3 and if you're not out here, I'ma make the call."

I gasped audibly.

"YOU...WOULDN'T...DARE!" I threw back at her as I poked my head from behind the dressing room door.

If looks could kill, she'd have been 3-month-old roadkill! She crossed her arm's and gave me an "I'll do it!" kinda look. I rolled my eyes then gave one final huff as I slowly and very begrudgingly stepped out from behind my makeshift shield. Trix's eyes lit up as I slumped over to the mirror's and winced at what I saw. This has got to be the absolute skimpiest dress, I don't even think it can qualify as a dress really.

"You look H-O-T girl!" Trix squealed as she clapped her hands together.

"I look like a hooker....a CHEAP hooker."

"What? Nov, ain't no hooker within 1000 miles that could even afford to LOOK at this dress!" she clicked her tongue as I rolled my eyes and made my way back over to the safety of the dressing room again. Once inside, I slumped against the door, closing my eyes as I slid to the floor.

What was I thinking. I should have known better than to let Trix pick out my dress. The blazing red leather that barely covered my boobs and DIDN'T cover my ass as evident in the reflection in the mirror in front of me, practically screamed "I'M EASY!" and "COME GET ME BOYS." Suddenly I felt something tickle my head. I looked up to see a dress hanging from the top of the door.

"Ugh...another one Trix? I think we should just call it a day." I moaned as I pushed myself off the floor. We'd been here for hours already and even the boys were trying to find me the perfect dress, just so we could leave!

No reply, odd. It's not like Trixa to keep her comments to herself. I opened the door just a crack, Trixa was nowhere to be seen. Sighing, I closed the door and flipped the lock. I eye'd the dress hanging in my face. It didn't look horrible.....Really nice Purple color to it too. I shrugged my shoulders as I twisted and contorted myself out of the red leather condom I was currently wearing and slipped almost perfectly into the new dress. When I turned to see myself in the mirror I gasped aloud. I look...I looked...amazing! I've never in all my life felt so beautiful. I unlocked the dressing room door and threw it open as I began to strut out of the little room and towards the mirrors.

"Daaaaaaaaamn!" Trixa gasped as she came up behind me.

"I know right? This is crazy! I don't...I don't know what to say! Where did you find this thing?" I asked her as I beamed at myself in the mirror. I looked over my shoulder to see her brows furrow in confusion.

"Nov, I didn't do this."

"Huh? Wait, didn't you throw it over the door just a few minutes ago? I asked as I half turned back to her.

"Nope, I'd have kept this beauty for myself. Though honestly, I don't think I'd have filled it out as good as you do!"

"Well if you didn't do it then, who did?" I asked as I turned back to the mirrors. The dress was long sleeved Deep purple lace that faded to black as it fell and pooled around my feet. The back was cut all the way to the lower half of my lower back, While the neckline was cut into a moderate V-slit. Exposing just enough cleavage to entice you to come closer. I was in love...with a dress!

"Come on, let's change and go grab a bite to eat, I'm starving! Make sure you bring that dress to the cashier, We'll find out who slipped it to ya." Trixa said as she entered her own dressing room.

Once inside, changed and back out again I handed the dress off to Grayson who promptly gave it to Buck and told him to go pay. He handed him my credit card as I reminded him to ask who had put it in my dressing room along with the designer's details. I was definitely going to use him/her again! Maybe to design a certain wedding dress? Who knows. Trixa stayed back with Buck as Grayson and I went to the food court to snag some grub for everyone.

"Shit. I don't have enough cash for all of us and Bucks got my card right now. Gray, you have daddy's card?" I asked. That's the level of trust G-Man has earned over the years. He has all daddy's extra cards in case we ever lose ours or forget them.

"Yea, You find seats I'll pay for the food." He said in his deep baritone.

"Cool, look, there's a booth there. I'll snag it." I said as I bounced away.

Trixa and Buck came back into view a few minutes later. Buck joined Grayson and I waved Trixa to me.

"So, what did ya find out?" I asked eagerly.

"You're not gon' like it." She said in a wary tone.

"Huh? Ok?"I said suspiciously.

"The cashier was completely oblivious. She had no idea where the dress came from. That's what took us so long. She called her manager who also had no clue where the dress came from, so she called the store owner then texted her pictures of the dress. She had no idea either. So we paid for my dress and asked for a bag for that one and here we are. Nov, I don't like this. It seems....odd, like, real odd!"

But, I had stopped listening. I cut my eye's towards the main entrance of the mall. Time slowed and suddenly it was like I had tunnel vision. Everything began to blur as a lone silhouette of a tall, very broad man began walking towards me. I felt Trixa grab my arm and try to move me but I was frozen to the spot. I felt my powers come to life as the figure came closer. Trixa began shaking me harder, She was saying something but it was so muffled I couldn't make it out. I felt my body begin to pulse with the vibration of my power. Suddenly the figure faded away as I was jerked from my seat and pressed against something hard. Then all went black.

The very first one arrived swiftly.
A red-eyed demon was rampaging down the halls on all fours. Completely different from the monsters that plagued her nightmares but all the same nonetheless. Its wrangly hair covered its face except for the eyes that glowed bright red and the hunched figure moved faster than the creature she had encountered in the city.
"Can't you see it?" She asked and shook her head as she groped for the mirror. 'The Truth Lies Beyond One's Reflection' It didn't budge. It wouldn't budge. Why wasn't it revolving?!
No no no.
She kicked at it and it didn't crack.
This wasn't suppose—
Mockery.
She turned around to see it leaping across the grounds towards them, maul opened wide—
Gen yawned and stretched his arms, his fist colliding with the creature. It crashed into one of the mirrors and it shattered. "What the fu—?!" Gen cursed as he stepped away from the mirror shards, oblivious to the monster pricked with the glass. "What cheap glass, seriously."
"You know what, let's go." Chan Lee grabbed Suyin's wrist and started tugging her along. She kept her gaze straight ahead of them. It couldn't be seen. Or they couldn't see.
It didn't matter that she could.
There was still hope.
All she had to was—she jerked away as several others arrived and blocked their path. They were like a cross of a ghoul and an animal, sniffing and growling as several of the creatures prowled the hallway. Stalking its prey. Waiting for somebody to break down.
Pretend.
Pretend.
Close her eyes. As if they weren't there—
Something hit her face, she opened to see the gaping vortex that was the creature's mouth screeching at her—disgusting slobber splattering her face. Her eyes widened in shock before she pulled Suyin sideways, sidestepping the creature without turning to look back. She smiled and made conversation. "I mean, Xiaobo and Mei should be alright. If they wanted to have alone time together—let them be."
"Do you really think that's what they're up to?" Suyin asked, doubt apparent in her voice.
Gen staggered into their backs, "Oops, tripped over nothing." He was following behind them and Chan Lee was relieved to hear his voice.
Although she doubted that he had tripped on nothing.
"Aren't you clumsy?" Suyin grouched and stepped forward, dragging them forward uncaring of the creatures that surrounded them.
This conversation, Chan Lee's throat felt dry. Saliva trickled down her throat as she gulped and ignored the abominations that they were walking through. Really, they weren't being harmed unlike the time in the city. Where everyone disappeared—this time she was with Suyin and Gen. This was completely different than before. She blinked and tried to keep her eyes from watering.
She was hallucinating.
That was it.
She wasn't delirious enough.
How she wished that she could forget all about that.
"Hey, Chan Lee? Your bracelet's missing beads?" Suyin thankfully had been unnaturally receptive to her desire to leave this place. Nodding to their joined hands, "Did you get tangled somewhere?"
Chan Lee found her voice, even more piped down than usual. "Must be because of overuse."
Would they really ignore her and the group if they kept their head down, until they reached the entrance once again?

Two steps.
Take a deep breath.
She could do this.
Her gaze flitted to the mirrors around them and there were only themselves, the creatures around them were naught. Not to be seen or displayed at all.
'Look Beyond The Reflection To See The Truth'

Amidst all of that, red light burst out in a spectacle of showers and the creatures around them recoiled back—some even disintegrating while others howled back into the halls retreating. And then, something clamped her legs. She screamed. It was one of the monsters gnawing at her leg, a sweltering hot pain that made her see dark. 
"Chan Lee?" Suyin's voice rose in alarm.
She let go of Suyin's hand and stumbled into the closest mirror, crashing her leg ( and the creature's head ) into the surface.
It was a bad idea, the creature's teeth sunk deeper into her flesh. She bit back a hiss of pain and jabbed her other foot on the creature's head—pushing it away and attempting to crush its head in the process.
It gave out far too easily than she expected it to be.
Black blood spilled out along with rotten flesh that fumed her nose.
"Chan Lee!" Suyin shouted, uncaring or unobservant with how it shook their surroundings. "What's happening with you?"
What's wrong with you?
Chan Lee averted her gaze from Suyin's and Gen's. "I-I'm having a bit of a breakdown." She clutched her head and shut her eyes. "It's this place… it's too tight and enclosed. I'm sorry, we shouldn't have gone inside here. I'm ruining all the fun."
The young woman's voice mellowed down. "Chan Lee…"
"Well you heard the girl, let's get her out." Gen shook his head and approached her, before she could say anything else—he picked her up, bridal style. "You should have told us if you were claustrophobic." He chided and nodded towards Suyin, passing his phone to her. "Let's go."
Suyin stared for a moment before pinching the bridge of her nose and walking forward ahead of them. "Should have expected that Gen would pull on the moves at the slightest stuff."
"Hey, we move faster this way." Gen shrugged, uncaring of the retort. "If you want, you can hop on my back." He gave her a grin.
"You're not Xiaobo. Besides, what do you want to prove?" Suyin tsked and shook her head. They began walking back to the entrance, heading through the same direction until she saw the same shattered debris on the ground.
The place where she broke the mirror and everything turned dark—the gaping hole still stood there, even darker than their already black surroundings. 
"Put me down." She whispered to Gen, her gaze not faltering at the pitch darkness.
The guy probably made a voice as he replied, "Huh?"
"I'm fine." Chan Lee finally scrambled down from his arms, her gaze enraptured behind them. She could still hear them, see them.
Within the darkness, inside that hole—something writhed.
Her gaze dropped down to her bracelet, the beads were really depleting in number. One vanished before her very eyes. The air around her grew denser and thicker, an aura that suffocated her lungs.
She moved forward, closer to the nightmares that dared to appear when she was awake.
But not before she ripped the bracelet from her wrist and threw it out towards the hall—the beads scattered onto the floor, bouncing and splitting into different directions.
It was certainly not her imagination as they flung themselves into several paths.
Several flew into the first mirror that cracked and disappeared.

Chan Lee inched away from him as she tried to find better words than yesterday, she had to let him know why this wasn't exactly good, “You’re starting to get comfortable being in the same bed as me, you know?”

Wang Yong filled out this documents but some things he wasn't sure how to fill out like, Current address, Proof of assets, and Business license so he left some things blank. he couldn't really tell people he lived in the mountains in a hidden sect no one should know about that creates ancient weapons and relics.
Wang Yong Yang was finished after a  good 30 minutes of going through documents and such, and then walked up to the counter and gave the paper to the lady.

Wang Yong seemed to be somewhat  sleeping so Li Qiang just pulled out one of his novels and started reading, While Li Qiang was reading he was thinking about how Wang Yong never mentioned anything about the ring on his hand, mabye he just didn't notice.
some time later a maid wearing a black uniform like a half dress, tuxedo with a rose on her chest pocket and a small triangular hat on her head. The maid had ice white skin like translucent jade, she was quite tall for a woman, about 5"9".
The lady said "Hello your Apartment is ready" in a loud but soft tone, she was very polite.  Wang Yong awoke.  
"Come on Li Qiang lets follow her to our new home." Wang Yong and Li Qiang started following the lady to their room. 
of course they just walked to the elevator and the lady said" just click the top button with the word suite next to it, then swipe your card" while standing next to the elevator.
Elevator music played in the background as they slowly rised up to the top of the 30 floor building. Li Qiang just hummed to the music.  
Ding! 
The door to their new home slowy opened.
Li Qiang Exclaimed "This is Home ?!" while he looked at a large open room with huge windows, a white quartz fireplace already lit, a large white leather couch, Rich looking carpet, rugs and grey wooden floors. large modern chandeliers hanged from the ceiling. a large kitchen with an island, fancy polished white wood cabinets. a large curved 4k 70inch TV, a library. and a staircase that lead to the next floor. 
Even Wang Yong was surprised it was so luxurious, even better then in the pictures, and only $2800 a month why had no one else lived here for this cheap? Wang Yong thought. Li Qiang and Wang Yong made their way up stairs while they admired their new home.
 It was almost 9pm and Wang Yong found the master bedroom upstairs and said  to li Qiang"This is my room, go pick yours" then passed out on the california king casper mattress which was more comfortable then anything. 
Li Qiang found a nice room it even had it's own bathroom like the master. it had tall grey carpet that was very soft and a nice full sized bed with white pillows and grey covers. Li Qiang jumped the bed and passed out after this long day of excitment.

The Cultivator realm has gone into chaos. The Liu family has been attacked.

       The door slammed shut in front of them and Garrick finally raised his head in shock. "We didn't leave the front door open." 
       "No, we really didn't," Samuel snapped before dragging the man up to his feet. "We need to bail." 
       "What? Why?" Garrick snapped before he looked over Samuel's shoulder and froze. Like he'd been frozen on the spot. He didn't even dare breath. Instead, he raised a hesitant finger up towards the stairs and opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but he just couldn't find out the words. 
       "Garrick," Samuel snapped, grabbing his shoulder before dragging him towards the door. "Come on!" 
       "It's my mom," Garrick whispered as he stepped closer to the creature. "But she's…"
       Something tumbled down the stairs. Plop, plop, plop and rolled past their legs. Samuel grabbed on tighter to the boy in front of him only to watch the creature at the top of the stairs change. It wasn't the same rotten fleshed woman. Instead… it was Garrick's mom. The police reports had said her head had been severed in the accident. The result of being crushed and compacted in their tiny little car. Maybe it wasn't Garrick's mom, because there was no head. The stump where the head used to sit was just a very bloodied spinal column. The thing stepped towards them with raised arms and Samuel dragged Garrick back. There were tears in his eyes and he was desperately trying to form words that made no sense. Grief that never settled. 
       Something that lay discarded by their feet screamed and Samuel stumbled back in shock. The object that had bounced down the stairs was Garrick's mother's head. And it's blood red eyes were wide open and its bloodied mouth was open in a harrowing scream. 
       "WHERE AM I?" The head screeched as it rolled across the floor. Back and forth, back and forth. The scream grated against everyone's nerves, pounding against their skulls. "Garrick! Garrick. Help me. HELP ME!" 
       "Mom," Garrick whispered as the body tumbled down the stairs. The head screeched as it's ruby colored eyes finally settled on Samuel.
       Samuel kept backing up until his back hit the door. He tried the knob only to find that it didn't budge. He grabbed at it desperately before throwing his weight at the door. Whatever that thing was, they had to escape now. But the door just wouldn't budge.
      "Windows," Samuel hissed to himself. He was a goddamn fool. He raced towards one of the three windows in the living room. What was once a nice view would be the one thing that saved them. 
       The second his hands grasped the window, he was blasted backwards into his mother's old recliner chair. He tumbled over the top and brought it down with him. The head lying close to Garrick's feet rolled over to its side and tsked ever so quietly. "Oh dear, he fell down." 
       "You won't open those windows," a child laughed and Samuel's eyes widened as he saw another figure standing at the top of the stairs. 
       This time, it was a young child, maybe 8 or 9. It's blood red eyes had settled on Samuel before it opened its mouth in a pitiful laugh. Except, it's mouth just kept opening long past the jaw's limit. The jawbone cracked the more the boy's mouth opened and all Samuel could see was darkness. And hunger. The kid wore a pair of black shorts and a white button up t-shirt that was impeccably clean. The jet black hair that had covered the boy's head seemed to fall off in large clumps, straight onto the carpet. 
       "I must be on drugs," Samuel whispered before he grabbed his mother's old, wooden chair. 
       She'd been awfully proud of that chair. Her prized chair that only she'd been allowed to sit in at big dinners and parties. Back when they had company, and back before even his mother had believed in the room. 
       He lifted the chair high over his head and swung it with all his might. The chair cracked against the windows like cement and he expected the glass to shatter. It should have, but instead, the chair in his hand broke apart into tiny little wooden fragment. It cut his palm open in a bloody, horrifying mess. They were trapped. They were actually trapped. He hissed as he grabbed a hold of Garrick's arm before dragging him over towards the living room. 
       In the short time he'd tried breaking out, the body had finally risen to its feet. Beneath it sat a large red pool of blood as the creature reached out for its head. It reached out blindly, no pun intended, only to fall short of what it needed desperately. It was almost comical if not for the way the creature screeched at itself. 
       "OVER HERE YOU IDIOT!" The head snapped, but without ears, the body couldn't find itself. 
       The child's mouth closed finally and it grinned at the pair before skipping down the stairs in excitement. 
       "Fuck," Samuel cursed, and he never cursed. Well. At least, in his mother's house he never cursed. They were going to die, just like the idiots in the many horror movies Samuel had seen as he was growing up. 
       He glanced down at his feet only to find another shard of the mirror. He snatched it up desperately before holding the piece up. Once more, the mirror didn't reflect what was in front of it. It reflected the door, and how the blasted thing was still opened. It almost seemed as if the thing was being held open and more and more dark creatures seemed to be crawling free. A dark fog-like object seemed to be forming just outside the door's reach, like a portal almost. A bright flash of light shot out of it and ricocheted off the cheap wallpaper before landing close to where Samuel stood. 
      "COME!" The voice hissed and this time, Samuel listened. 
      He yanked Garrick with him, only the boy seemed to still be in shock. Samuel slapped him hard right upside the head and it was enough to wake the boy up. He gasped in shock before he settled his gaze on the monster that was just starting to near him and then on Samuel. The second he took his attention away from the thing in his mother's skin, it started to change back to its original form. The woman that walked on all fours. 
       She picked up the head finally and rammed it onto the spinal cord with a sickening clud before she twisted her head towards them. That ugly, rotten mouth opened up once more with a horrifying screech. 
       "What is that?" Garrick screeched. "Is this a dream, because I don't remember watching a horror movie with you!" 
       "Not a dream, come on!" Samuel replied before they chased after the small beam of light. It led them through the living room before diving towards the very last room at the hall. 
       The kitchen's lights flickered as they passed and the washer started up beside them with a clud. They could hear tiny little ticks against the tiled floors and could only hope that the monsters weren't actually chasing after them. They chased after the ball of light desperately before slamming the door behind them. The lock clicked and suddenly a second lock, a dead bolt even, slammed into place. Garrick grabbed the nearest object, a sturdy dresser, to push past the door. Who knew how long it would actually hold before they were had. 
       Samuel tried to catch his breath right before the beating against the door started. He could hear them screeching outside, desperately, demanding to be let in. The child cackled and stuck its tiny fingers underneath the door. The dresser just barely hid the ghostly pale digits before they were gone. 
       "What's going on?" Garrick snapped, but his face seemed ghastly pale. His hands trembled so he tightened them into a fist and sat down on the old bed in the far corner. 
       Samuel finally took a look around and realized just where he was. The bed that Garrick had sat on was old and dusty with slightly discolored pillows all propped up into one corner. A blue and green patchwork quilt lay over the bed's surface with a singular stuffed animal tucked into the bottom corner of the bed. It's tiny elephant face had been faded by the constant sunlight that streamed in through the window that sat just inches away from the foot of the bed. Samuel stepped over to the window and pulled the blinds up. 
       Dust rained in through the window and sunlight filtered in. 
       "Wait… it's supposed to be dark. Those things… they don't walk through the house in the day light." 
       "They can, if the door is opened." The orb of light stated before it turned blindly white. A singular form materialized right before them. 
       She was a middle aged woman with greying hair all tied up into a bun. She wore a simple black dressed that kissed her ankles gently and covered her arms all the way to the wrists. The cut on the chest was modest and not over the top. It was the same dress his mother had been buried in. 
       This was his mother's room. The one room he'd never been allowed into. There were pictures on the mantle and some of the pictures that had sat on the dresser had dropped off to the floor and lay shattered at their feet. He squatted down beside it and picked up the tiny little photo amongst the rest of the shatter glass. It was of him, when he was 12 and he'd won a spelling bee despite being in special classes most of his life. No one else had believed in him, but his mom… she'd always rooted for him back then. 
       Samuel set the photo on the dresser before looking back towards Garrick. All along the walls were multitudes of mirrors of all sizes. They weren't cracked like the mirrors in the box, but Samuel eyed them warily regardless. They seemed positioned to avoid contact with sunlight, but the more he looked into them, the more he could see the other mirrors in the reflections. He glanced towards the ghost before pointing at the mirrors. 
       "I suppose you want explanations," She sighed before sitting on the bed. Garrick got up quickly and stood beside Samuel without a second thought. 
       "I want an explanation for everything, because you were dead. D-E-A-D with the double D. People don't come back from the dead." 
       Garrick's mouth opened in shock. "It's your mom?" 
       Samuel nodded before glaring at the woman. "Explain, or I swear to god I'll wake up or walk out or something. I don't care. What the fuck is going on in this house?" 
       His mother cringed before she folded her hands in her lap. If Samuel looked at her directly, she almost seemed solid. It almost seemed like if he reached out and grabbed the sleeve of her dress, he'd feel real, actual material. But he'd also seen them close the casket with her very dead and very embalmed body before lowering her into the ground. She was buried out on Pilot Hill, right underneath the oldest pine tree in the graveyard. Her grave marker had been one of the cheaper granite plagues that had cost him close to $1500. She was dead. 
       But here she was, sat on the bed in the one room that Samuel was never allowed in. Save for the Room. And what had been inside the Room was just outside their door now. He could hear them cackling and knocking. Sometimes polite, and then sometimes they pounded their fists against the wood. Eventually, despite the door being sturdy and locked with two separate locks. Despite the dresser being in front of the door, it would eventually give and all those creatures and monsters would bleed into the bedroom and grab them.
       He feared what they wanted him for.

The creaking of the door's hinges could be heard throughout the house. Always at 12 am and then those... those things would spill out into the halls. Samuel shouldn't have opened that door. He should have never went inside The Room.
